It's charming, beautiful place with a historic vibe and amazing staff. The Lobby hotel has a cozy atmosphere. We rented the Goldman ballroom and Brooklyn room upstairs. The staff was always very accommodating, helpful and courteous. Plenty of parking near the hotel but can be challenging at times but there is a parking garage about two blocks from the hotel. The lobby itself exudes incredible charm and architectural character. It's difficult to focus on any singular detail of this historic building. That charm abruptly ends when you make it to the individual rooms. The overall bedroom space was small and didn't offer much in terms of sitting space. The bathroom was so tiny you had to stand in the shower if you wanted to close the bathroom door. It genuinely feels like the rooms were an after thought to all the great details of the first floor. If a return trip to wine country is in my future, I may look for a better place to stay.

Soo loved my stay here, my room was upstairs, loved the wood floor, the bed was so inviting and fluffed with such pretty comforter and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, nice clean towels and a thoughtful black small towel for makeup so guests don't ruin the white towels. The entire place was unbelievably clean and the complementary breakfast was superb. We had a delicious strawberry and banana crepe with whip cream and Nutella, hard boiled eggs and the slow drip coffee was such a cute touch. I didn't know what to do and the nice lady behind the counter was kind enough to show me. There is plenty of seating inside as there are outside. Just the cutest place in the back with bicycles lined up on the side, red and blue tables and chairs with umbrellas. Would love to come back and stay here for a few days. I'd give more stars but five is the max. Love this place!!

My room had a very loud air conditioner that made it impossible to sleep with it on. I had to turn it off, but then the room became stuffy and uncomfortable, so there was really no winning. The window in my room faced the parking lot and appeared to open onto a balcony, but it turned out to be a fake balcony. The faux balcony area was made of old, dirty wood and looked neglected and worn, which only added to the overall run-down feel of the room. For the price and brand name, this hotel really missed the mark. Until major updates are done, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The property feels worn and not well maintained, especially in the common areas. The ice and vending area was in rough shape and there wasn't a working ice machine, or the advertised vending machine. The pool was closed during my stay with no prior notice. I understand maintenance is sometimes needed, but better communication would have helped. Front desk staff members were uncertain when it would open? Service was mixed. The front desk felt curt and unwelcoming, while the maintenance staff I encountered were kind. I usually like Sheraton properties, but this one felt run down and didn't meet expectations. I wouldn't stay here again.

Cons: - The hair dryer was missing from the bag labeled "hair dryer," and no one answered the phone at the front desk. We walked to the front desk to ask for a hair dryer and received a replacement. But once we got back to the room, that replacement didn't work and had to go back again for another hair dryer (which finally worked, yay~). - Shower water temperature didn't get very hot. Even at max temp, it was just barely hot. And I don't really take hot showers if it's not winter! The water pressure was okay, not weak but wouldn't call it strong either. - Room temperature was inconsistent. The thermostat wasn't accurate. I now travel with a portable thermometer (I'm a picky sleeper!), and the adjusting the thermostat would result in overshooting in either direction. It affected my sleep but I could also tell during waking hours. - House keeping didn't come clean one day. We came back in the evening so decided it was too late to call them to turnover the room. - Beds are too soft for firm mattress lovers. MT got some back pain by the end of our 4 night stay. - Toiletries downgraded from the last stay. Now they have Marriott-branded toiletries (not a big deal for me except for the lotion, since it didn't do much to hydrate my skin + tiny bottle). - The restroom door didn't slam shut this time, yay! Pros/improvements: - Still happy they have a relatively sizeable gym, which now has wipes! But there weren't any floor mats to use for floor exercises / stretching. - Big free parking lot. Never had issues finding a spot. There were also EV chargers available. - There were full sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles in the shower instead of tiny disposable ones-- hooray! Would be great if there was a full sized lotion bottle as well. Service was nice when we spoke to the front desk in person on checking in and for a hair dryer. There were too many slip ups to call this a smooth stay. We stayed here since we try to stick with the Marriott line of hotels, but I may try out another hotel next time.

It's a quick drive to downtown and most of the surrounding area, easy if you're exploring the wineries nearby. Rates were fair for the modern and clean quality of the place. They have a large free lot with no issues with parking. There's a pool and hot tub outside too. Check in and check out was easy, all the staff was friendly. The bartender was also very nice when I asked for glassware for the room. The room itself was good - clean, modern, nice view. This is a sufficient place to meet your needs if staying in Petaluma. It's central but requires driving everywhere. I would stay here again.

Our room was so big and had comfortable beds, a sitting area with a curtain divider, and a kitchenette that had a dishwasher and microwave! I loved how the sitting room had a divider curtain so it separated the seating area. Our beds were so comfortable and we didn't hear much noise from the highway nearby (I do take my white noise machine though). The complimentary breakfast was awesome! They had lovely build your own breakfast sandwiches with fluffy biscuits, bacon, eggs, cheese, sauces, etc. They also had stellar potato wedges and batter for making your own big waffles. Again, this place kept me safe, was able to get great rest and I was able to request a late check out at 1 pm with no issues. Front desk lady was very pleasant. Multiple buildings with easy access, clean room, comfy bedding, safe, iron & ironing board, toiletries, hair dryer, ample towels of various sizes, full length body mirror, decent sized TV, reliable wifi, multiple seats in the room, desk, fridge, microwave, ice bucket, coffee, working AC/ temperature control, and a whole lot of outlets for charging phones or other devices (a surprisingly large amount). The place was ideal for one night. Plus, I'm a fan of 12 noon checkout so that I don't feel rushed in the morning, and especially if I wanna sleep in, so it's great that they offer this. I could see these blood stains through the fitted sheet and pulled it back to discover this. There's NO WAY the housekeeper didn't see this when they were making the bed and there's no way this was even washed. I still think of this every time I see a Motel 6 and it makes my stomach churn. This was 4/3/23 and it still grosses me out. Accidentally ran across this picture on my phone and can't wait to delete it. Was too busy in my trip to bother with a review at that time.
