Emad here at J&E Complete Auto is a fantastic mechanic who has his customer's best interest in mind. I had him replace the alternator in my Jeep Patriot 2015 about 6-8 months ago and thought I was experiencing problems with it. He took it in again stating he would back his workmanship and replace the alternator if it was faulty. He found out my problem was actually throttle body related and graciously cleaned it outside for me and is sending me home a happy customer. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him throughout my 3 years living in the Glendale area and HIGHLY RECOMMEND him as a long-term mechanic for any issues big or small. As a post-script I was always told growing up that having your workspace neat and tidy is not always a sign of quality work ethic and workmanship, it's the contractor who is so busy taking care of his clients to the best of their ability that may have more going on in their workspace. I frequently find J&E's lot out front full of clients' cars and I take that as a great sign that I've chosen a mechanic who many people rely on happily. Where do I begin? I'm a mid 20s female who isn't the most knowledgeable when it comes to cars. So when it comes to finding a mechanic I can trust, it never came easy for me. I've lived in Washington state and now currently California and had my Scion tC for 10 years now -- not once did I find someone who I could fully trust until I met Eman at J&E. I'm not saying that every mechanic I've visited were all liars and scammers. It's just that for the first time, I found a place where I can be comfortable enough going to without any skepticism or worry. Whether it's being overcharged, ripped off, manipulated, etc etc. It's like calling a friend when you're having problems and knowing they have your back. My first visit with Eman was when my head gasket blew and needed to be replaced. I called all the top recommended places for quotes and such, but my guts went with Eman after speaking to him on the phone and meeting him. His shop seems to be backed up and busy all the time, yet he always manages to find time for me and helps to work around my schedule. Unfortunately, my car has been having a lot of issues come up since it's getting pretty worn out so I've gone back to J&E multiple times now for various problems and Eman works his magic with his generosity and professionalism every time. I don't ever get a vibe from him that he's doing this strictly for money or commission. He simply tells it like it is. It also helps immensely how affordable he is if you're on a budget like I am. Just recently, my battery light came on and I got really upset because I was about to get screwed for the weekend if I couldn't do anything about the battery alternator that needed to be replaced. It was a Friday at 4pm during Memorial weekend so everything was going to be closed until Tuesday. Eman wasn't sure he could get my car back to me in the so little time he had left to make it happen, but I take my car in and he calls to get the battery alternator dropped off and got his team to get the job done like there was no tomorrow. I think I went into enough detail for the time being. I honestly was avoiding writing a review at first because I didn't want to jinx this in any way, but at this point I can't help but to share my experience. Love bringing my car here. They are so honest, helpful and good at what they do. I had gotten an oil change at one of those drive-thru places. They told me they found an oil leak and that one of my runner lights was out but they didn't have a bulb to fix it. I took my car into Emad the next day to have him take a look at the leak. Luckily the leak was an easy fix and he said they could fix it for free, no problem, but I'd need to pay for oil because they'd probably lose most of it in the process of fixing the leak. Bummer, since I'd just had the oil changed, but I was so glad the leak was an easy fix. I had mentioned that I was going on a road trip soon, so when he called to tell me about the leak, he warned me that I needed new tires, but did not pressure me at all to get them then and there. I opted to go ahead and replace the tires ( you only have to blow out a tire once on the road to know it's not good to ignore it when you need new tires!) Emad and his team fixed the leak, changed the bulb for me for free AND were even able to salvage the oil when they did the repair, so I didn't have to pay for oil either - just four shiny new tires, which I was happy to have done by a local small business run by people I trust. My tire pressure warning light went on the day after I picked up the car, so I asked Emad if I could swing by after work and have someone take a look at the tire pressure. He said, "sure!" -- I only realized when I got there that he was closing up and had stayed after hours to check the pressure for me, which was so above and beyond. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a mechanic who knows his stuff and is just a good human. If I could give 10 stars, I would. read more

Went for a check engine light. Diagnostics revealed a faulty catalytic converter that was $3,000. Owner told me about a CA state law that PZEV cars have a 150,000 mile warranty for emissions. Called the Subaru dealership in Glendale and confirmed car was covered. No charge by J&E for the scan and even took my follow up phone call regarding Smog check. I found this place because my Mazda dealership tried to sell me $1,000 in repairs I didn't need. At Star Mazda, I was told that I needed to replace my brake fluid, brake pads, my air filter, and fuel injection (or something similar for the fuel injection, I can't quite remember what exactly). It was going to cost me nearly $1,000 according to the quote provided to me by the Mazda service department (and this is aside from the service plan fee I pay every month). I just opened a business of my own and I'm working tirelessly to make it work especially in times of COVID. So I called around to see if I could get those things done for a cheaper price and ended up with J&E Complete Auto Service - It turns out that I could...and not only could I get it done cheaper, but the only thing that my car actually needed was new rear brake pads. Emad from J&E physically showed me my brake fluid was as clear as the fluid that was still in the bottle (yes, he actually pulled out some fluid from my car and compared it to fluid straight from a brand new bottle and they looked identical). Similarly, they physically showed me that my car needed only my rear brake pads replaced. In the end, I paid less than $200 for parts and labor and I left with my car fully serviced. If I hadn't checked other shops around the area, I would be out of a lot of money that I greatly need, as I'm sure anyone can understand during these times. It's hard to know who to trust when getting your car repaired but the guys at J&E proved it when I didn't have to take their word for it because they showed me. And for that, the price was low and made sense. No guess work. 100% recommend. read more

When I moved to Glendale, my new neighbor wrote a list of recommended local businesses which included J&E Auto Service. So it was time to change the oil for my car, I gave them a call. No appointment was necessary, I drove in the morning and they were able to service my car promptly. They identified a couple of filters which they suggested replacing, but not as a hard sale at all. The final price was very reasonable, and I came out with the feeling of trusting them, so I will definitely come back next time my car needs to be serviced. read more

Took my car here, spent $900 on lower control arms and new brakes. Right before I picked my car up, Emad started telling me my motor mounts were bad and that I was going to need to have them replaced soon, but that it "wasn't expensive". He hadn't told me this the 2 times I had talked to him prior. Got in my car, and it was making crazy clunking/rattling noises I had never heard before. I was a little suspicious that these noises happened to start after getting my car back from Emad. Thinking I was going to have to spend another $500 on motor mounts, I took it to my normal mechanic who told me my engine mount was just loose. Spent $50. Emad the owner was so kind. I went in without calling because one of my break lights were out. And he had one of the guys change it, and the man who changed it was so nice and he did it really quick! This place is great! They worked on my Ford E150. They performed an overall diagnostic check, sloppy steering repair, tires, oil, engine light diagnosis, etc. I was pleased with the reasonable prices, their turn around time, and their end work product. When I initially dropped the van off, I thought, based on how many cars were in the yard that it would be stuck there for years! But nope, they turned it around in a couple of days. There are so many cars there because the owner Emad and his staff do a great job, an honest job, and at reasonable prices. The craziest thing was they even shined my new tires! I go to J&E for all my car needs even though I live on the other side of LA. Emad has been very nice and helpful each time. He is honest and upfront about pricing and time frame for various car services whether fixing something or routine maintenance I've done here. The pricing is fair and the quality of work is great. For routine maintenance, you tell him miles on your car, type of car, and he actually generates a checklist of items to check on your car and he also takes photos of relevant checked parts as he does through. The checklist is digitally available on a link he texts you and you can download a pdf for records. I find this very helpful. Emad also checks in every time a few days to a week after he works on the car to make sure everything is going ok. read more

Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I was told to come in the morning (from downtown to Glendale) and when I got there, they asked if I could come back at 3:30. I dropped my truck off for a tire change Monday morning and they gave me a ride to work while they changed the brakes, even if it was in my own car.
