The tech arrived saw the code displayed and said they needed to order the part. He did not look any further at the appliance to make sure this was the issue. Between the service call and the part it was around $300.00 for the first visit. The part was ordered. The company contacted us to let us know the part was in, but unlike what the tech told us (he could put the part in the following week), there was no time available, so we had to wait an additional week. On the day of the service call, (second visit), the part was put in only to be told, the appliance still wasn't working, and we needed an another part for an an additional $300.00. We did not go ahead with the additional part. To say we are disappointed, is an understatement. If the tech would have looked at our appliance at the first visit, perhaps, he might have better diagnosed our problem. I would not recommend this company. My advice is to look for another company. We are now stuck with an appliance that had a new part installed and doesn't work. We are out $300 dollars and without the appliance working. I wish we would have read the reviews, (Brian K and Arthur EW), prior to contacting this company. My advice is to look for another company.

She fit me into schedule quickly. Shane showed up on time and in 15 minutes found the issue. Took an hour to unclog the defrost line, a common problem. Shane was awesome, highly recommended. They are now my "go to" for appliance repair. He even suggested brands and models in case I need to buy new. For now my 25 year old GE is running great. Thank you. Jay P, Highland, MI

I heard long ago that an old trick is to gain your trust by pointing at rust at the bottom of the…read moreheat exchanger and frighten you into believing that it's leaking carbon monoxide and that your family will die tonight. Kreitz played that game right to the letter. What's actually occurring is (according to three trusted sources) that your A/C got low on freon, this causes water to condense and freeze. When the freon is fixed, the ice melts, which causes a little rust, and it's all perfectly harmless. He also needed a week to replace my furnace (it was 40 years old). I looked up his business address on Google Maps/Street View (try it). I tried repeatedly for four days to speak to someone about cancelling my appointment but could never get anyone to answer the phone. Worst of all, the old man's son was tagging along, so he's being taught this scheme. If we hadn't had to wait so long, or if he would have just loaned us a small space heater to get us through the cold nights, we might have had Kreitz do the job. Instead, I went to Home Depot to buy a heater. While I was there, a contractor happened to ask me as I was walking by, "Would you like a quote on a furnace?" Instead of a one-man home-based operation, I dealt with a large professional state-wide organization. The whole thing was over in less than 48 hours and on a Saturday. I paid more there. But the fact is I need reliable, long-term support and satisfaction for decades to come, not a lowball price. And a reliable furnace. And they gave me a very nice Nest thermostat.
