There is plenty of tent camping sites. The restroom/shower sites are well maintained and clean. The campground area can only be accessed through a security gate. Visiting friends and guest must pay a fee and register at the office. There are a variety of things to explore around the facility and plenty of activities for kids - Petting Zoo, huge pool, awning canopies at pool, hot tub, Rock Wall, Jumping Pillow, mining area, biking, etc. The grounds are nicely landscaped and have inviting environments. The store is very well stocked with a vast variety of camping and other items. I have been to a variety of KOA campgrounds but none have been to the beauty and level of experience as this location. My only con about this location is the price of the sites and merchandise and propane. I suppose this could be the very reason this location is so exceptional. Location, location, location and beauty. The representatives were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

The store is well stocked and there's lot of activities on-site so the kids were occupied/entertained. The camp kitchen is awesome. Cook and grill all you want. There's outlets if you want to run a rice cooker or instant pot. Hay ride is a nice event and lets you see the whole park. My daughter loved the gem mining. The gems are bigger in these bags than any other that we've done before. We came here in September, and despite advertising a heated pool. The pool was filled with freshly melted glaciers. We still swam, but couldn't do it longer than 15 minutes. The hot tub was hot, that's nice. If your site is situated on the North West side of the park, you will be overcome with a stench of farm animal feces from the petting zoo. The smell is persistent, not just when a breeze comes through. But you weirdly get used to the smell very quickly. It was bad when we got there, and then you stop noticing it. If you leave the area for a couple of hours and come back. It becomes evident again for a little while... The street lights are BRIGHT and stay on the entire night. The tent sites closest to the driveway are most affected. It's probably not a problem if you booked a cabin. Tent sites close to the driveway can be an issue. Overall, it was fine. Good enough where I would try another KOA again. This particular one again? MAYBE.

The showers and restrooms are very clean. The resort is very much geared towards families and children. There are tons of activities for kids; basketball, table tennis, a playground, a tree house, arcade games, air hockey, etc. They also have special events for kids like movie nights, arts and crafts, pony rides, and karaoke. The resort also has private beach access. You can swim and play in the river if you want, or just relax on the shore. We stayed in one of the cabins. It had a queen size bed, nightstand, lamp, chair, dresser, and a couple small stools. There is electricity and outlets. Water, restrooms, and showers are nearby. If you stay in a cabin, I HIGHLY recommend Fish Camp #6; it's the best cabin on the entire property. It's in a quiet corner, there's no neighbors on one side and the best part is you have a STUNNING view of vineyards.

We enjoy getting chowder and sipping it while watching the waves. It is such a tranquil sight away from the hustle and bustle of life. Today was a beautiful sunny day at Bodega Head but even if it's raining, I love coming here to enjoy the views. Come prepared for some windy conditions just in case. The parking lot will get full on the weekends, especially during spring when you have a better chance of seeing whales. Several picnic tables available with friendly seabirds checking out what you're eating. Restrooms are next to the parking lot.

Goat Rock side no dogs allowed because the seals always wean their pups on the beach, but the dog friendly side is so spacious and a nice long stretch of beach with iconic rock arches out in the water that you will never forget. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in all of California and if it is low tide, there will be many starfish visible on the rock formations on shore lower section which is normally submerged! If you get a good sunset, this place cannot be beat for photos overlooking the water with those rock formations. It could make anyone with a cell phone camera take photos that look like a professional landscape photographer took them.

She is such a kind and generous person. She allowed me to use her WiFi, her phone, and let me and my kids wait for hours while our tow truck came. While waiting we got to see the plants and items she sells at her shop. She has beautiful hand crafted items as well as plants that are clearly very healthy and well cared for. Each plant was in a unique mug surrounded by sea glass or tiny sea stars. She has very neat antiques and even handmade crocheted items. I got to see her building some of her artwork made of natural materials like driftwood and abalone shells. She gifted my children a book and other things to keep them occupied while we were stranded. She has such a beautiful heart and beautiful store. It's definitely worth a stop by.

It was a pleasant experience from the moment we met met our camp host, John, to the time he waved us goodbye a couple of days later. He was so helpful when we needed a little help backing into our spot and when we had trouble unhitching our Airstream. Our site was farthest away from the road next to the empty field so it was fairly quiet. The restrooms and shower facilities are new, spotless, and well-maintained (thank you - I am very particular and fussy). The site is across the beautiful marina, and a picturesque walk a block away to our favorite brewery in HMB and of course Barbara's Fish Trap. As a petite woman, I felt safe walking alone in the middle of the night to the restrooms or taking the dogs out for a potty break. It's also dog-friendly - there's an large/long area off to the side with plenty of space for them to sniff and a couple of conveniently spaced dog poop bag stations.

One coin washer and one coin dryer. Staff are helpful and cordial. Excellent location: Walking distance to restaurants, shops, Pillar Point Harbor, Hwy 1. Easy to get around town from here. Cons: Basically it's a parking lot w/ hookups. No shade, no windbreak from wind coming from NW, blowing dirt and dust from next door farmland. Spaces are short and tight. There might not be sufficient space for RV, tow vehicle, and outdoor chairs. No picnic tables, fire pits. Spaces are very close together. Road noise from Hwy 1, especially the motorcycle rallies, can be a bit much. We tuned it out. Would stay here again, due to location and convenience.
