This company brought a processing truck that appears to have violated the law as it processed the leaves and balls in residential areas. First and foremost, it created so much dust that you could not see through the dust cloud to the other side. But also, the workers did not bother to check to see if neighbors' windows were open before starting, and mine were. This truck was sitting about 10 feet from my open windows, producing an amount of air pollution that was in no way legally acceptable for a residential neighborhood, and a huge dust cloud from the organic matter that they were processing blew into my house, all over my belongings, on my cats, and my cats started sneezing and running around frantically. I literally had to do two days of emergency cleaning after they left (including hiring house cleaners). And that was just the inside of the house. Thank goodness I was home to get the cats to safety. It was so stressful. When I went outside to tell them to control their dust, the workers offered to clean my car for me, as if that would make it all better, which was just bizarre, and the least of my concerns in that moment. I had dust in my hair, in my mouth, all over my clothes, and in my ears and eyes, plus it was also all over the house and all over my belongings around the house. Further, the I'm certain that the noise exceeded the legal residential noise limit. Also, the workers trespassed all over my property , including my front porch, and left piles of leaves all over my plants, which would have likely killed them if not removed. I have pictures and video to prove all of this. I thought of calling the company and demanding that they come back to make everything right, but I really don't want a company that is this oblivious and careless anywhere near my house ever again, plus what they did was too problematic to imagine that they could realistically make amends. It was truly horrific. If this review is removed for any reason I will follow up with a BBB complaint and a formal complaint with the county. On a side note, what this company is doing at large is extremely environmentally damaging to Monarchs and other endangered species. If you don't know about leaf removal, google it.

Mulch used by the company was infested with a nasty fungi that took a lot of time this spring to get rid of. There really was no followup to speak of. The rep said he would share with the crew supervisor that the mulch had a fungus attached to it. Lisa, their administrative person, was very professional and on top of things. I have nothing but good things to say about her. But we are now $3,000 in debt for a poorly executed landscaping job. It makes me never want to hire another landscaping company. I am a gardener and could have done a better job myself and saved a lot of money.

Robert is very nice and communication prior to the job was good, although it took a bit longer than I expected to schedule the work. Things rapidly went downhill once the job started. What should have been a 1 1/2 day job took 6 days. The patio work was performed by a sub-contractor and was a complete disaster. The crew spent half of their time talking on the phone instead of working. They started late in the day almost every day and worked until dark , so they couldn't see what they were doing and had to come back the next day again and again. They made huge mess and did not clean up properly at the end of the job. I had to pick up all the small rocks and sticks that were left behind in our yard and our neighbor's yard. We are not happy with the patio - some of the slate slabs aren't level so our furniture doesn't sit correctly. We do like the plants that were installed and most seem to be doing fine after about 6 weeks - although several have mushrooms growing on the base. They have a one year warranty on the plants, so the one plant that died will be replaced in the fall. However, they didn't completely remove the roots of the old plants and they keep growing back. Every week or so I have to dig more of those roots and plants up. Overall I would say that this company has potential but they have a lot of issues to work out. If you stick to landscaping and don't hire them to do hard scapes, you might have a better experience than we did.

I wanted some bushes removed, to get on routine lawn maintenance schedule and eventually redo my backyard area. He said the maintenance is based on an annual contract so it would be 5K for the year, basically locked in. I was like ok well send me the estimate/contract so I can review and make a decision. He told me he would send in a few days. I thought everything was fine, but randomly on the next Sunday two guys show up to my home unannounced saying they work for Richard. I told them I never received a contract and they said they just wanted to look around my home. I was a little sketched out so I tried calling the company's phone number to verify they worked for Richard, but obviously it being Sunday morning nobody answered. When Richard did return my call the next day, he said he didn't ask them to come that day but did tell them to go to my home. I re-emphasized that I didn't appreciate people showing up unannounced to my new home as I'm still settling into the area. Then he got defensive saying I should get a security system if I don't feel safe, that the area is safe. The house came with one already so again mentioning a security system felt like it was just a way to deflect instead of just apologizing for the mix-up. He said he would still send the estimate on Tuesday.... uhh what?! He never did and I was already not going to move forward after what I felt came off as rude and unprofessional behavior with the way he handled the situation. I don't recommend this company and am happy I got to see this behavior early on before locking into a contract. Poor value and red flags!
