Bacon Macaroni and Cheese
Joshua M.

I tried a lot of things on the menu... Here is how I rank the Mac & Cheese: 1. Bacon Mac & Cheese. It's the same price as the bomb Mac and cheese. They both contain bacon, so i thought this bacon Mac and cheese would be a bad deal ..that is until I tried it and realized that it has A LOT more bacon than the bomb Mac and cheese. Probably like 10x more bacon. It's awesome. I didn't have to add anything else like sauce to finish it. Every bite was awesome. Favorite so far. 2. BBQ Chicken Mac & Cheese. I like the BBQ version more than the Buffalo. I got more chicken this time and it improved the overall meal. 3. Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. The chicken is good, i got the crispy version, but there isnt enough pieces of chicken for the price. It's good, but not worth the money. 4. Bomb Mac & Cheese. Great, spend the extra money instead of getting the regular Mac and cheese. I had to add spicy mayo, Sriracha, spicy mayo and jalapenos from Lao Wang to make it better though. 5. Flamin Hot Mac & Cheese. The crushed Takis definitely improve the regular Mac & Cheese. Therefore it's definitely worth the extra dollar for the crushed Takis. Or just buy a bag of Takis and crush them yourself and add that to the regular Mac and cheese. But for convenience, just get this one instead of the regular Mac & Cheese. 6. Street Corn Mac & Cheese. Not as good as the other Mac & Cheese options. More queso fresco would make it better, but it wouldn't be enough to make it worthy of a second purchase. 7. Mac and Cheese. Good, but needs something extra. Kinda plain, I added Sriracha, chili oil and spicy mayo from Lao Wang to make it better. 8. Mac Bites. My least favorite Mac & Cheese option. The monster sauce is good. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Snack Wraps with 15 different sauces. From Favorite to least favorite: 1. Crispy chicken snack wrap with House Sauce, is delicious. 2. Chipotle Sauce. 3. Ranch. 4. Honey BBQ Sauce. 5. Teriyaki Sauce. 6. Spicy Asian. 7. Spicy Sauces. 8. Hummus. 9. Spicy Mayo. 10. Honey Mustard. 11. Buffalo. 12. Bleu Cheese. 13. Tzatziki. 14. Green Salsa. 15. Tahini. I tired ALL of the Grilled Cheese options. I enjoyed all of them. I ranked them from favorite to least favorite: 1. CRISPY Chicken Pesto Grilled Cheese. 2. GRILLED Chicken Pesto Grilled Cheese. 3. B.L.T. Grilled Cheese. 4. Bacon Avocado Grilled Cheese. 5. The Bacon Cheddar Ranch Grilled Cheese. 6. Chili Grilled Cheese. 7. BBQ CRISPY Chicken Grilled Cheese. 8. BBQ GRILLED Chicken Grilled Cheese. 9. The Veggie Grilled Cheese. 10. Fantastic Grilled Cheese. 11. The Caprese Grilled Cheese. 12. The Bacon Mac & Cheese Grilled Cheese. . 13. Adult Grilled Cheese. 14. Classic Grilled Cheese. I have tried 3 different bread options for the Grilled Cheeses. Favorite to least favorite. 1. Sourdough Toasted 2. Rye Toasted 3. Wheat Toasted I have tried all Wing flavors (BONE-IN) except for Ghost Pepper. Favorite to least favorite. 1. Mango Habanero 2. Honey Garlic 3. Spicy Asian 4. Garlic Parmesan (better than Wingstop) 5. Honey Hot 6. Teriyaki 7. Honey BBQ 8. Spicy Buffalo 9. Spicy Korean 10. Mild Buffalo 11. Cajun 12. Lemon Pepper 13. Plain 14. Spicy Scorpion (Extremely Spicy) I've tried every sandwich except for the Falafel and the Fat Hippie. Rank: 1. The Fat Gaucho (I think if I changed the Honey BBQ Sauce to Chipotle or House Sauce it would be the best) 2. The Fat Sam (I think if I removed the fries it would be better) 3. Pastrami (Delicious) 4. Philly Cheesesteak Arguably better than Jersey Mike's Cheesesteaks. 5. Chopped Cheese 6. Patty Melt 7. B.L.T. (Best Bacon in I.V.) 8. Lamb Gyro 9. Ham Sandwich 10. Veggie Sandwich I made a separate sandwich list for the chicken options. Rank: 1. Chicken Shawarma 2. Southwestern Chicken Club 3. Honey Spicy Chicken 4. Chicken Bacon Ranch 5. BBQ Chicken 6. Chicken Pesto Avocado 7. Buffalo Chicken with Bleu Cheese 8. Chicken Tender I made a separate list for Turkey. Rank: 1. Turkey Chipotle Club 2. Turkey Pesto Avocado 3. Turkey Sandwich. I've tried some of the Burgers. Rank: 1. Gaucho Burger 2. IV Burger 3. Buffalo Burger 4. Breakfast Burger 5. 1/4 (Quarter Pounder) 6. Hamburger I've tried some of the Fries. Rank: 1. Dirty Andrew Fries 2. Asada Fries 3. Buffalo Chicken Cheese Fries 4. Animal Style Fries I recommend using their IV Deli APP, because you save time and you can customize your order A LOT. The APP also gives you credits for free food. Overall I loved eating here and ordering something new every day. I liked that this place was open late and had a HUGE & awesome variety of comfort foods :) I was shocked I was able to purchase BOSS coffee here, because I only saw these little cans of coffee in vending machines in Okinawa and mainland Japan..that's awesome:) I.V. Ive been here a few times and it's hit or miss with the fries. First time i got the buffalo fries (past midnight) they were sooooo fire and divine. Second time, i got the same order but picked up at around 7:30pm. I got my order in 3 minutes which was suspicious to me. the fries were barely cooked and the chicken chunks were less crispy. Third time here, i ordered right before closing and again, the food was sooooo good, crispy fries and plenty of sauce. I've come to the conclusion that the food is better late at night and i'm assuming it may be because it's the same cook in the late night. I would need a few more times to test this theory out. Have not tried items outside of the fries menu

Came here based on recommendation. Spoke very highly of their buffalo chicken fries and I just had to come to try it. This place is very unassuming in that it looks like a regular deli market but inside they have a kitchen. I thought I was at the wrong place because it looked like a regular convenience store. I only ordered their buffalo chicken fries so can't say much about their other dishes but I thought their fries were prepared very well. I think they were going for carne asada fries type of vibe and I appreciated that creativity. Overall, I think it tasted good and it was definitely very filling. I wish they added a few more toppings like fresh onions and would have been great if the chicken was more crispy since chicken kind of just got very soggy towards the end. Overall, worth a try if you are in the area but I wouldn't break my back to get it!

Buffalo chicken cheese fries 8.67/10- pretty good, they don't have enough crispy chicken as I was hoping. LOTS of Buffalo sauce. Comparative to marinating the grilled chicken from chick fil a in Buffalo sauce but like 5 packets of chick Buffalo.. the chicken is cooked which is very relieving for IV. The fries are the right amount of crispy to soft ratio. Honestly cooked to perfection. Not that much cheese to be marketed as cheese fries but thank god cause I feel like if it was cheesier I'd be sick Buffalo chicken cheese fries 9/10- chicken normally really crispy, fries are really good, sauce is good - raheem Buffalo chicken fries 10/10- intoxicated scale. Best drunk food ever. This is prime junk food, I don't think I've ever had these sober or will have these sober. Maybe a 7/10 if I was sober - Nick Vegan Buffalo chicken cheese fries 8.7/10- a little sour, and after taking a million bites you get kind of sick about it, the rating speaks for itself on a good part - Mansi Oh also to comment on the vegan Buffalo chicken cheese fries, the chicken in this tastes the same as regular chicken but a hint of tofu taste but like literally the same - Tammy This is known to be the late night munchies spot in isla vista given that everything is closed by 11:30/12. This place stays open till 1 am I believe. Has groceries mostly but their main attraction is the Buffalo chicken cheese fries. They do have a wide variety however this is their best item (common thought)

Great place to get snacks, especially late at night for midterm or finals says open till 2 - MJ

Cashiers are a little snobby with their IPad flipping but they make up for it with their basket of free narcan.

Fantastic food! My friends lovingly refer to it as "drunchy" food and I agree! Everything is really great and super reasonable prices.

The space had plenty of seating. We ordered the Korean Nashville chicken sandwich, Chicken Parmesan sandwich, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, baked beans, and banana pudding (not pictured). The Korean Nashville chicken sandwich was super tasty and had a good amount of spice. The chicken was perfectly fried and loved that it had a little asian fusion to it. Was a little thrown off by only one slice of bread being toasted, but it didn't change the overall taste. The chicken parmesan sandwich was on the specials menu, and it did not disappoint! Loved the bread roll it was on, and it was nice that they gave an extra side of marinara to dip. Out of the sides the baked beans were my favorite! Super tasty with bits of bacon. Mac and cheese and cole slaw were both solid. The banana pudding was also amazing! Super fresh and was a generous portion. Will be back!

Very warm, welcoming and professional staff. It was busy and the cashier/waitress handled taking orders, delivering food to tables and kept the customers informed that she would be with them soon and all with a smile. The chicken tenders are tasty, tender and a nice size. Good sauces too. Biscuits are mini biscuits, tasty but expensive for what you get. I would prefer to just pay for a regular size biscuit instead of $10 for 6 mini one-bite biscuits. My main gripe were with the wings. They are a nice size, but not tender and cooked with too much batter. You have to cut into them to take the batter off or else you get a mouthful of batter. Also, the meat itself is not seasoned. If they could improve the wings it would be a much better product. So for now, we'll stick to the tenders.

It is extremely rare that I write a review without actually visiting in person. My sister somehow…read moregot my hooked on this small, local sandwich chain. I had seen its various locations (Isla Vista, Santa Barbara's Mesa and Goleta) and always wanted to check it out; yet leave it to my sister from out of town to introduce me to it. Twice she has ordered take-out sandwiches at lunch time for us. Their sandwich menu is nutso with 36 creations to choose from, including several that are vegetarian. Of course, the options are endless if you choose to build you own! I went with the #14 (a turkey BLT) and #2 (turkey and cheese) which are simply basic yet tasty. I have no idea what they do to their bread but is addicting. Slight crunch on the outside, yet soft to the squeeze and full of gummy flour flavor! All of the ingredients appear fresh and nothing special--which I appreciate when I want a deli sandwich. I love the fact that you can purchase your sandwich in a variety of sizes including a "mini" for if you need a snack to hold you over and not a full meal. I also think of children, those who are on a lower carb diet, who have had bariatric surgery, or are limiting portion sizes. I personally go for a "small" sandwich. However, if you want to go all out, choose the "medium" or "family" size. Even better, if you're hosting a party, order a three to ten foot long sandwich (requires a day's notice). I will be back to check out the actual place--third time's a charm they say. I've heard both their chicken salad and tuna salad are both delicious. That's next up! P/S: According to Yelpers, they do not accept the Check-In Offer for a free soda with a sandwich purchase. They should really remove this from their Yelp page... Note: Only the Milpas location offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, french fries and chicken nuggets. Note squared: They charge more for credit card payments. Note cubed: If you want free entertainment, check out their Milpas website menus with adorable, phonetically spelled items. (gient vs giant, meetball vs meatball, and phylly vs philly).

I bought two (already overpriced) medium-sized sandwiches for $36.38 including tax. If that was not…read moreenough, I was actually charged $37.56, due to paying with credit card. I have no issues with credit cards needing extra 3% charge itself, but the real issue was that I was never told about this extra credit card charge in advance. Nor was there any indication in the store or on the website that credit card payments incurred this 3% surcharge. Finally, upon asking for a refund of $37.56 - $36.38 = $1.18, the manager actually yelled at me, saying that this 3% credit card charge is "commonplace". This is bullshit untrue across the country, as we all know (especially if not told in advance). Thus, long story short, this store simply aims to earn as much money from consumers as possible, even if this means overstepping the bounds of ethics.
