Turkey breast had good flavor but extremely dry. Order was overpriced $40 for what we got a 2meat combo & loaded baked potato w/brisket & 2 desserts. Requested brisket on side but was shoved in stale baked potato topped with cheese which made it super greasy wife ate less than half. Only received one side item. I asked for 2 spicy & 1 mild sauces. Only received 2 spicy sauces. Cobbler tasted like cheap store bought cobbler, was just OK & this was ordered to go. I know people will say you should've checked order before leaving. Here's what I say about that all reputable restaurants & owners/managers should ensure every employee understands to make sure orders are filled just as customer gives order. Employee did repeat order back to me accurately. Seems like restaurants are falling short on customer service these days, employees just want more money & less work. As I waited on order I overheard one waitress stating she was cleaning an area that hadn't been cleaned In very long time & other employe stated yeah it won't come up & coworker replied she was able to get some of it up now. I used to love their brisket sandwiches but after this experience I will not be a returning customer. Giving 1 1/2 stars. I'll be better off going to Rudy's from now on. Very bad experience! The food took over 11:2 to get and then the order was wrong. Restaurant calls after an hour of the order being place, that they ran out of brisket. How in the world do you run out of meat @ a BBQ restaurant. The food was cold, the baked was so DRY, the Mac n cheese looked like it was few days old, the mashed potatoes crumbled where it was so dry. I called front counter and of course I was irate but if I am paying $30 for meal, it better be hot and not look like a $5 special when it arrives. We would not recommend this place, food is terrible and the wait is way too long. They did refund us our money but we still will never order from this so called bbq restaurant. Smaller than that at The Shack. The Mac and cheese scoop is as big as the 3 meats I got! Very disappointed! Will not be ordering from here ever again. Wasted 26 friggin dollars that I could've spent at The Shack BBQ. Oh and the sweet tea wasn't even that sweet like other BBQ places. The pulled pork and brisket is so very very very bland - no salt or spice or anything whatsoever. The brisket they sell at SAMs tastes better than this place's. The pulled pork has a taste - as though it's old, and it's so dry. They included BBQ sauce, which is good, but really good BBQ doesn't need BBQ sauce...the meats have their own nice taste. This is an old school smoke house. When we walked in it was full of smoke from the smoker. A smell I happen go love. Walls smoky and the ceiling stained. What a great old BBQ atmosphere. I had a meat plate brisket was a little dry and very lightly seasoned, sausage was great, ribs were good smoked with the membrane on and no seasoning. There sauce is great and when used on the meat a good combo. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich and I tasted it and it was very good by far there best meat. She enjoyed the sandwich. The restaurant also called nearly every 30 minutes with substitutions on my ordered meal in which even the substituted items had to be changed for me to get food I've already prepaid for. Had an awful experience with delivery as well as I had given detailed instructions to find the apartment only to have their driver tell me to come to the front office of my complex to get my food as they couldn't find my apartment.
