iv deli mart more often than not is going to hit the spot. it's good and greasy and just what you need after a night out, but also has options that don't disappoint when sober. i think certain items are pricey for the portion/qualify, but overall it's pretty good read more

The cashier and cooks are fine but there was an older woman just yelling and being passive aggressive to the young cashier that really irritated me . Its not professional at all to loudly correct your cashier in such a rude tone infront of customers . It made me feel bad for the cashier. She also yelled at us for not lining up on the carpet when there was plenty of room for people to come into the store . If its that much of a problem then put up a sign. The food is bad idk if its because its busy asf now but i dont know who on earth decided to use the bun they use for burgers esp when its way too big for the size of the patty. I usually dont leave reviews but it just made me upset how the manager or whoever was in charge was speaking to people. read more

This is one of the fine fast foods in IV The turkey sandwich is about $8 and the fries about $9. It is enough to eat for 3 girls. The vegetables are fresh and it is really good taste We enjoy the food and satisfied:) read more

I've heard lots of great things about their Buffalo crispy chicken cheese fries but sadly they were a disappointment. The chicken was incredibly dry and so were the fries. The ratio of cheese to sauce to chicken was way out of place. Literally threw out my fries because of how bad they were :( The lady at the counter was so sweet though which is the only reason this is getting 2 stars. read more

This place makes my favorite breakfast sandwiches ever, but since it was later in the day we ordered the spicy honey chicken sandwich instead. Huge mistake. Huge. This sandwich is a gloppy, sticky, disgusting mess. There's no way to taste the chicken because there is SO. MUCH. SAUCE. Even if it tasted good it would be impossible to eat, because the bread is falling apart and the slimy onions and pieces of chicken squirt out in all directions, leaving you with a handful of pretty much nothing but sauce. We threw two whole sandwiches away. Truly gross. read more

I have to work a lot and used to order here regularly. The reason why I order food is because I am working long shifts. They forgot my fries, I already paid for it. I called them and they suggested me to call the manager the next morning, which is just to much effort for $3.5. Told me then, I should come by and get a refund or get my fries, was not friendly and hung up the phone abruptly. I cannot recommend this place. read more

Buffalo chicken cheese fries! It's a true IV staple on weekend nights. I prefer it to drunchies from Freebirds. The cheese + buffalo sauce mix is perfect. Grilled chicken can be on the dry side though. The regular size is enough to share with a friend. They also offer it in a full size takeout box. I don't live in IV anymore but every time I'm back, I must get buffalo chicken cheese fries! read more

Let's me start off by saying the food is great! The one star is for the bad customer service I received from Dana. I did an online order, printed my Receipt and had my co worker pick up my order. When she arrived the order was not even started. I recommended this place because of the food but little did I know the person working there was not cooperative. She refused to reimburse me for the missing fries in my order and when refunding me for the wings combo she only refunded me $10 which did not include the tax. I hope that you fix this problem because again... the food is amazing. Not sure if I would return any time soon. P.s. the burger meat was hard and tasteless this time read more

I didn't actually order the food, so I can't speak to that but I would like to commend the staff. I was in on Valentine's Day 2023; I'm an Uber driver and i had an issue (long story), but the bottom line is that I found myself stuck outside of IV deli Mart with a car problem that prevent prevented me from driving my vehicle. Meanwhile i had customers waiting for me to come to their location. Not a pleasant pickle to find myself in. The three lovely ladies working here that afternoon were total rock stars and saved my day! And they did so without taking time away from the other customers... they appropriately tended to customers first and then in between, they did some ninja $#!+ to help me figure out my dilemma and i hope they read this because i am so grateful! These 3 ladies straight up made my day... I don't know what I would have done without their help. Bosses, you've got yourself some exceptional people on your team! read more

My tummy is grumbly and I need something yummy. Well lucky for me and the rest of my crew theres a spot open at 2am. An assortment of fried foods of sort and the usual toast sandwich with bacon. If you didnt consume any empty calories the whole day but pounded a couple seltzeis, then come on by the IV Deli Mart. This place is BOMB!! I've been back and forth between vegan/vegetarian for 20 years and this spot is a hidden veg gem. I ordered the vegetarian buffalo chicken fries and they were DELICIOUS!! The price is totally reasonable and the food came out fast, fresh and hot! The customer service was great. Everyone (including kitchen staff) seemed so friendly and upbeat. I was helped by Dana who was super nice and helpful and explained the menu to me. While I was waiting, I walked around the store which is super clean and well lit. THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD SNACKS!! The selection is huge, I was really surprised. A lot of snacks and drinks even seemed exotic and fun. I will 100000% be back to try every veg item on the menu. Horrible customer service rude cashier also you get charged to take condiments off of your order and charged a connivence fee, I would understand if I was adding something to the Order, I used to love this place, now it has just gone down hill in the last 6 months I've had 3 bad experiences since then, I am done with this place food is not prepared well and is cold. read more

IV Deli in a nutshell: An alternative to Freebirds and another inexpensive College Food place that you can get at 2:30 am. It's definitely a little bit disgusting when you're sober but fine if you're turnt. Personally I find the Dirty Andrew to be better priced than the more expensive Buffalo Chicken Fries that everyone seems to rave about. It's just ranch chorizo with fries and optionally cheese and eggs, but has the exact same amount for Buffalo Fries. It can be a hit or miss on the crowds, because one time on a Friday it took almost 45 minutes of wait time to get food while another time took 5 minutes. Just be sure to start your order between 10pm to midnight on weekdays because they are surprisingly crowded during those times. Everything has a 50 cent surcharge, and another 50 cents if you use your card. The place is take out only. It's super divey but you can't expect much from a place that basically caters to college students. If you don't want to wait order it on SB menus. read more

Takeout wings and fried pickles were excellent! Only problem is that it was supposed to be a wing combo, but neither fries nor the ranch dip made make it into the bag, which made this an overpriced dinner. The personnel seemed really nice, though. read more

When I arrived at the store (after ordering online) there were some in-house specials that looked particular interesting that I'd have been interested in. All in all, this is a wonderful place that comes with a wonderful story.

Being a UCSB student, I've had my fair share of experiences with IV Deli. Let me start by saying, the reason i give IV Deli 3 stars is because of their customer service and what they stand for. These guys are so money hungry and greedy it really makes me wonder how they survive in a college town where students are strapped for cash. Since freshman year (I'm now a senior) I think they've raised the price of their sandwiches about 3 times. Yes they're good, but are they really worth 10 bucks when Subway is doing 5 dollar footlongs? I think not. Aside from that, they try to jack the prices up on everything, and i mean EVERYTHING. A stupid scantron that costs 25 cents at the IV bookstore, is 50 cents at the Deli Mart. One time when i was 5 cents short and almost late for my test, he tells me, "sorry boss, 5 cents is 5 cents". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? And stop calling me boss too... On top of that, they charge a ridiculous fee if you decide to use your credit card, i mean c'mon, get over yourselves... Now I'm not going to entirely hate on IV Deli because their sandwiches do taste damn good at 2 AM and they deliver. They're also the only place i know in IV that does the 2 for 1 Blunt special. So.... take what you will from this review, but I have made it a point to avoid IV Deli unless absolutely necessary or its 2 AM and I'm blasted out of my mind in the mood for a sandwich. read more

Wow, i read the last review & it was spot on hahaha! IV deli sucks alot. Their delivery time is terrible, the lines take extra long especially when its crowded, & the fat guy with the hat is kinda weird & the employees are a bit off.... BUT REGARDLESS ITS THE BEST IN IV...like their chicken shawarma wrap is heavenly. Their wings & fries are the best thing in the world when you're drunk. I used to work here and i'm going to be so brutally honest this place is so incredibly unsanitary. During the brief time i worked here i got food poisoning from the food three different times. The cooks never wash their hands and i've watched them send out food that they dropped on the ground and i kid you not lick their fingers while preparing food. i would not recommend eating here if you don't want food poisoning. At 3:20pm today, I placed an order of fries, taquitos, 1 wrap, and 2 shakes. An hour later, my food arrives. I paid via debit card, so i tipped online, and the delivery guy hands over the food and says "thanks for the tip." sounded a little lippy to me. Well, my friends and I open our food, and find both shakes with flat whipped cream on top in a small little strange mess and the shake completely melted, room temperature.
