Came here for the first time for our anniversary and we loved it! I asked for a recommendation for a strong sweet drink and they nailed it, exactly what I wanted. My fiancé ordered a beer and I ended up trying a couple drinks that were seriously fire. We also ordered the wings and fries and both were really good. The vibes were amazing, great music, low/smooth lighting, and true bar vibes without being overwhelming. Super chill and a great spot for a night out. Definitely coming back!

This place is the perfect date night. The majority of the seating is for 2, with thr exception of a large table in the back. They have music playing but alot large tvs for those that want to watch a game. The day we went we had a beer and an app and were in and out within the hour without any delay in service. The girl behind the bar was nice & attentive and besides a kitchen staff appeared to be the only one running the place. They have a fully stocked bar and plenty of beers to pick from, a great place to try if you havent aready.

Had a girls lunch out. This place is soooo cute and full of fun drinks and food! I had the ceviche and the truffle fries and they were both delicious. The waitress was nice and checked on us frequently. The drinks were also very good. I want to go back and try the breakfast. I was here for 2 hours and it went by so fast!

As someone who's very familiar with the social dining scene in and around Sonoma County, I can confidently say this new spot in downtown Santa Rosa is a great addition. I've had the chance to stop in a few times now for a quick drink and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy and exactly what you want from a lounge. It's comfortable, stylish, and easy to settle into. I've visited a few times now (primarily for drinks) and each experience has been memorable. I haven't tried the food yet because I've clearly been very committed to making my way through the drink menu first, but the food is next on my list. I'm looking forward to returning soon to experience it and update my review. Most of the time's I've stopped in it's been kind of quiet; my assumption is word hasn't quite gotten about this place. So far, this lounge is off to a strong start and I'm excited to see it continue to grow. 10/10.

Love this place! Food is always delicious. Friendly service, which keeps me coming back. Love their selection of drinks and options.

Cocoa w marshmallows (and some coffee)

Joined a friend and her granddaughter here for a midday snack after I left the gym and was starving. Ordered a cocoa/coffee (yea a mocha but that's how I ordered it because the cocoa comes with fire toasted marshmallows) and even though it was a couple hours before dinner service (4pm) I asked for the braised short ribs over mashed potatoes. Being that it wasn't 4 yet some of the items were not fully prepared so I opted to have the beef short ribs over fries (same veg ) and do you know what they did? The owner went ahead and had the dish prepared as described with the mashed potatoes. I found this level of customer service to be amazing and unexpected as it clearly states on the menu I'd have to wait til 4. For desert I chose the caramel brûlée cheesecake which came out in the cutest display and was decadent. In addition to the way these guys go out if their way to accommodate you, the food was superb. I'm talking gives you the happy-wiggles-cause-it's-so-good superb. Ambiance is nice, tables and deep booths for privacy. 10/10 I'll be back

One of my favorite places downtown, they opened in September & I have now been over 20 times - I have tried almost everything on the menu and can tell you that everything is so fresh & delicious & really consistent. Highlights are all the salads & the braised short rib with mashed potatoes. Salmon is amazing... short rib grilled cheese is fire. Drinks are amazing with fresh made juices & an ever changing cocktail menu. cannot recommend this place enough for either lunch or a date night! it's fun on the weekends, fun at night, fun at lunch.. what more can you ask for.

I finally came in for the first time with my friend. We each ordered a drink, they were sooo cute & delicious. The steak plate was very flavorful as well. It did not disappoint. The place had a classy ambiance. I'll definitely be back.

Food is good and I love the atmosphere it's the kind of atmosphere that you would want to stay around a long time. Fries are Hella good if you never had them there worth it . And the cocktails and beer are Hella if you are a beer drinker this is for you. Thalia is a sweet person fun to talk too. And Jackie too !!

J&A Lounge is a gem. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is elevated but still welcoming--perfect for date night, girls' night, or even a casual dinner that turns into drinks. The drink menu is outstanding. There's truly something for everyone--from beautifully crafted cocktails to wine and beer options that feel intentional, not generic. Every drink is balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell the bar program was thoughtfully curated. Now let's talk about the food--because it does not play second to the drinks. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well-executed, but the pesto pasta is an absolute must-have. Creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned--it's one of those dishes you think about long after you leave. Great food, amazing drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned. J&A Lounge has officially become a go-to spot. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a nice place to have appetizers and cocktails. Came across J&A lounge on social media. The appetizers were delicious and the cocktails were also great! They are also had a dinner menu that looked enticing will definitely be returning for dinner soon! This place has great ambiance very elegant , family friendly! the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Great place for birthday dinners, work gatherings or a date night .

To start the service is amazing, apart from the large selection of bubbles they also have mainly mid to top shelf liquors, which no one can complain about.. This place creates a great environment for a time to relax, have a drink and socialize to your max capacity! From fight nights, football nights and even basketball nights this place is where you want to be if you want a cold brew, cocktail or spritz.

I just…read morerealized that they're part of the Stark Reality restaurant group, which has a big presence in Sonoma County. We had also tried Grossman's Noshery & Bar from the same restaurant group and were happy with the food there. I also heard good things about their other restaurants, so it should not have been a surprise that we were also impressed with the food here. Food is served tapas style and honestly, all the dishes sound appetizing. On this visit, we tried a few dishes. I wish I came with a more empty stomach to try more things. We ordered their crispy maitake mushrooms, steamed local black cod, and grilled house-made lamb sausage. Everything was delicious! The crispy maitake mushrooms came with a fish sauce which gave a nice brightening note to eat with fried food. Lemon was also fried with them to help cut any grease, so overall this dish did not feel oily or heavy. The steamed local black cod's ginger scallion oil surprisingly paired very well with the black truffle pesto. It had an earthy flavor profile that was brightened by the ginger. The cod was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms soaked up all of that saucy goodness. I loved this dish! The grilled house-made lamb sausage was Thai inspired and you could definitely taste the spices in the sausage. I actually would've liked more of the tamarind BBQ sauce and basil salad on this dish to help counter the lamb's spiciness a bit, but I enjoyed the dish. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The restaurant is housed in what looks like a historic house, so it was a very cozy environment. They have a patio where you could eat while enjoying nice weather. I would definitely come again if I'm in the area!

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. I've had their ahi Niçoise salad and it is excellent. The potatoes and ahi were a surprisingly good combo for me. Oysters are a refreshing appetizer but I recommend the frog legs (tastes almost like a very lightly fried thinner chicken wing). I often paired it with a side of mushrooms. My family has gotten a variety of their menu. Onion soup is good and ahi tartare is great to share and munch. Warmed baguette bread and butter are always available. They have such good appetizers I think they even beat out the entrees. But I can say their steak and poulet/chicken frites are not bad too. I'm very glad they can do substitutions for the frites with roasted vegetables and got my poulet with green beans instead which still were a good pairing for the meat.
