Place is a bit overwhelmed and disorganized. A one man show and he tries but does not always meet the need.

TLDR: Daniel is great - this is where you should go for tailoring and dry cleaning. Daniel is an incredible tailor and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Most recently, he completely transformed my wedding dress into a gorgeous dress that fits me perfectly. The dress I brought him was a two-layer dress that was extremely long, baggy on the top, and uncomfortably tight around my hips. Essentially, it didn't fit me at all. Daniel took the time to do the alterations very slowly so that at each step he made sure things fit better and better - the bodice, the sleeves (length and tightness on my arms), and finally the hemline. It is like a custom dress now and I am so happy with it. And he did this all for a ridiculously affordable price. He is seriously the best. Before my wedding dress, Daniel was already my go-to for dry cleaning (good prices, prompt) and also for doing alterations on vintage clothing, including an oversized wool overcoat that he made perfect for me, a ridiculous 80s blazer that he reduced the shoulder pads on, and a top made of a gauzy fabric that he miraculously fixed an enormous hole in. When I brought him one vintage item, he was also honest with me that the stain would not come out, so he recommended I not spend money trying to fix it up. He also repaired the terrible zipper on my partner's winter coat. So: In conclusion, I never write reviews, but Daniel is great and this is the place to go for your dry cleaning and tailoring. read more

This is my first bad review ever. I was super disappointed with my experience at this cleaner, especially after reading all the positive reviews. At first I wondered if I went to the wrong place. I took a pair of pants to be hemmed and a dress to be cleaned. Upon showing up, the front door is cracked and the place looks run down and chaotic (clothing strewn everywhere), I still decided to pay it no mind. Upon picking up my clothes the following week, I brought my dress home and after taking off the plastic, found it ripped along the top seam about to fall off the hanger. I called the owner immediately and he said to just bring it back. No apology, no understanding or acknowledgement that I wouldn't have my dress in time or that they had even damaged it! I took it back, hoping for an in person apology but nothing was said except "our steamer not do that". Well great, obviously something happened to it, maybe please just apologize? He told me they would repair it and to pick it up Monday. I came back Monday and the place had a "Sorry we decided to close Saturday/Monday" sign. Got my dress the next day (my third time back), no apology. Will not be wasting my time here ever again. read more

Daniel is easily the best tailor I've used in Philadelphia. Everything here is very reasonably priced. Other custom tailor's charge way too much and aren't as friendly. There are few custom alterations that he won't do. If you need something in a hurry, he's also usually very accommodating. I bring all of my clothes come here to get altered. read more

Daniel is FANTASTIC - he's my new go-to for all tailoring and alterations. I brought him a delicate dress that needed to be taken in and a multilayered high waisted skirt that needed to be hemmed and from the time I walked in the door Daniel made me feel so comfortable as he quickly measured and pinned the garments while explaining what he was going to do to correct them. He went out of his way to make sure they'd be ready in just a few days since I was about to leave the country for a wedding - in fact they were actually done sooner than when he said they'd be! Decided to give this place a chance due to the good reviews. Unfortunately, this place doesn't pass my three-strikes rule. 1) my order was not ready on the agreed upon day and the owner didn't call to let me know, so I wasted my time going to pick up an unprepared order. 2) one shirt was very poorly pressed and I had to redo it at home. 3) a pair of pants I paid to have hemmed wasn't included in my order when I picked it up. I called a week later and left my number and never received a call back. 4) two weeks later the owner still hasn't called back regarding the pants. When I call he tells me that he did include them when I picked up the order. I've gone through my closet meticulously and they are not there. Since his computer was "down" during the initial order he has no way of confirming this. Not going back. read more
