Noe had decent reviews and was great with communication and that was why we had hired him. The bottom line is that his words didn't match with his work. He would give us timeframes and never once did he keep his words. We had to follow up with him constantly because of no-shows and unfinished work. It's always talk and excuses. Now, we are stuck with hiring another company that can REDO Noe's decomposed granite work. We hired Noe for two jobs; decomposed granite and pavers (April 2021) and both were NOT done well. The photos show his poor work. The decomposed granite wasn't done right so it was not set at all; it's very loose as you walk on it. Now with the rain, it's soggy with weeds growing. The pavers took forever and are still not done well as you can see in the photos. The edge pavers were loose and not even so in the end, glue was used to hold it together. We didn't mind so much about him not following the given time frame that he provided, but the quality was work wasn't there. It was all talk and we were so tired of following up with him that we just decided to hire someone else to REDO the work. read more

I haven't had the time to do any lawn maintenance this year outside of mowing and if you live in this area you know that means that the weeds will get ridiculously out of control. In all the mulch areas the crabgrass and other weeds quickly grew to 4-5 feet tall. After contemplating doing it myself for a couple of weekends, I ended up contacting Noma Land Designs to take care of it and it's the best decision I've made in 2022 so far. The guys showed up on time around 9AM and were done by noon. All the weeds that turned the side and back yard into a jungle -- the likes that post-apocalyptic movies never get right -- are now gone. They also removed a berry bush in the front next to my driveway that has been a constant thorn in my side because the thorny vines would grow so quickly and takeover the sidewalk to the back and the driveway. In addition to that they removed a couple of rose bushes in the backyard that grew back and had been removed previously by someone else. All-in-all, the work done by the guys with Noma Land Designs was flawless in my book. I plan on using them again for any major clean up and new landscaping work. It is really difficult to get started on a project when estimates are not provided in a timely manner. Unfortunately, Noma land designs were scheduled to stop by for an estimate and never showed up. After I reached out 45 min after the time window had expired, I was informed he was having car troubles and he would let me know when he could reschedule. Since I didn't received an answer. I reached out a day or so later and was told he could no longer provide an estimate. While car troubles happens to everyone, I think it is important to mindful of other people time. Noe managed to clean up my large backyard that hadn't received any love in about 10+ years. Trees that had been 10 feet high were now triple that and there were leaves and overgrown plants everywhere. I couldn't believe his team was able to cut the trees, get rid of one that had become unmanageable, and clean up the backyard so I could actually see what it once was all in a day when others had said it would take 2. His rate was extremely reasonable too and was below all of the other quotes I was given. I'm very satisfied and will probably use them again for more regular maintenance! read more

I had a good feeling about Noe from the first time he came to look at our backyard and give us a quote for the work we wanted done. My wife and I are pretty inexperienced homeowners, but we knew what we wanted for our backyard space and were able to provide Noe with a rough illustration of our idea. He immediately seemed to understand what we wanted, had some good suggestions of his own, and was able to provide a reasonable quote that was within our fairly limited budget. The work took a little longer than expected, but Noe was a great communicator and always let me know if he and his team weren't able to make it out when they had planned to. My wife and I both work from home currently, and Noe's team was very non-invasive while doing the work. Noe would occasionally text me to ask me to come out back when I was able to look at the work they had just finished, or to make sure we were on the same page before he started the next thing. I really appreciated this: it gave me a lot of confidence that he knew what he was doing and that I wasn't going to be (unpleasantly) surprised by the end result. It was so exciting to see the finished product turn out just how we had pictured it, if not even a little better. We hired Noe and his team for a backyard refresh including: new mulch and gravel pathway, some driveway repair, tree planting, and minor construction work. Noe has good attention to detail and was responsive to our feedback and specifically what we wanted. Very knowledgeable about different types of materials, relative costs of things, etc. He was also the lowest bid for our project, COVID conscious, and overall a very friendly guy. Project took a bit longer than expected, but Noe was a good communicator about it and I frankly chalk this up more to COVID constraints -- so leaving a 5-Star rating. My wife and I hired Noe to do a first pass at fixing up our lawn - Noe came very quickly to size it up, explain what he could do for our budget and timeline, and he was great. Super creative and endless ideas. He promised us a quote right away but it took a couple weeks and a few follow up messages from us to. The quote was very fair if not super timely. Getting the work done took a while, however. To be fair to Noe, he apologized for things taking longer than expected. However, we needed to continually contact him, and sometimes he or his crew wouldn't show when they said they would, which was frustrating to us. Finally, the work was done, and it looked great, but a patch of sod had dried out immediately while the rest of the lawn was fine. We asked Noe what we should do - he said he would bring us some more sod the next day - then he called to say it would be a week later to make sure the sod was the same kind he had initially laid down. And then nothing. He never came to put the sod in, and he didn't tell us what kind of sod it was so that we could do it ourselves. We have reached out to him several times since then and he's responded a couple of times saying he'd come by, then nothing. So my experience of Noe is mixed - he does good work and charges a fair price, but he's often hard to track down, and in this case he left us hanging. Looks like some other folks on here had a better overall experience than we did. read more

I had a pretty big project clearing years of blackberry bushes from my backyard. The bushes were everywhere, three feet high, and clearing them out required going up a flight and a half of narrow stairs. I also needed a tree trimmed.
