I've loved every experience I've had when going into this office to get my root canals done. I'm typically in a lot of pain when I go in, and they're always very accommodating, and kind ! They helped make sure I was calm and relaxed, before my procedures. And that I really admire!! Dr.Choi has such a good/light hand, and made my root canals go by so much more smoothly. Dr.Choi worked on me the fastest I have ever went through. Not only that BUT I didn't have much pain the next day at all . I had the pleasure of being under the care of Dr. Szeto himself and he did an extremely great job. They were constantly giving me breaks during the procedure due to the strain of keeping my mouth open for an extended period of time and they even finished the entire procedure in under an hour. first time at this office. was referred by another dentist for a root canal. already had gotten X-rays done from the dentist who referred me. so come to my appointment. mind you I was the only one waiting in the waiting room. I filled out my forms and they pretty much made me sign another form saying that incase they need more xrays it would be a xtra fee of $150 which mind you I had gotten X-rays the day before from my other dentist who referred me. i waited 3 hrs in lobby before they called me in. first thing they did without even lookikg at my tooth is the xrays! yes the $150 X-rays that they already had a copy of. so they did the X-rays take me to the room the dentist comes in looks at my tooth and the X-rays , explains to me what he has to do. took about 45 min or so and then says to me ok. we are all done. go to the front and have them schedule you an appointment so we can start. wait what!!!! you mean I waited 3 hrs and another 45 min the dental office is empty it's not like your busy and you want me to schedule another appointment to start my root canal. are you serious!!! so they schedule my app. to a few days later . my app was at 10:30 am. i get there at 10:15 as soon as I get there there's 2 patients in the lobby and I sign they gave me a form to fill out. im sitting down reading it before signing it I hear the receptionist says to me loudly and with a attitude can you hurry up and sign it or should I have someone else ahead of you. I looked at her and said excuse me! I'm reading my forms before I sign and I said my appointment is at 10:30 anyway why are you rushing me? she looks at me and says no your appointment was at 10:00 you were late ma'am W/ an attitude once again. I said no ma'am my appointment is at 10:30 and she argued w/ me saying it was at 10:00 I took out my appointment card and showed her and she had the biggest dumbest look on her face and says idk why I would write that it was supposed to be for 10:00. moral of the story i was a new patient here and I want to save you your time . I've been searching for a good dentist that provides honest and good work with regards to his patients. Unfortunately, I have met too many "professionals" that have pulled teeth that should have never come out, filed down molars that should have never been touched, adding extra work that I didn't need to have done; all because I trusted that they knew what they were doing in my favor. So needless to say, I have had a phobia of dental offices and their lack of integrity. After time passed I needed to see an edodontist fast and now. I literally prayed to God and meditated of what to do. Then I Googled and came across this office and forced myself to trust that I was aimed at the right place. Adelina researched our insurance and got me in! Andrea and Flor made certain that I was comfortable and calm. These 3 woman were a heavenly introduction to what to expect. From beginning to end, my experience has been better than I could have ever anticipated staring with the front office staff. Dr. Holman could tell that I was scared. Not only did Dr. Holman spare me any pain, but he also managed to save a tooth that had major complications, where other dentists have pulled teeth when they could have been saved. I highly recommend this business because I believe in the care, kindness, honesty, and most of all the integrity that I had the pleasure of experiencing from every one of these staff members. I must of caught this office on a really bad day. There was a very negative vibe at this office the day I went. I personally felt this office was all about taking as much money as possible. I was referred to Dr Szeto and during the consultation I paid $175 out of pocket for a CBCT scan of my jaw and was overwhelmed with information and when I tried asking for clarification the girl at the front desk seemed bothered by everything I was asking, she even told me it was up to me when to start taking antibiotics when Dr Szeto had just told me when to start taking them but I had forgot due to all the information I was given. I'm 42, I forget what someone just told me 5 minutes before this girl, I won't say her name because I forgot she just seemed like she was having a bad day and taking it out on anyone else. I must say I did not feel that welcoming feeling some mention. I do think that some kid helping out in the office attempted to make up for that girls attitude (he noticed she was giving me attitude) and also an older lady who initially took me to the back room was nice. It was jus that girl with attitude who happened to be the person I had to interact with the most who gave me the bad ju jus. I felt so uncomfortable with the whole situation that I asked for a CD of my scan that I paid for so I can proceed with the root canal elsewhere. If interested see my review for Dr Hong-Ming Tang in Diamond Bar who's staff made me feel the complete opposite and where I had my root canal done for about a third of the price. ***I am updating my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because after reviewing my initial post, Dr Szeto called me to personally give me an apology regarding my experience; he offered a refund of the CBCT scan and I took it! In my opinion, it is unfortunate that for me that day was a waste of time, however, I truly feel that Dr Szeto is genuinely not wanting to have anyone else experience the day that I did. He didn't have to call to apologize and refund my money and I thank him for that. read more
