Bought my mower here awhile ago for 5gs on finance with a 5 year warranty. I paid it off in 3 years and they told me my warranty would not continue unless i continued to pay them extra for it as I paid it off. First off, how does that work? My warranty should continue regardless! Granted I'm a mechanic so I can fix it myself, but wtf?! Secondly I went to go get a fuel filter(after my warranty expired obviously, and not that I even needed it, I'm just doing good pmcs. I still have only 60hrs on the thing after 7 years. Yes this is a review long time coming), and they wanted my name, phone number and address! For a fuel filter? It wasn't even kohler brand! I told them to shove it, and went across the street to tractor supply and got a REAL kohler brand fuel filter. Screw this place! I love my mower! But except nothing from this company! If you buy something from here, buy it and get out! They have nothing worth while to offer. Unless your willing to shell out your money. read more

When my husband died, J&I were there for me. Not only fixed my tractor, but taught me how to use it. Over a month ago I broke my pelvis in 5 places. Most places either make me feel like my property is too small and guide me to homeowner stuff that breaks or they guide me to stuff I can't afford. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is I liked our salesperson. There my like ends. We got a tractor the last day in March and from the beginning you could tell the attachments were sub par. We ended up with a mower deck that wasnt what we ordered and were told how much better the one we were getting was. I honestly think it had issues and they wanted to get rid of it. 1st the driver over ramp broke because ironically we drove the tractor over it. We have never been able to mow are yard with it because I drove over an aluminum handle that wasnt attached to anything and half the wheel weld broke. Then my husband was moving it and grabbed it and the rest of the weld broke. It is may we still have no mower. All I hear is excuses and blaming from service. I asked that someone call me before I left a bad review that I could talk to still waiting on that call back. Never happened. Then the tractor had to go back in because the oil filter was on so tight we couldn't get it off (it's suppose to be hand tight) so we bought tool to remove and the filter broke leaving the top attached. Enter more blaming,finger pointing and basically calling me a liar. Oh on top of being told well you bought it in March like I have owned it so long by april I am like I just literally made 1st payment. We haven't even had it a month. Thier service dept could use some customer service training for sure. I regret my purchase 1000 times over not blaming kubota this a is a solid J and I issue. read more

I recently purchased a L2501 with bucket loader and rotary cutter initially and then came back to purchase a Z231KW. For a tractor newbie my experience with J&I Yelm was amazing. The sales staff (specifically Patricia) was super knowledgeable and was not "pushy" at all about me making decisions. Even my kids love going there with me. The staff and manager were even nice enough to hookup my 1 year old tractor OBSESSED son with some old posters and hats for the older two kids, which was super awesome for the whole family. Even with all the supplier issues and equipment shortages the staff was excellent and handled everything much better than I expected by keeping me regularly updated with the status of my equipment and its delivery to my home. I could not imagine a better experience than the one I had at this dealership. They will definitely get all my equipment needs business moving forward. read more

Bought a Cub Cadet XT2 42" cut 22 HP Kohler engine, Mike was fantastic. I have bought all my lawn care equipment from them and am looking forward to the day I get a tractor. Recomend highly, although you must be patient while I was there it was nonstop action with people calling and coming in. Says something about the business and their customer care, people keep coming. I'm pissed. After a third purchase in 7 months one would think youd be treated correctly. When trading in my first tractor towards my second more expensive one j and I got the ten day payoff quote from Kubota credit. A month and a half later I just found out they didn't pay it off on time or the correct amount so I have a outstanding balance that evidently is my responsibility because of someone's ignorance or stupidity. Absolute bullshit of a dealer to leave a customer who has worked for years to clean there credit up to disregard them as trash when they call to notify the dealer of there mistake and be told it's not there problem. One day I walked in me asked for the manager (who I've used for at least 5 years) Josh and he was no longer there a lady up front rudely said to me. Wish I could give it no stars! AVOID THESE SCAMMERS AT ALL COST. My bearcat trimmer wasn't running right and j&i said it needed a carb rebuild. I picked it up next day and they told me it was ready to go and charged me for a carb rebuild. I went home and it ran for about 5-10 minutes before doing the exact same thing! I called my friend who's been a automotive mechanic for 33 years. While inspecting the carb we seen the bolts had never had a wrench on them, opened the carb and there was a bunch of gunk still in the float bowl... we cleaned the carb and fixed it and she runs perfect. J&I is a terrible company and would no recommend any one else getting scammed by them read more

I bought my Stihl brushcutter in today because it wasn't running properly, and the folks at J&I in Yelm were able to fix the problem quickly. It was something stupid I had done that affected how the brushcutter operated, but the person I worked with treated me with respect instead of treating me like the idiot I was. I really appreciated that after dealing with people at other places who treat you like a moron if you weren't born and raised working with this stuff. read more
