    EXCELLENT service - very happy with these guys. I took my John Deere E180 54" mower in to have a…read morefouled carburetor repaired. Also had a few other small services done on it. Madison in the Service Department was super friendly and helpful, and the quote and repair came back much quicker than I expected. They also waived the delivery fee due to Covid-19 (limiting how many people come to the store) which was nice. Delivery was right on time, with a friendly and helpful delivery guy.     I bought a brand new John Deere in 2022, received it end of December 2022. I spent $8000.00 on it…read morewith extras. The first time I used it in March 2023, it blew oil all over the deck and motor. Pape Sumner picked it up. I called to find out the problem, crickets. When it was returned there was no repair paperwork. I called and pried the mysterious repair information out of one of the employees, who wasn't helpful and no apologies. It was under warranty. After the 3rd time I ran the machine, the bagger motor belt broke, 2023. I took the motor off and threw up my hands, they installed it! In 2024 I had to tighten the oil filter it was leaking. It held till March 2026 and leaked again, so I tightened it. A few months ago I was so fearful something else would go wrong with this lemon I bought the Turf guard extra warranty. Now June 13 2026 the bolt that brings the deck up and down fell out or was never in, not sure. It was rubbing against the belt (Unknown to me) shredded it, the cord in the belt wrapped around the pulleys. I looked on the internet and most cases it's a manufacture defect or the assembly error. It should not have popped out! I called Pape today Tuesday, it was difficult to do as their store possess an atmosphere of the black cloud of doom. I am the one who said "thank you" twice, he was the one who said nothing pleasant! They need to implement customer service training classes. I will send another review after this new issue is resolved. Did I mention my riding mower X330 has ONLY 45 hours on it! Pape gets a one star because my machine is actually being picked up in 5 days instead of 2 weeks.

    Made a 'call appt' to start the process. And they never called. Must be to busy for my projects…read more Got multiple emails confirming date and time from them. But no call. I know stuff happens. But they could've used their auto email system to cancel. In any event, I never use a contactor (for any project) that doesn't keep their first appt or notifies before just not calling or showing up. That always spells trouble. There are too many landscapers who want business. So I'll never call them or visit their nursery ever again. I believe it was Woody Allen who once said, "Just showing up is 90 percent of life." Todd's fails.

My wife and I visited this location back in February/March to purchase spring/summer flowers and get a quote for a large landscaping project, along with some recommendations. We spoke with a staff member about flowers suited for full sunlight. One of the recommended flowers is still thriving in October, but the other didn't survive more than a month despite following the care instructions. for the landscaping quote, that's where the problems began. We were told by the same staff member to speak with someone else, who wrote down an "appointment" on a sticky note and supposedly entered it into the system. The appointment was scheduled for the end of May. My wife and I took the day off work for the quote, but no one showed up--nor did anyone call. A few days later, my wife called to ask what happened. A different staff member said the person responsible would call back that day or the next--but again, zero contact. Fast forward to October, and we've never heard a word from Todd's Nursery. We've since handled our landscaping project ourselves, likely at a lower cost, and honestly, after witnessing their incompetence, we're glad we did. If this is how they handle quotes, we can only imagine how poor the actual service and timing would have been. Bottom line: complete lack of customer service, consideration, and professionalism. Don't waste your time requesting quotes from Todd's Nursery--look elsewhere for companies that value their customers and actually want to do business.
