Went here for an amazing dinner! This was our first time here and I treated my husband to a wonderful steak dinner. My husband loved his ribeye And he said the hot spicy crab dip was second to the one we have had in Florida. Dallas, our waiter was amazing. Super friendly and kind enough to switch out my over done rare prime rib. Having the filet rare is so so clutch. Topped the evening with the turtle cheesecake! Absolutely delicious! (They have a dessert tray) Loved the rustic family like style of the restaurant with the deer heads and memorabilia on the walls. Can't wait to come back to try their martinis. (FYI there is a 2 martini limit!) And fyi for the Steelers fan in your life this is a Steeler bar. I didn't know that until my husband so that. So eyeroll... we will be back. We can guess what team he is for.

    The duck is awesome!

Best steaks and Prime Rib in Salisbury/Lexington! Definitely go here for a Birthday, Anniversary or Special Occasion. Love Ivan's!

Beer And Cheese Soup Served In A Bouille

If I could give Ivan's 6/5 stars I would. We have dined at this restaurant on numerous occasions, each being just as memorable as the last. The food here is always delicious, consistent, and the service is great. We always come back for the beer cheese soup but are more than pleased with our entrees whenever we eat. I couldn't recommend Ivan's enough for your next celebration, or just a night out to eat!

Palate cleanser. Lemon lime sorbet. Absolutely wonderful.

O my Word !!! Mushrooms Amazing. French onion soup, one of the best I have ever had. I have eaten prime rib in at least 6 different states across America. Hands down the best prime rib I have ever had. The restaurant has a very western rustic style beautifully decorated. Service was fantastic and super friendly. Just the way I like it. So glad we decided to eat here. It will now become a part of our yearly tradition of coming up to the high rock lake area.

Stumbled into this restaurant when traveling in North Carolina... loved the place, old school look and feel, pretty solid menu and great friendly "fancy" service. I ordered the prime rib, 14 oz. Very delectable! They serve lemon sorbet between courses. Dessert was also very nice. Was a great "small town" experience that I recommend for anyone around the area.

We had a wonderful meal for our Anniversary! Quiet and upscale ambiance with attentive service. Our server, Jensen was great, friendly and met all our needs with a smile. Drinks, appetizers and dinner all came out in a timely fashion. The filet was perfect! Best we've ever eaten. We both liked the onion soup and Maryland crab cake was a good as I've had in Baltimore. Save room for dessert, the NY cheesecake and Tuxedo cheesecake were amazing and the prefect end to a great meal. Looking forward to having dinner at Ivan's again!

We finally made it here. After months of talking about it and planning with friends, dinner finally happened. It was Saturday and Ivan's opens at 5. They do take reservations but I've been told if you are there when they open, you can usually get a table. We got there at 5:10 and the place was already willing up. But we did get a booth for the 5 of us. Ivan's definitely is a more upscale place than what I am used to but comfortable attire is acceptable. You don't need to dress to the 9's. The hostess was sweet and polite and showed us to our booth. Our server was cheerful and very helpful. She gave us menus and the wine list. We all got ice water and she also brought a big basket of fresh rolls and butter. Excellent ! 10/10 on the crusty rolls. Ivan's is NOT cheap so just be prepared. Ivan's is known for their steaks and prime rib. Although they do offer salmon, chicken, ribs and the like. I'll speak for my family and our food experience. My oldest daughter ordered the Cajun chicken, baked potato and broccoli. My wife ordered the salmon, baked potato and veggie medley. I ordered the 10oz prime rib, medium with veggie medley. We all got salad as well. The salads came first and they were very fresh. Not even a hint of old lettuce. Very good. Ivan's also offers a palate-cleansing sorbet after your salad before the entree comes. Pretty nice. My daughter was disappointed in the chicken. Two small boneless breasts with seasoning on it. She said the chicken was dry. I told her it was a steak place but alas, she ordered what she wanted to. Potato and broccoli were good. 5/10 on the chicken. Wife loved her salmon and the rest of her meal. 10/10. My prime rib was EXCELLENT and served with a creamy horseradish sauce. Outstanding. Although I ordered it medium, it was a bit on the rare side but the taste was superb. Would definitely get it again. Between the rooms, salad and main meal, nobody had room for dessert. Ivan's is an excellent place to get a special meal. On our budget, this is a once, MAYBE twice a year place for us. We treated our two friends to their dinner. For the five of us, plus $30 tip, the bill came to $198. With the exception of the chicken, all the food was outstanding. The chicken is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. This place is well worth a visit for a special occasion or if you are blessed with a healthy wallet. We I'll go back. But my wallet needs to recharge first.

We love to eat out and we chose to eat here for my birthday this year…read more I sent a letter to the restaurant a week ago. This is an edited version. First impression: We were not automatically offered a table inside or out but were told "Follow me" to the outside table. Please see the photo. Does this look like a nice setup for an almost $300 meal? The table was wobbly. The paint on the wall was peeling. Maybe they should hire an artist to decorate that blank wall. The inside is very dark. First course: Oysters. Sauce delicious: BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH TINY OYSTERS. Barely a blip in your mouth, 1/4"?? These are on the menu also as charred? Huh? Do they have different oysters for that? Nothing would be left. We got tiny oysters on seaweed did not match even the photo on their web site, decent size oysters on ice. One week later I ate at a restaurant in Hickory and got six fabulous oysters for $13.25. CV charges $21. Main course: Branzino and asparagus. $52. Very nice. But (and I just had to look back at the menu on line to see what this was), the charred radish was so hard you could hardly poke a fork into it, inedible. And I was not aware of a single fava bean as advertised on the menu. Swordfish special: $52. Slightly overcooked. Blackened carrots rock hard, inedible. Whoever is in charge of vegetables needs to taste before sending out. While we were eating the fish, the server placed two steak knives on the table. Huh? Dessert: Dubai chocolate eclair sounded great. Maybe bought at Costco or Sams??? Two arrived on a plate with absolutely no presentation. One with a squiggle of chocolate underneath would have been better. Absolutely no pistachio flavor and VERY COLD. Should be room temperature. Did they come out of the fridge or freezer? Perhaps at room temperature flavor would have been more obvious. It was nice that when I had mentioned dark instead of milk chocolate the kitchen used dark. Table not cleared for dessert. Steak knives still there. Irish coffee: there is more to Irish coffee than adding whisky to a lukewarm cup of coffee and asking if I wanted cream after coffee was delivered. I enclosed the recipe and photo in my letter. Wine: wine list fairly priced. Our server did not know anything about the Cotes de Rhone we questioned but brought the bottle for us to have a look at. As vineyard and winery owners we grew viognier, this is why we were interested in this particular bottle. The server took our photo and I mentioned it was my birthday. In many cases this would be referred to the kitchen. Nothing special ensued. The well dressed owner (Doreen) walked past our table a number of times (sometimes carrying used dishes or glasses) without even glancing at us. I guessed she was the owner and spoke up. A nod and hello would have been nice. We came here with an open mind prepared to spend a large sum on a birthday dinner. Read the captions under the pictures. One oyster shot from their web site. Wish I had photo'ed what I got. The other oyster shot Hickory Restaurant one week later for less money.

They are all I know and all I need to know! The owners, a married couple, are very hard workers. I believe they've closed their Lexington location. But the wife used to work their while the husband worked in Salisbury. Now I see her in Salisbury manning the Food Truck right outside. It is a family business I think. I've had conversations with many members of the family. Even a elementary school young boy, who I think was the owners grandson, who could identify the fish by just glancing at it. I really love the family feel of Inlands. Each time I go in rather i'm in a rush or have time for a quick conversation, it just feels right. Inlands is nothing fancy at all, just fresh, local seafood!! If you want fish, you can pick it yourself! You head to the freezer and find a container and tongs and start throwing your fish in. Otherwise you can hope and line and make your requests. They can get very busy but they handle it very well. You can also call ahead and they will give you a time and have it ready for you when you arrive. They also sell everything you need for your fish fry needs, Oil, Corn Meal, Breader, Fries & Sides, & Seasonings. And they have the best Slaw in town!! Sometimes i'll pick up shrimp & scallops. They even have Salmon sometimes where they cut the portions right from the fish. It's awesome. I love Inlands and recommend them to anyone who is looking for Fresh Seafood right here in town!
