Wow we we're anxious about this. Kind of like "give your keys to the favorite car for the first…read moretime, the only car, to the cat and genuinely wish her a good time." I imagined her making brownies, popcorn, having a BBQ and not turning off the grill afterwards. Carried away-then I remembered this is Molly, our favorite cat, and prepared to have someone else in our messy house. The manager "Mollie" was very organized. We, were very detailed. I organized food in one cabinet, with post-its for info, post-it where her room litterbox was after already giving info to the manager I think it helped make things simpler. We started getting daily reports, with "basics" box checked. They were thorough, precise, and complete. My Dad worked for Polaroid for 20 years, and these pet sitters were awesome at taking pictures. Every day we'd open up the emails and this noise would come out of our mouths: not ooh! Yecch! But...: Awwww, look at how cute she looks. Her wariness and caution as a cat showed, but her shyness rounded the corner a bit. Sitter4paws let us take a long vacation worry free at what we thought were reasonable prices, for a truly truly worry free vacation. Great communicators, responsible, and reliable, and awesome photographers. Thank you!

I will never use them again after my TERRIBLE experience. Initially used this service for a short business trip with success so tried again for a longer trip to see family between Christmas and NYE. The company sent a sitter I had never met who incorrectly used the pill injector on my sick, elderly cat and forced her to swallow the over inch-long applicator tip. Resulted in $3,000 emergency vet surgery to remove that I had to manage from out of town. So deeply stressful for me but mainly my poor elderly asthmatic cat!! They handled it but SO unnecessary and only happened bc of their bizarre business model where they pick whichever of their employees are available, not someone who knows your house/pet. So if you get one who knows what they're doing you don't necessarily get them again - it's totally random from the customer's perspective. Instead of enjoying my family I had to spend the time managing the emergency they created from afar, stressed and fuming that I trusted this company to send someone competent to care for my sweet older cat. After the first disastrous pill delivery issue they sent the **same person** again a day later who clearly doesn't know how to give a cat medication and she, again, incorrectly gave my cat her medication!!! My cat gets ill if she misses just one day, the medication is a high-dose steroid for her asthma. The employee did not know how to give her the pill, but still marked the medication as administered on their form (I only figured out it didn't happen when I read the notes) and instead of giving her the pill rubbed it on her gums -?!? I am FURIOUS for my poor cat and at the incompetence of this employee they continue to use, along with the management that assured me they know how to give cats medication and yet still sent this individual out after it was proved that they cannot give a cat medication effectively. The other employees seemed to be ok but I had no choice over who they sent over, meaning every visit was a gamble. If you need anything beyond the most basic service, avoid avoid avoid!!!

After using app-based walk and pet-sitting services, we wanted something more personal for our fur babies - we wanted them to see the same people on a regular basis, and to know that there were professionals who were watching out for their well-being with the same concern as us....we found that and more in The Long Leash. The love they get each day in the form of walks, pets, love and attention priceless, but then you add in The Long Leash special touches and it's beyond incredible: -after each visit, your walker will send personalized messages (with photos!) to you describing your angel's antics and actions (they are eagerly awaited by us everyday, and we promptly forward them to members of our family around the country who now love The Long Leash walkers as much as we do!) -we went on an extended vacation during which our walkers visited multiple times a day (messages after each visit, of course), and upon our return found a "welcome home" bouquet of flowers from our pets (our walkers). Adorable. -on rainy days, our walker takes our dog outside but then brings her in out of the rain to play brain games - she literally comes prepared with indoor fun to entertain and engage our angels even when they can't go outside! -they are experts at special requests and seem to love them and view them as a chance to know your pet better. -last but not least, our walker watches our pets' behavior as if they were her own, and notes any changes in appearance, and any new physical bumps or oddities that may be concerning, and any changes in behavior that we should look out for. I feel like we have another partner in their well-being. I just can't say enough about them - give yourself the joyful gift of The Long Leash in your life, for you and your pet!

They sent regular updates and pictures and Jen was great at putting together coverage for a full week on short notice! A lot of people look for the cheapest option but there are 2 big benefits I see with investing in actual professionals - 1. We knew our pets were getting the best care so didn't feel guilty and 2. We had someone in the house while we were away. The second one was important to us because we were broken into when on a previous vacation (when we lived in same city a few houses away in a very safe neighborhood). The police told us keeping visible activity in and out of the house while gone can help prevent this. The cost for quality care was much less than the value of what was taken in that incident. When we returned our pets were obviously very well cared for. The sitters slept in our guest room but brought their own linens to use on top of ours so we wouldn't have to do laundry which I though my was extra thoughtful (though we would have been happy for them to use ours). Will be using them whenever we go away and highly recommend - just plan ahead so you can book them in advance! Bonus points for their text updates on the pets being hilarious

Daisy and Koda have very different temperaments, but Francesca was able to adapt her approach to meet each of their individual needs perfectly. If your dog is leash pulling and taking control of your walks, Francesca can give you the tools to lead your dogs in a more balanced walk. What I appreciated most was her focus on clear communication. She didn't just work with the dogs; she taught me how to lead them effectively so the training actually stuck at home. It is a continued work in progress, but now I have the tools to be consistent and train my dogs and future dogs. Whether it was working on leash manners or basic boundaries, the progress is incredible! If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands dog behavior and treats your pups like her own, I can't recommend Francesca enough. She is an avid dog lover and wants all dogs to acheive a better quality of life. Daisy and Koda are much more balanced now, and our walks are actually enjoyable!
