My backyard patio was already landscaped, but it had a small koi fish pond that I was trying to get rid of. I didn't want the fish, it was creating mold/attracting mosquitos to the water, and the pumps took up a lot of space. So I wanted to remove it completely while still maintaining the overall landscaping to look continuous without the pond. Additionally, I wanted my fence to be reinforced and repainted. What sounds and looks like a relatively simple task was actually quite hard. They had to demo the concrete while saving the pieces so they could re-use it later. The floor tiles had to be matched as close as possible. Ultimately, his team worked really hard over 3 days and did a great job. It would never be perfect, but they did a great job maintaining the look so that it wouldn't be noticeable unless you were paying attention. Good experience!

Then he said he would let me know when he could start the job within a week. Well I have emailed him four times and texted him twice for 6 weeks and he does not respond to me. I have told him if he does not have time for my job could he please let me know. He has not even given me the courtesy of a response which I am very upset by considering the scale of the job I gave him six years ago and the excellent recommendation which many, many people have read and took into consideration when hiring him for the job. I have told neighbors about his company and referred him so many times over the years. I just don't understand why he has ignored my messages. it's very upsetting and I will not be recommending him further. Very honest, fair, and performs high quality work (especially for hardscaping and structural items like decks, retaining walls, pavers, drainage, etc). Note: I had a LOT of "so sorry, actually can we do this instead?" (Which would then continually change over the next 3-4 days as I thought through the design.) Jose was very patient and accommodating but also gently pushed back if certain things were not a good idea or in my best interest. He also completed both the initial demo and the final planting, irrigation + gravel stages while we were out of town. Granted, it would've been easier if I were there in person to fine-tune the details and place things just right, but it was amazing to come back to the finished design. Shannon also created a rock sculpture which we didn't request or pay for, but which has given my wife endless delight to see how those rocks are balanced on each other.
