WOW is all I have to say. From the initial phone call to the appointment itself, the staff at this office was nothing short of accommodating and extremely helpful. I originally went into their office by a referral of a close friend- my wisdom teeth have been bothering me for a week. I went into their office, was greeted by Letty who was extremely patient with me. I was seen right away and after my X-rays were taken, I was explained with great concern from the dentist why they wouldn't be able to do my extraction, and if I was a family member, they wouldn't do it. Which shows to me they aren't in it for the money, they genuinely want to help. Even though they weren't able to help me, they recommended an oral surgeon down the street. The appointment went n its entirety was about 15 minutes long, which is unheard of! I will definitely be coming here again and recommending all my friends here! read more

This was my first time coming to this office. I came for an emergency due to tooth pain. I called at 8am to see if they could see me today, and I was told I could come in right away. The office itself was very small and intimate. I was seen by Dr. Beljean, she was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. She told me one of my cavity fillings was cracked and that was what was causing my discomfort. She got to work right away and began numbing my mouth and preparing me for a cavity filling. I am usually very terrified of the dentist, but Dr Beljean and her whole team were so friendly and ensured I was completely numb prior to the procedure. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years and was very hesitant about finding a new dentist. I found Dr. Armienta on Yelp and was very hopeful this would be a good idea - and I was right. Not only was the Dr very nice, he also explained everything he saw on my xrays and his recommendations. He was not one to beat around the bush and I appreciated that. The staff is great! Letty explained what my benefits covered and assured me I could use my FSA to cover my portion of the costs. Maria and Stella were both kind and patient when I needed a moment to get it together. They were reassuring and made me feel comfortable even in what was for me a very uncomfortable situation. I got a much needed deep cleaning my first appointment and two fills (one to save an otherwise root canal) on my second visit. It was a great decision to come here. I have been coming to Dr Armienta for over 5-6 years now...maybe even longer. I found him through 1-800-DENTIST (I think) and he was right down the street from where I lived in Uptown Whittier. The office is converted from a house and has a waiting room, 3-4 exam rooms, a front desk and an office for Dr Armienta, somewhere in the space. Everything is clean, decorated warm and inviting, lots of up-to-date magazines and a tv. The only time I've really had to wait there was when my husband was in back and I was watching the kid or for a very short time between clients. Usually, I'm taken back pretty quick and his dental assistants do the laser imaging of my teeth while he's finishing up with the client ahead of me. I usually lose track of time, because there are flat screens in each exam room and they always give me the remote so I can watch whatever I want. I love tv and that's a selling point in my book. Anyway. Dr Armienta and all his staff are very personable and professional. He tells you the truth on what you need and let's you know what can be put off for another time. He really works with you. I have recommended Dr Armienta to several people and they have gone and they are fans and their spouses are also now clients of his. He's great. Dentist visits are not fun, but I do enjoy my visit to this office. You might, too. read more

Have been going to this place for about 3 years now and the staff is so friendly! We switched from another dentist in diamond-bar because he decided he was going to do a crappy job in pulling out teeth and cleanings. We were recommended to Dr. Armienta by some friends who were family and decided we had nothing to lose. It all started with a simple tooth removal that I did not feel at all compared to the other unexperienced dentist , and he became our permanent dentist. He is very professional and the staff is very polite and respectful. They are also very quick and still end up giving you a good cleaning. The waiting room is always clean and packed with magazines to read while waiting. Like I've seen on a previous tip, don't try to say you floss every day, because he knows lol. The staff is outgoing and friendly. They sure helped put me at ease as I always get nervous coming to the dentist. Dr.Armienta was the first dentist ever to tell me that I have TMJ. He explained the dangers of opening my mouth too wide and was able to work with me during my deep cleaning. After struggling so much with other dentists to open wide it was a relief to finally find a dentist that was so accommodating. First time there, and I left without even seeing the dentist. He was 30 minutes late to my appointment. They wouldn't give me a price point for veneers over the phone, so I made an appointment as requested. When the dentist notified his staff that he was stuck in traffic; he told them to go ahead and give me the price so I could go. I don't understand why they couldn't just tell me over the phone. I drove 25 minutes just to be stood up :( this is a family member's dentist so I came in with high hopes, especially with the good reviews. Alas, I am disappointed and bummed that this was my experience. The staff here are super wonderful!! They are welcoming and always ask how I am doing as well as my husband and daughter. They genuinely care about my wellbeing. I have coming here for about 5 years now even though I live in the OC I make the trip to Whittier because I love how clean and welcoming this place is! It is in a converted house so it still has that warm and cozy feel. The waiting is small but has comfortable. They have a good magazines and a small tv to keep you busy even though the wait is not long. Every exam room has its own tv as well. I was referred here by a friend and thank her every time because I have found the best dentist with amazing staff. They are really gentle and careful to take care of me sensitive teeth. I have referred my friends and co-workers here too. My husband comes here now too and he loves it! It is a small place and does get busy so make sure you make your appointment! We came here for the first time under some stress because my 7 year old had a bad toothache and my insurance is new, and i was not sure what the insurance provider was. The front office staff, Letty, was so helpful and patiently helped determine the insurance and squeezed us in for a last minute appointment. We got some bad news about my son's teeth. He had 8 cavities and a gum infection/absess! I was in a bit of shock to wrap my head around this, but the dentist and his staff helped explain the problems and swiftly, on a Friday afternoon, took care of the problems. My son's teeth quickly healed and the asess was removed. We all learned the hard way (especially for my son) that we need to take better care of our teeth and brush 4x a day(!) and floss regularly as well. On his day off, the dentist called home to check on my son's healing from the procedures!!! I am so grateful to the staff for their patience and kindness during a stressful time. My son was crying much of the time due to the pressure and pain, and they were reassuring the whole time. 2 days later and he is back to his happy, playful self. Dr Armienta has been our family dentist for many years. Whenever anyone asks, I always say my dentist, Dr Armienta, is the best dentist in the world. I needed a root canal done and had heard it was very painful. I was not thrilled that I needed one, but scheduled my appointment. The first of two appointments was pain free; as I scheduled the 2nd appointment I asked if the next visit was the painful procedure that everyone complains about. I was told that I had just finished with the major work; the next appointment would be a breeze. Wow, what a relief. I worried for nothing. A root canal was no big deal. Just came out of my dental appointment and as always it was a pleasant visit. The dr and his staff as always are AMAZING !!!!From the moment you walk in you feel as if you are family. It's cozy and feels very homie. You don't get the huge scary dental vibe there. Great selection of magazines to choose from and he even has cable in the rooms to watch tv while we wait... Which by the way the wait time is never long. He explains every procedure in detail so I never feel overwhelmed by anything getting done.
