I've never been this impressed with this sort of stuff before but that's because I've never come across some as downright thorough as this gentleman. To top it off he's reasonably priced and does the work in a very timely fashion according to the level of damage he's having to fix. I had people tell me it would be impossible to fix the hole in my bumper without painting the entire front end of my vehicle claiming that the paint wouldn't blend or look good if they didn't do all that work which would have cost a couple thousand , low and behold Touch Up Masters did it no problem-- you can't even tell where the work was done and the paint was blended. Im so glad I had patience and found this shop because I was losing hope I'd ever fix this issue for a reasonable price. I knew someone out there could do it and not try and rip me off so I kept searching and researching reviews. I'm grateful in more than one way for the outstanding job and integrity of the owner at Touch Up Masters. He kept his word was done when he said he would be charged me a fair price, I couldn't have asked for a better all around experience. If it's your first time visiting keep in mind the shop is in the back of the building and not easily visible at first glance from Metric Blvd. but not necessarily hard to find if you know that simple detail of where to go. Just drive between the two buildings when you pull up go to the back and you will see a clear sign for Touch Up Masters. All they did was paint over the patch job that I did myself at home. I paid them to cut out my patch job and weld in new metal. But they didn't do that. No one responds to my emails. I called and I talked to the owner on the phone about it. He wrote down my phone number, said he'd talk to "the body shop guys" and call me back. That never happened either. I paid for a budget paint job. I got a budget paint job, but I also paid for body work that they didn't do. I got ripped off. If they wanted more money to do the whole job I hired them for, then first of all - communicate with me and tell me what's going on. Second, a higher bill would be crap because I shopped around and I have a written estimate for another shop for the same work. I mistakenly went with Colunga because the location was closer. If this is how they treat customers, no one should do business with Colunga Body and Paint.

Second, you know its going to cost and arm and a leg to look better. You know its going to be expensive and the outcome is uncertain. The only thing for certain is you want it to be over. So you get to Colunga's which you found on Yelp, and you see all these very cool cars in front, customized and painted like works of art. That makes you feel better because you think, wow these might actually be craftsman here. They are friendly, they look at everything and they give you an estimate. Of course it looks like a lot for a little bodywork, but that's how it goes. I did find they were more reasonable than any of the three other places I went to. Best is to drop off the car for a few days, don't try and rush them, you're only hurting yourself if you do. Wait as many days as they ask and show up and the car looks great, everything looks better than you hoped. I'm dropping off my second vehicle here because after their first job, there's no other place I'd take a car for repairs. I'm even having them do some other minor repairs just to make the car look "newer".

I was not planning on leaving a review but I changed my mind. I brought my vehicle here for repairs…read morein January after a hit and run. My car had a large dent in the front driver side fender. After I picked my vehicle up and left the repair shop, I noticed that the door edge guard on the drivers door was completely different than the rest of the door guards and had been placed about 6 inches too high. I also noticed 2 areas that had damage that was not there prior to me dropping the car off. One of the vertical panels next to the drivers door window was significantly chipped with the top layer peeling away. There is also the same chipping on the horizontal panel below the rear driver side window, see photos. Once I brought this to their attention, the door guards were all replaced as well as the vertical panel on the drivers door window. The day before bringing my vehicle in for these repairs, I sent an email addressing the chip on the back driver side door panel. Since I live on the opposite side of town, I wanted to ensure that part was going to be replaced too before bringing my car all the way over there again. I never received a response to my email, so I called and was asked to go ahead and bring the car in so they could see it. But while I was there waiting for the other repairs to be completed, there was no mention of the part I had asked about in my email. I didn't say anything and I just left after the door guards and vertical drivers door window panel were fixed. While the chip is small, it was not there when I dropped the car off and its damage that was not there prior to the car being left with the shop. It's hot in Texas, and eventually that chipping will start getting worse in the heat, and I will be the one that has to replace that part. I also do not appreciate the way that my email was ignored and just swept under the rug. Those are the facts. I hate to leave a negative review, but there's still damage on my car that was done while my car was at this shop. It's damage that I'll eventually have to get repaired myself, whether it's 6 months from now, or 5 years from now. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this business.

From the very beginning, they treated me like a person instead of just another insurance claim or dumb girl walking into a car shop. One thing that immediately stood out was that they actually asked me, "How perfect do you want this to look?" That might sound like a small question, but it wasn't. They took the time to explain my options instead of automatically pushing the most expensive repair possible, which I really appreciated. I have a 2015 and so it doesn't need to look fresh off the lot. Their estimate also came in **significantly** lower than another shop I visited, but at no point did it feel like they were cutting corners. The repair quality was excellent, and my Mazda looks fantastic again. What really earned this review, though, was the top notch customer service. When they noticed my Mazda emblem had cracked, they replaced it for me. During the conversation I jokingly mentioned making it pink... and they actually custom did it. It's such a fun little personal touch that makes me smile every time I walk up to my car. Most body shops fix your vehicle and send you on your way. Nova managed to fix my car and make the experience pain free and memorable. Nobody wants to spend $$$ on body work, but if you have to, it's nice knowing you're working with people who are honest, communicate well, and genuinely care about their customers. Hopefully I won't need another body shop anytime soon... but if I do, Nova will absolutely be my first call.

They fixed it for free! Zero dollars! Who does that! I tried to give them a good tip and they wouldn't even accept it. These are the people that deserve it most! They just genuinely wanted to help. They will have all of my business and all my family's business moving forward! Plus, besides losing all that money I don't have to worry about sending in my car for over a week! The repair required replacing certain parts related to the suspension and wheel area. Unfortunately, my experience with this place was extremely frustrating from beginning to end. From the start, the woman working there who identifies herself as the Accounting Manager was rude, unprofessional, and very unhelpful. She behaved as if she owned the business, yet showed very little competence or willingness to resolve issues. I even asked to speak with the owner, Alfredo, and was given incorrect information about who the owner actually was. The biggest problem is that my vehicle was returned to me in worse condition than before the repair. After picking it up, the car started making loud noises that it never had before. This makes me seriously question the quality of the work performed. It also explains why they never wanted to provide any warranty for their labor. In addition, the shop kept my vehicle longer than expected and still attempted to charge $50 per day in late fees, which I find completely unreasonable considering the delays and the condition in which my car was returned. At this point, I plan to have my vehicle independently inspected to verify the quality of the work performed. If the inspection confirms my concerns, I will take the appropriate legal action. It is very disappointing to see a business treat customers this way. I honestly believe the owner may not be aware of how poorly this place is being managed and how much damage this type of behavior is doing to the reputation of the shop. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this place look elsewhere for repairs.
