This place is super busy during the weekend but we decided to order to go which is a good decision. We got their medio pazole verde which was full with so much flavors. Everything is given on the side like cabbage and onions. We also got their botano platter which included flatuas which was good but really crunchy and the pork feet were pickled but was good as well. It's on such a busy road and not a lot of parking. Their horchata is good and really sweet and refreshing.

I had this place bookmarked for a while and my friend also went with her family and really liked it, so I finally got to go with my mom. The place is cute, warm, and cozy inside. The staff was very nice and the art inside was fun. We got the pozole flight and enjoyed being able to try all the pozoles although the white one was our personal favorite. We also got the flauta and chile capon. Definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I visited Peke's Pozole on a Saturday night about an hour before closing, and we were pleasantly surprised! We waited around 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all for a weekend night. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They came by our table a couple of times just to check if we needed anything else, which we appreciated. Now, the food... wow! My husband is a huge fan of Mexican food, and he absolutely loved the pozole, he also ordered two chiles capones filled with cheese, onion, and sour cream, he couldn't stop talking about how good they were! I got a huarache with beans, cheese, and sour cream on top, and it was MASSIVE. I wasn't expecting it to be that big, so I ate half and took the rest to go. This spot is such a gem if you're into authentic Mexican cuisine. We'll definitely be back very soon!

Coming from the north side, we were worried if it was gonna be worth it but Peke's Pozole was SO worth it! The Pozole Flight was perfect. Having all three options lets you really experience the best of what pozole has to offer. We loved the huge plate of toppings (tostadas, limones, avocado, and more!). Honestly, Pozole Rojo might be the best one. We tried the new menu item, Flautas de Pollo con consomé, and we loved them. Nice & crunchy with tons of flavor! The menus packed with options so we'll definitely make the drive back soon! Everybody was so nice and we got our food QUICK! A small, but well lit & decorated place. There's mainly street parking, but having a small parking lot a couple doors down is perfect!

So good! I've been here twice and it does not disappoint. The service is great! Waitresses are attentive and friendly. I've had their pozole flight and my favorite is definitely red. This last time I ate here I had their maracuya margarita which was flavorful. I recommend the sopes was an appetizer as well. All in all this spot is a great place to get pozole if not the best in Chicago.

Came in person and ordered pozole rojo for takeout on a Sunday afternoon. The gallon came with freshly made tostadas, lime, avocado, cabbage, and radishes. The pozole was very flavorful with plenty of meat and hominy. Would definitely recommend and order ahead for next time!

We've been coming to pekes for a long time and today was just a disappointment the pozole tasted straight up like sopa not even the hot powder chili helped ugh

What a great start to a fun eating weekend in Chicago. Quick stop from Midway. The pozole was great and the fixings fresh in abundance. Got the sampler and shared it with a friend. Still had leftovers.

Had to add pics! Look at all the stuff that goes in there! I definitely stuck with the large and took the leftovers with me!

Took a ride down 55 to the Southwest side to grab some authentic pozole. This place was worth the line. Put our names in line and went next door to grab some Cuban coffee. Wait was less than 20 minutes on a Sunday. Pozole was extremely tasty- my favorite was the green. Staff were super friendly and they make a great classic margarita. Looking forward to coming back with my caliente wife for some caliente soup!

Omg what a delicious place and especially during the winter. I crave warm food during this time and the pozole was exactly what I needed. I wouldn't change a thing! The provided all the sides you would need. I'm recommending to everyone I know! We had the carne asada fries and they were delicious. I underestimated how big the bowls of pozole were. My favorite is the pozole verde but if you're an adventurer they do have the pozole flight. The staff was very friendly and checked on us the entire time. I loved the decor!

Ok girls and guys if mom is not available to make you pozole well this spot right here can get you buy for sure. All 3 flavors are good but the red one I think outshines the green and white ones. Also had a gusta he and it was decent not to bad. Service was great and friendly food came out quick. Very clean place also. Yes please come here and eat some pozole.

Look no further than Peke's Pozole for the best Pozole in Chicago. Their Pozole is the gold standard. Everything we ordered was spot on delicious which I personally find rare when eating out. We arrived Saturday during prime lunch hour. Although busy, we were greeted and seated within minutes sans reservation. Service was swift and food came out at a good pace. Pricing is easy on the pocket which is always a plus. Street side parking seems to be the only option. A challenge for sure in a busy urban location but luckily a free space opened up steps away from the restaurant. Come with an appetite. The portions are hearty and there's plenty to take home afterwards.

Pozole FLIGHT was amazing. Quesabirria grande was packed to each corner

The place is small with a hard time to walk around when it's full. It's a nice bar restaurant and didn't realized until we were leaving that there's a back area. The bartenders could be a little more social and happy bc that seem a bit dull and unhappy working there. Unlike Martin he was happy. Mildred was our server and she did phenomenal. We stood at the door for about 20 minutes before someone finally told us the wait would be 1-2 hours. Keep in mind, the place is pretty small and already crowded, so there's barely any room to stand while you wait. After getting on the waitlist, we decided to go to a nearby spot for food--but not even 5 minutes later, we got called back saying our table was ready. When we returned, we were seated along the wall in a very tight space--so tight that if I stretched my arm out, I would've hit the person next to me. We noticed a large table nearby had been sitting for a while without food. When their food finally came out, it made us realize our wait would probably be even longer. After another 20 minutes passed and we still hadn't been able to order, we decided to leave. I'm not sure the space is fully ready for the rush right now--it feels overcrowded and service is slow. I'll give it another try once the hype dies down. I'm happy for their success, though--just be prepared to be patient when you go.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. The service was also AMAZING from start to finish and made the entire experience even better. One of those dinners where you leave already talking about when you're coming back If you're looking for the place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, date night, tacos & margaritas, or honestly just an incredible dinner in general... this is IT

The atmosphere is easily for dates, friend outings, after work outings etc. The restaurant decor is nice. It puts you in the mind of a European garden. There is no parking but a garage across the street along with metered Street parking. Beware parking cost $46 for about 2.5 hrs. The food bill was $141, way too expensive for tacos and a few margaritas. I will pass on this place.

Appetizers were quac and chips, and shrimp ceviche. The guac was really good, but the ceviche was the star. Served on a bed of cucumbers, it was visually beautiful, and the flavor was fresh and complex. There was also a LOT of it. We ended up taking some home. Entrees were steak and shrimp for me, and Tampiquena for my friend. In both dishes, the steak was done to perfection. The sauce that came with my shrimp was spicy and deep--lots of flavor layers there. Both of us took home portions of our meals because there was a lot of food on the plates. Finally, the service--the servers are attentive without hovering. If we needed something, they were there, but never intrusive. It is hard to believe this is a little neighborhood spot, given the service and the quality of the food. It was not too busy tonight--we ate early--but I recommend reservations. It is very popular with the neighborhood. Bottom line, we each had 2 margaritas, appetizers, and entrees, and our bills with tip were around $105.00 each--totally worth it!
