My office surprised us with Izzy's and let's just say their pizzas are HUGE!!!! One slice was as big as my face! Pizza was actually really good and the slice held up! So that means it was baked to perfection! Would definitely recommend

I love this place. I go every week for lunch! It's the best New York style pizza I've ever had! My friends and I agree it's even better than the pizza we've tried in New York. I don't even usually eat the crusts of pizza, but theirs I do because it's so delicious! Service is also great every time we come. It never disappoints!

After reading the great reviews, and looking for a new pizza place, I decided to try two slices and the garlic knots. The garlic knots are delicious, sitting in a buttery sauce with a lot of garlic. The 2 cheese pizza slices plus two toppings came with a fountain drink for $8.00. Everything is cooked to order and the slices were ready in just a few minutes. The crust is delicious, made fresh everyday. It is thin and crispy. The homemade sauce is awesome. Neither the crust nor the sauce are too sweet. Plenty of toppings of both pepperoni and mushrooms. At 2:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, they weren't crowded and yet they were doing a good bit of take-out. It is a small restaurant, clean and very friendly staff. I will return.

I been to This place several times but always for take out , so this review is limited to my take out experience I will also say that I m not much of a pizza guy but if I m going to have any in the ATL it's Izzy or Antico only. ATMOSPHERE/DECO Never sat down and ate there but it's basic. Nothing special but a semi open kitchen and you can see the pizza oven. Place always seems clean and inviting SERVICE Cannot comment on the service but never had any issues with take out and my orders have always been correct PRICE Prices are quite good. Very good value for your money My last order was Bruschetta Large Greek salad 10 wings Medium cheese pizza And the total was right under $50. This days this is a very good value. FOOD My to go order is usually bruschetta and cheese pizza. The bruschetta is good and pack with tomatoes and cheese. However it does get soggy fast so by time I get home the bread is not longer crispy but the flavors are good. Cheese pizza is what you want in a NY style pizza. Great dough. Very well cook. Perfect fold. One of best NY pizza I had outside of the big apple. This past time I also tried their wings and we a pretty impressive. I got the mild one and they were on point. They were on the extra wet side which I have no complain with as nothing is worse to go home with dry wings. They were more on the softer side which is my favorite, my wife on the other hand like her wings very crispy so she wasn't a fan on those. The menu also has a few Italian dishes like chicken Parm, lasagna, etc. Never tried those but will in the future. MISCELLANEOUS Plenty parking as the location is in a strip mall. Keep in mind they are close on Mondays. La note de Sebo Atmosphere/deco N/A Service N/A Food. 4.5/5 Price. 5/5 Miscellaneous. N/A OVERALL. 4.5/5 but since we can't give half stars, will give them 5

My sister had raved about finding this place near her, so took a trip with her while visiting to try it out. It's a very small, family owned pizza place. It's got an 80s vibe to it, reminiscent of those old school Pizza Huts. It sits in a strip mall and it's very easy to miss it for sure! We did take out and brought it back. One jalapeño and pineapple, and then a BBQ Chicken. Both pizzas were huge! I would rate the pineapple and jalapeño a 2/5 (just didn't feel like the toppings were super fresh), but the BBQ Chicken was really good! Also, loved the crust too. Would certainly recommend them and try them out, as I love pizza places, but not in my Top 5 choices. Still, supporting family owned small business is something I highly recommend!

This is the best one-off NY style pizza place I've ever gotten pizza from. The ambience is good in that the staff is very friendly. It's a better place for picking up a pizza rather than dining in. But do yourself a favor and try them sometime. You won't be disappointed. Get the NY Meat Lovers. Thank me later.

We recently moved from Dekalb Co and I miss my Fellini's, but Izzy's won my heart! For one thing I had never in my life thought to put fresh basil leaves on a pizza before, but they do here, and it may be the most delicious thing I've ever tasted in my whole life! Fresh ingredients and hand made dough as well.. mmmm! The small restaurant had a NY vibe as well the way it was decorated, it reminded me of the first little pizza place I popped into when I visited years ago. The total bill seemed a bit on the expensive side, but everything was fresh.

A buddy of mine was raving an raving about this place, but we weren't able to make it for one reason or another. Today... After a little more than a year of talking about this place my buddy finally took me, and may I say it was one of the best pizzas I've tasted! The sauce and the cheese was perfect the toppings (pepperoni and sausage) only made the pizza even better! The old saying don't judge a book by its cover is key when coming to this place. It physically doesn't look like the best place for a pizza place, but was I wrong! It was AMAZING! And the wings were really good too! It's a must if you want some really good pizza if you're in the area! read more

RUDE OWNER - BAD Customer Service!! I have gotten pizza to go from there about 4 or 5 times. My wife is 5 months pregnant and wanted to get a meatball sub. It was the middle of the week and we decided to met for dinner after work. So I recommended Izzy's since she enjoy the one I picked up for her a week or so prior. Remember we are walking in on a Tuesday or Wednesday around 6:15pm and there are no customers in the restaurant. We sat down at a table watching the son of the owner make pizzas, take calls and refill pizza ingredients for about 10 mins. He saw us and never said 1 word to us. A few mins later the owner/father comes from the back moving things around, walked passed us and never spoke or asked us if we needed to order. At this point I am boiling inside because I have given him my business in the past and you don't say 1 word to me. I told my wife it's time to go and I will never spend our money there again. As I was walking out I told the owner that he had just losted a loyal customer, because you did not acknowledge that we sat there for more than 15mins. He gave me some excuse saying that I should have ordered at the register. He never said I am sorry about that, what can I do to fix the problem, etc. Next time I want a NYC type pizza I will drive down Indian Trail and spend my money The Pizza Man. Thank you for treating a loyal customer like trash on the street!! read more

Was looking for a local NY pizza place and saw this on Yelp. The gentleman that took our order was really nice! I got the lunch special of 1 slice of pizza with 2 toppings, a salad, and a drink for $5 and some change. There are other lunch specials too! The pizza was delicious. Nicely thin, slightly crisp, with fresh ingredients. The little one actually prefers this place over other pizza places we've been too. So glad it's near by, we will definitely come here more often. read more

I decided to give this place another try since it had been awhile since the last time I ate there, hoping last time was a fluke. Well it wasn't. I was born and raised in New Jersey, surrounded by Italians and Italian food. Let me just say that the people who work here are NOT Italian. I don't even think they're from New York. The food is bland and the ingredients are cheap. Don't bother eating here if you like good food. read more

Small, family owned business with some good food. Had the Caesar salad and a slice for lunch and went back the next day as I was training for work nearby. Not sure if the guy who made the food was the owner, but he was down to earth and super friendly. I know some people are pizza connoisseurs and might think this is not "real" NY pizza but it tasted pretty damn good to me! Unfortunately it's out of my way but if I'm ever in the area and in the mood for pizza, definitely tops any of the pizza chains. Sorry Marco's that includes you as well. read more

What a fantastic pizza! I've reviewed many pizza restaurants in the Atlanta area but this is the best NY style pizza of them all - yes better than O4W. Glad I looked up pizza for today! This place has fresh, delicious pizzas. The crust is amazing and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch and chewiness from being baked. The sauce is fresh and flavorful. If you order the veggie pizzas, the veggies are plentiful and tasty with a good ratio of chess to veggies. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Some of the best pizza I have had in quite some time! Family owned with a super friendly staff. This reminds me of a place in Hawaii we used to go to all the time. Not sure if the owner is from new York but the place is done up with pictures from around new York city. Next time I'll have to try the pasta or salads. read more

Wow, totally blew this place off as the old Mellow Mushroom there was horrible. My apologies to the owners, we went here on a referral and I got hooked on their Italian sub - great sandwich. Pizza is solid too, and the wife loves the eggplant Parm. I just tried the steak and cheese and it was fantastic. I d not know what the sauce is that they use but trust me, it is good. It's not your normal philly, but it's a must try. We now have this place in rotation! read more

Wonderful homemade quality. Lots to choose from, too, unless you're vegan. As a vegetarian, there are a good handful of options. Good salads, veg toppings, plain or veggie slices. We didn't get desserts, but will next time. The flan looked yummy! Wish we had found this place sooner! Highly recommend! read more

Walked in for the first time and quickly realized it would be my last. Tried to order a couple of slices and was told by a Spanish lady they are too busy and only doing pies. I've never been or seen a Spanish ran pizza spot in New York which is my home state so I should have known this was a bad idea. She then offered me a personal pan pizza. I'm always reluctant to try "NY" style pizza in GA. Owners tend to tag that line on in hopes of attracting more customers. As a true NYer I must say Izzy's is the truth! Family owned and operated, typical casual atmosphere of a NY pizzeria, and great food! Call ahead if you can during peak hours or bring the kids and hang out! I waited until my 3rd visit to write a review to ensure consistency. This is officially my new pizza joint! Try the Margherita pizza! I got the vegetarian pizza and it was really tasty! The ingredients tasted fresh and the sauce was flavored perfectly. The only thing I would suggest is to change the packaging to boxes that allow customers to vent the pizza on the way home. Otherwise with the current the boxes that do not have holes for venting, steam is created which makes the pizza soggy. read more

I love this place!!!! Great pizza and the garlic knots are fire!!!! I've had the Hawaiian, Supreme, Sliced Sausage, Pepperoni and Gyro Meat pizza. I hate thin crust pizza but, this place is banging!!!! The calamari is ok, there wasn't alot in the to-go container to begin with... but my friend like it. Wouldn't order that particular item again. They also have a selection of jarritos sodas. read more

The best pizza I've had in a long time. Reminds me of the place I used to frequent on 27th Street in Manhattan when I was in college. As far as pizza is concerned, I reserve the 5th star for places like Lombardi's in NYC and Pepi's in New Haven which have wood-fired ovens. Note: if you like sausage on your pizza, don't expect the usual ground pork. Izzy uses thinly sliced Italian sausage that perfectly compliments the pepperoni I usually pair it with. read more

I loveeeeeeeeee love love authentic Italian pizza and also supporting local/family owned businesses. This place is incredible. The garlic knots are BOMB and their pizza is to die for! Waited for a long time for my food. It was cold when I got it, but in this case I was starving so I didn't care very much. Pizza and stromboli were about average, nothing special but not bad at all. Since this place is on my way home from work I'm sure I'll be stopping in again. read more

Ordered a medium cheese pizza the approx cost was $13 which incl. tax My favorite part of the pizza was the crust. It was a combination of Italian bread and NY style crust. Had a nice texture and the chewy factor was on point. The sauce was nice but too tangy. Overall, the pizza was good. I have yet to find a true authentic NY style pizza in GA. Pizza Man is close but way too bland. read more

We stumbled upon this gem while travelling through the area, and we are so happy that we did! We'd be regulars if we were closer! The restaurant is clean, the service quick and friendly, and the price is perfect. We got a large pepperoni, mushroom, and garlic pizza, and the added bonus... when you order garlic, they will put tons on, and that is just right for us! We will definitely visit again when in the area. read more

We have eaten at Izzy's twice. Both experiences were great. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. My wife fell in love with the pizza (and I have too!) and their Cheese Steak sandwich was the best I've had since living in Chicago (during bootcamp at Great Lakes Naval Station). I am from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY and know New York styles of pizza. Izzy's is as good as Lento's in Bay Ridge - in some ways better! That's a great compliment! Izzy's has become our new "go to" even though we live in North Decatur. A wonderful restaurant; great people; good food, Izzy's is highly recommended! My only complaint: I grew up a NY Mets fan and I was surrounded by Yankee's memorabilia - such is life! read more

I have to say that this is the closest I've come to that good old corner shop NY pizza that I've had growing up. Located in an old strip mall this is your typical hole-in-the-wall shop. You can have either pizza by the slice or a whole pie, unless you have a large family to feed a few slices will fill you up. I have to say I haven't had a slice this large since going to "Pie in the Sky" back in the day. The pepperoni slice was outstanding, with the perfect blend of cheese, sauce, and the crust, I'm normally not a crust fan but this place makes me a believer. Ok. When I feel like pizza, I want a good pizza. A friend recommended Izzy's. They are in a small shopping strip just off of Rockbridge Rd. I got a slice of plain cheese pizza and a friend got the calzone. The cheezy factor was good, it was what I wanted. Tons to choose from on the menu but if your like me you already know what you want before you get there. The owners are extremely nice and attentive.
