I strongly recommend the proprietor check his email messages timely and regularly and accept his own responsibilities if he plans to remain in business. Do yourself a favor and stay at a nearby hotel. At least they know how to properly conduct business!

They provided cheese, crackers, some chocolates, soda, and water and a little refrigerator. They also provide an ice chest and picnic basket. Every morning we were treated to a gorgeous breakfast. It started with coffee and tea, croissants, and fresh fruit. Then the main entrée of an egg dish or pancakes arrived. The place was very neat and tidy, they have two wonderful old dogs on the property. One morning during breakfast we saw an entire family of quail having their breakfast outside of our window. Much like the one I stayed at in Cupertino, this Residence Inn feels super new and clean, even despite how it has actually been open for well over a year and a half now. On site, we didn't really explore the entire property, but we saw a lot of the staple amenities, along with a couple catered towards extended-stay guests - a fitness center, a snack and drink pantry in the lobby, an outdoor BBQ area, a swimming pool, EV charging stations, free parking, and a pretty decent complimentary daily breakfast "buffet". Although the food quality doesn't match an actual restaurant's, it offers a lot to choose from - hot foods (sausage, eggs, tater tots, waffles, etc.), oatmeal, cereal, bagels/toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and more. Now, whether it's because of our Marriott Bonvoy Status or the hotel just not being that full during our stay, we were pleasantly surprised when we got upgraded to a TWO BEDROOM SUITE when we checked in. Literally twice the space we needed, but we weren't about to say "no" either. Inside, the room was great - there were two bathrooms, a desk, a dining table, couch area, TV's in each room, and a kitchenette stocked with the basics (pots/pans, cooking utensils, silverware, plates, glasses, microwave, fridge, stove, etc.). What's more, the bed was plush and comfy, the shower pressure was good, the A/C was strong, and the wi-fi was stable, albeit not super fast for the basic internet. Prior to booking our reservation, we had read some of the reviews for the hotel online and, thankfully, we didn't run into any issues. The workers at the front desk were all really friendly and the walls didn't seem to be very thin (we didn't hear much from the hallway nor from our neighboring rooms). We also didn't hear any noise from the street nor the freeway outside, but, to be fair, our room was in the middle of the building and faced the front parking lot, so we were a bit sheltered from both. If there was anything that this Residence Inn (and most others) could possibly benefit from, it might be an onsite bar/restaurant, but even then, the fact that a Trader Joe's is just a half block away on the other side of the parking lot more than makes up for that. I don't know if/when I might ever have to stay in the north bay again, but if the need should arise, whether it be for work, a wedding, a day in the woods, or out on the coast, I would definitely look to come back here again!

The drive there was a bit grooling, due to a bike race. When we finally got there, we put the horse away in their stalls and found some port in the living room, Nice! The room was nice and clean, breakfast was wonderful, good coffee, Tom was most helpful in giving me safe trails to take my daughter, great wifi, and he had some wonderful guests! Hiking from Limantour Rd. to Sky Camp is about as easy as backpacking gets at only a little over a…read moremile and only a short incline. There are many different ways in if you want a harder hike. Point Reyes is one of my favorite places to hike in the country. I highly recommend taking a trip there. Sky Camp is a lovely campground. It is up there so you have nice views of the ocean without the coastal winds. It's a open campground with many of the campsites feeling very private. We stayed at campsite #10, which had a nice view. The best views seemed to be #'s 10, 11, and 1 (which is not as private). Other notable sites for larger groups if you want more privacy then the group site offers are #6 which is in the shade and #8 and #9 which have a small trail between them. I am not giving Sky Camp 5 stars because my favorite place to camp in Point Reyes is Wildcat.

I just stayed at site #5 with 5 people... a beautiful campsite!…read more The hike in from the Sky trail head was short, but with a decent incline (this may be easy for some, or pretty challenging for others....) This site was very spacious - we fit three tents and could have easily fit a few more. It does border on another campsite and there is no complete privacy, but they are bigger sites, so it wasn't really an issue. #5 was totally shaded, but there are other sites with more sun, if you'd prefer. We had great weather, but the camp remained cool all day... and then the fog rolled in around 7PM and it was cold!! It also rained on us, but it wasn't bad... added some ambiance. The hiking around this camp is great, and there even a shorter 2.5 mile loop if you are tuckered out from the hike in. While Sky Camp doesn't have the beach that Coast Camp boasts, the campsites and general location are amazing.
