My husband and I went here for the second time on October 11th. It was AMAZING! We sat in a really cute booth in the bar area and the atmosphere was great. There were people there but no wait. It is low lit with cute lights up and the bar is big. Prompt service and we had an efficient server. Forgot her name though but she was attentive and overall pretty good. The food was beyond delicious. I let my husband choose the 'Phish Monger 'which was one of the two specials for the night. He read the description and said i would like it so I said okay ill get it with out looking. SO YUMMy! A bed of spaghetti squash and radishes, cauliflower, cucumber with a fresh finger dressing. , and then whitefish filet rolled up and in the middle was a crab and goat cheese mixture in the middle. So creative I had the Chef come to our table to tell him how good it was. I am bugging my husband to go back already. Oh, he had the Chicken and waffles which is a regular menu item and it was Heavenly with a blueberry bourbon syrup. My mouth is watering! Can't wait to go back. read more

Four of us went last Friday about 7pm. Place was busy, which was no surprise, and we found a table in the outdoor section. Food was great; two of us had the fish special w/risotto - yum. One had the hanger steak (always a winner), one the Asian bowl (said it was great). The Itty never fails to deliver great food! We dined here tonight to celebrate my mom's birthday. We're on the north side of Holland, so the location is convenient. Plus I'd heard others recommend it. And they were busy, so obviously people like it. What they like, I'm not sure. We waited a full hour to get a simple appetizer of cheese dip with blue corn chips and pretzel bread. Something that basic should be out in 10 minutes on any night. With three kids in our party, this wait was particularly challenging. Our entrees look another half hour to arrive. I wish they were worth the 90-minute wait, but they were sadly underwhelming. My brother and I got the meatloaf, which was dry and nearly flavorless. My wife got the manicotti, which in fact was fried cheese sticks. Even my mom was disappointed in her salad with shrimp. I asked to see the manager, who arrived 15 minutes after my request. He turned out to be as disappointing as the rest of this place. Even if you're on the north side, keep driving. read more

There were just 4 adults and 3 children in our group celebrating a 70th birthday party. From the time we sat down until the food arrived it was a 90 minute wait. We asked to talk to the manager and he sheepishly walked over about 20 minutes later asking if we wanted "a round." Only one person in our party had even ordered an alcoholic beverage that night, plus, at that point, we were leaving. No other offer to make good on the horrible experience was made. Not a single person in our group liked the food, including the kids. Nothing was worth the price posted on the menu. We budgeted to spend money on this special celebration and definitely feel our money would have been better spent elsewhere. Very disappointed and will not be back. read more

I was looking for a place to go with two teenagers to eat & watch the World Cup and our host recommended Itty Bitty. I was a little skeptical because of the name but was very happy with our visit. Our server could not have been any more welcoming and accommodating. We ordered the cheese dip appetizer which was excellent, but had to have more chips. I had the fish and chips: fish was great, chips not my favorite type of fries. Teens had pizza which they said was very good. read more

Itty Bitty used to be one of our favorites but on a recent Saturday evening we waited 2 hours for our food. We thought it might have just been a bad night for them so we returned last Thursday to see if weeknights were better, plus the specials listed on their website sounded great. We ordered one of each special for two of us as soon as the waiter came over. He came back 15-20 minutes later to say one was sold out and it was only 7:30 pm. We ordered something else and then waited nearly another hour for the food to arrive. The food was good but be prepared for a LONG wait regardless of the day or time. Just finished dinner at itty bitty bar. We are locals so we have eaten there before and the food is good. However there was a used napkin at the bottom of my drink! I was astounded! I immediately went to the bar with the glass and the nonchalant response told me plenty about the cleanliness of this restaurant. They were not shocked, but did offer me another drink! I said no thank you I just want to get home because this was so gross. My advice: beware, beware, beware! I am terrified because whoever used this napkin could have had anything and now I just have to "wait and see". read more

I was pleasantly surprised with how great the food was here and how generous the portions were. Definitely a great value. I enjoyed my appetizers (the mashed potato quesadilla and roasted bone marrow) more than my actual entree. But the fried chicken sandwich was still fine. The service was fine, but nothing special. Overall, id recommend this place to anyone that wants American food near the lake. read more

We've been here a few times, and the food is always amazing. But especially the burgers - and if you're in for a bargain, go on Saturday/Sunday afternoon - they are the best, and they're reasonably priced. The cheese is very gooey, the beef is delicious, the onion is present enough to give it flavor without being overpowering, and the bun's pretty good, too. read more

Went there for the 1st time on Sunday, July 17, 2016. It wasn't busy and had many open seats. However, 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering a burger and sliders, we never received our food and we left without eating. The server told us there was a lot of food up and they were trying to sort it out!!!! The Bartender said, it is not unusual to wait over a 1/2 hour for a burger. Thanks to Yelp reviews my wife and I finally tried this place out. It's literally 2 minutes from my house and I've driven by 100's of times, but always thought it was a dive bar. Having lived in Atlanta, NYC, and Chicago, we've become foodies to a great extent. Moving to Holland 2 years ago was a shocker as the restaurants here are average at best. When we first entered the Itty Bitty Bar we were both concerned as it was still early and there was just a bar full of men drinking beer and an empty dining area. There was no hostess either. After standing in front for a few minutes a very eager bartender lady came over and told us to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. Once she brought the menus and started describing the specials we both started to smile. The options on the menu and the wine options were excellent. They just didn't fit the setting. The menu selections were more suited to an upscale restaurant in a big city. The place was also very noticeably kept clean. My wife ordered the Mahi Mahi special and I ordered the Pork Loin special. The starter salads were very good, clean and robust lettuce and homemade dressings. The meals came out and we were blown away at the presentation. The meals could have easily been served at a big city upscale restaurant. My wife's dish was amazing. The fish was apparently shipped in fresh, served on a bed of spaghetti squash with sauteed brussel sprouts and gourmet level garnish and presentation. The tastes were just as good. The service was also excellent. After about 10-15 minutes the place started to fill up with a professional looking crowd. We watched dishes come out and they all looked excellent. We are absolutely looking forward to coming back here frequently. This place is an anomaly in Holland, MI. Even the supposed "best" restaurant on 8th Street downtown (Butch's) doesn't even come close to touching the food quality at Itty Bitty Bar. Bravo to this place and thank goodness it's so close to us. We will continue to come back and sample what looks to be the best food we've had in the Holland area. read more

ordered burger and mussels.. burger is ordinary.. fries were warm but not hot.. seem like thry have been siting out for a while before it was served.. snd mussels were way too salty for me...and if u are rush for time.. dont come here bc it took a while for them to bring out the food.. at least 30 mins.. and they even put out a disclaimer to let the customers know it can take up for one hour before the food are served.. read more

Our experience this Friday evening was wonderful and earned a full 5 star. The mussels are delicious, the broth, garlic bread all make a terrific meal. My husband paired his meal with a side salad and I chose the garbanzo soup with clam strips. The food came out promptly, the presentation was top notch and we enjoyed every bite. The manager stopped by our table to ensure everything was fine, what a nice touch. Our server (Tina) was friendly and informative on menu items and attentive to , our needs. The atmosphere is a typical bar scene with low lighting, included large tables for big groups, high top tables and regular 4-top tables, and a large L-shaped bar that seats many. A separate (porch) room was packed with patrons eating and having fun. Our room was more reserved, maybe the older people, but a lot of laughter and good times happening! Windows and glass were sparkling clean as well as the restrooms. We recommend this restaurant for the menu choices (it's hard to decide what to order!), food prep, food presentation and a fun time! read more

We stop at Itty Bitty maybe 4 times a year, maybe more, depends, but last night was thee worst service ever. I hate writing negative reviews but did not want to say anything to the waitress who was already in a bad mood. We were there around 7 pm, ordered drinks and put in for the wings, which were delicious, we put our entree order in - I ordered the ahi tuna noodle bowl and bf ordered the manicotti with blackened chicken with NO onions...anywhere, 'k no problem'. Our food comes out and there is no way bf is going to eat his meal that has onions; we told the waitress and she said she put down 'no onion but there is onion in the bruschetta' he said he cannot eat it. She said he could order something else or she could go have them remake it with no bruschetta, her attitude was horrible which didn't help the situation and he said he didn't want it and didn't want to order anything else so she took it. We both started eating the ahi tuna (no problem at all, I wasn't going to eat the whole thing anyways) and another waitress comes out with a new plate of the manicotti and blackened chicken with the bruschetta on the side, we were both surprised because he had said he didn't want it and he didn't want something else. We would've preferred to share the ahi tuna and get the manicotti taken off our bill.There was no point in saying anything to our waitress about it when she hadn't listened when he said he didn't want anything anymore. He has worked in the food industry before and we were both surprised that when he first said no onion that she didn't inform us that it's in the bruschetta, he would have said 'ok don't put the bruschetta on the plate then' he cannot eat onions. Just a little disappointing, I've never had service like that before. I get it that people have bad days but put on that fake smile and don't have an attitude; I was ready to get up and walk out I was so frustrated. read more
