There is plenty of tent camping sites. The restroom/shower sites are well maintained and clean. The campground area can only be accessed through a security gate. Visiting friends and guest must pay a fee and register at the office. There are a variety of things to explore around the facility and plenty of activities for kids - Petting Zoo, huge pool, awning canopies at pool, hot tub, Rock Wall, Jumping Pillow, mining area, biking, etc. The grounds are nicely landscaped and have inviting environments. The store is very well stocked with a vast variety of camping and other items. I have been to a variety of KOA campgrounds but none have been to the beauty and level of experience as this location. My only con about this location is the price of the sites and merchandise and propane. I suppose this could be the very reason this location is so exceptional. Location, location, location and beauty. The representatives were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Wi-Fi worked for basic browsing, but not for streaming. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would go back just better prepared next time and hoping for a little more flexibility in site selection.

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in all of California and if it is low tide, there will be many starfish visible on the rock formations on shore lower section which is normally submerged! If you get a good sunset, this place cannot be beat for photos overlooking the water with those rock formations. She is such a kind and generous person. She allowed me to use her WiFi, her phone, and let me and my kids wait for hours while our tow truck came. While waiting we got to see the plants and items she sells at her shop. She has beautiful hand crafted items as well as plants that are clearly very healthy and well cared for. Each plant was in a unique mug surrounded by sea glass or tiny sea stars. She has very neat antiques and even handmade crocheted items. I got to see her building some of her artwork made of natural materials like driftwood and abalone shells. She gifted my children a book and other things to keep them occupied while we were stranded. She has such a beautiful heart and beautiful store. It's definitely worth a stop by.

The lady who helped me was very friendly and had personally put together 10 clay pots of little cacti that was I wanting to bring home with me. Harbor Village was clean, had great walkability to some local spots and was the perfect escape from the heat in the Valley. The camp host was so welcoming and kind and made our trip there extra memorable. We stayed at spot 7, which was a spacious spot backed up to an open space which was fabulous! We brought our puppies and although there wasn't a dog park, there was a designated spot to take them to the bathroom. The bathrooms and showers were clean which matched the pristine grounds of the RV park. The spots do cost more than some other RV parks, but honestly you get what you pay for and it was so worth it. (And as they say "location, location, location!") My kids and I absolutely loved it there and have been talking about our Half Moon Bay RV trip ever since and can't wait to return... hopefully sooner than later!

THEFT ALERT - I returned to site 209 from a day trip on the Peninsula and my camp was stolen. I placed 2 camp chairs on the tarp to secure the pile and left some other miscellaneous items to give further evidence the camp was occupied. I returned to camp and everything was gone. Gone! I recognize people are inherently bad, selfish, and entitled (see compliance with beach leash laws as a small example) but flagrantly breaking the unwritten rule of not fucking with other peoples' campsites is a new low. The money is not the issue (~$150 loss), its the evil, selfish behavior that is so shocking and disappointing. I hope the offending party rots in their own selfish delinquency and wish them nothing but the worst. I will not return to Lawson's.
