Sausage, Egg, & Cheese on Sesame Bagel with side of hashbrowns and hibiskus tea

We were craving bagel sandwiches and decided to stop for a late morning, early afternoon brunch. Looks like most patrons go for take out and we decided to eat in. Restaurant was a little smokey inside from the grill so they keep their front door open but it was freezing! Their bagel sandwiches are delicious! Hashbrowns would be better if they were made with some peppers and onions for flavor. The char from the grill tasted decent though.

Staying in Grasonville and waking early and making an omelet for the client , I felt the urge to drive to Georgetown for a bagel at JJ's. Yes I could have eaten the omelette this morning but I just want a NY style bagel. There is no where in Queen Ann's County for me to get a bagel like JJ's. This is the only bagel place on the entire Eastern shore that tastes like a NY bagel. I don't have a need to toast the bagel , that's what you do to bring a stale bagel back to life .Buy 6 bagels and get one free TOTAL $5.75 making each bagel $.82, big bag of bagel chips $1.00 , yes , they take the stale bagels and make them into a crispy snack , the best part is the bagel chips are made from all different bagels . Just make your favorite dip and serve with these chips ! The bagels are made from scratch everyday and they sell out. They open at 5:00 a.m . its worth the drive from anywhere!

Nice pit stop to pick up a morning breakfast bagel sandwich with Latin twist. I had an alright chicken salad BLT to go. Good but I'd go with a full breakfast if this was my local. Service was friendly and efficient.

Nothing beats a great local bagel shop in Slower Lower! The sandwiches are amazing and the staff always greets you with a smile. Definitely worth making a stop for J&J if you're in the area!

Good LARGE breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Couldn't finish---saved the rest for lunch. Coffee was OK. Good value.

We always stop on our way to OCMD. Bagels are delicious! The service is friendly and efficient. I just wish they had a public restroom.

Plenty of windows,…read morehigh ceiling and large well made bagels give you a choice of how you want your morning to begin. I was driving from Bucks County to Newport News to visit family over the New Year's holiday and Surf was my first stop about a third of the way to my destination. I wanted to buy a half dozen for the family to enjoy for the next few days. I hadn't counted on the Christmas break causing this shop to be full on a Tuesday morning and low on bagel inventory. But, it was, so my options were limited. My first choices (onion and sesame) were gone, so it fell to secondary availability to meet the need. A few garlic, poppy and plain rounders would have to do. Still, these were quite good; well textured semi-hard skin with softer chewy bread within. Taste was forceful (particularly the garlic) and with toasting, cream cheese or butter and slice of Gruyère, enjoyable. Strong brewed coffee complemented it as hoped. Service was friendly and helpful and appropriately apologetic for lacking my desired flavors. Not their fault that they were so busy on a holiday week. Good for them. Surf is definitely a bagel stop to make on a quieter day when they wouldn't be nearly sold out before noon! 4 Fat Bagel Stars

The concept of the restaurant is good. At times, it tasted a bit salty but it could have been the Taylor Ham added to it. Although I have no pictures, you must try their $1 hash brown. It is crispy, brown, and good taste. It reminded me of the golden days when McDonald's had their $1 hash brown and not the $4 hash brown that is barely cooked. This hash brown is a must have and I would recommend get more than one. Their coffee is also really good. From their wide selection, I got their blueberry and coconut coffee. These coffee tasted so delicious. You could taste the fruits as if they have put real blueberries and coconut in the coffee minutes prior to it being roasted. I brought some coffee bean bags to take home. As for the location, it is nice and packed if you show up after 12 like I did. There was no table available as they were used but got a booth. They had SurferTv on. It seemed interesting but I did not understand the channel, must be a northern thing. Overall, it is worth a try or two for their hash brown, coffee, and the experience of beach vibes breakfast with their old bay bagel and beach aesthetic.

If you are someone like me who has an anziaty problem take your meds before going to this excellent place. There is so much to choose from, so many good things to eat from sandwiches, wraps, cooking, muffins, cakes and so much more, the coffee is excellent and they also have a good tea selection for tea drinkers. The staff is all friendly and helpful very pleasant to talk to. The atmosphere is real cool from sitting outside to sitting inside in a few different rooms all nicely done, very comfortable atmosphere. This place is not a very big place so it may seem crowded but it is not, the staff keep everything moving nicely and the place is clean. During the summer months it is busier I was told but I was also told that it can be busy all year long. Love the food, love the coffee, love the staff, love the vibe If you are someone that has a hard time making choices your are in for a fun treat because there is just enough to make you try something and maybe also take something home and then you will be hooked and you will go back.
