Even though the staff and I don't share a common language, we've built an easy rhythm using smiles, gestures, and the occasional help from Google Translate. Their team is consistently warm, patient, and genuinely friendly, which creates a comfortable, positive experience every time. The food is the real headline. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. The tortillas--made to order right in the back--are incredible to watch and even better to eat. You can peek in and see the dough being shaped and cooked by hand. The tacos are generously packed with tender meat, melty cheese, and bright, fresh toppings. They're so substantial that finishing more than one is a challenge in the best possible way. We've now been twice on recent trips, and there's no question this spot has earned its place in our regular rotation whenever we're in Chicago.
