All lackluster work ethic aside, imagine a place that puts beans on a BBQ frito pie...in Texas no less... had I been able to tell in the photo or get that detail on the menu, I'd definitely been able to avoid major disappointment when I got home. It's Tuesday... it's allegedly on special... and it was 11.50. Really expensive for 60% Fritos. Guess the beans were to make up for the protein you should have gotten if they hadn't skimped on the meat (with a sprinkle of sauce. No, really, had to add my own.) I regret not feeling like cooking. Or at least choosing Arby's instead. So the Tuesday SpEcIaL on frito pie is $11.50 for a large, $4 for small potato salad that you might have to settle for since they're magically "out" of anything they have to drop-- by the way, the concept of this just blows my mind; you're open until 9, which means you're SERVING until 9, I digress.... And $3.50 for a 32 oz fountain drink. $20 and some change. Simply stunning. Steep lesson to learn over your hot garbage. Bummer. read more

I have never left a review on any of these sites, but I was so aggrivated at my lunch (and the service) today that I decided to come read reviews and ultimately decided to leave one of my own. First of all, we placed our order online from work as we do anytime we order out. Your site specifically asks about sides, add-ons, etc. This is the second time in a row that nothing we added was in our bag...only this time I was smart enough to check before I left. When I told the girl, who was not friendly at all to begin with, it seemed to annoy her that I actually wanted what I ordered. I told her we should have had onions, jalapenos and extra pickles, but had none of any of it. She just handed me a bag without saying anything. I asked if there were extra pickles. She rudely said no and just stood there and looked at me. I said, we ordered extra pickles, can I get them, please. She walked off, grabbed them then handed them to me, again not saying a single word. SO RUDE! Got back to work to eat...the brisket on my sandwich was so overcooked that it was hard and dried out. Tasted as though it had been sitting there for days. The onions were slimy and disgusting, as if they had been cut days ago. I couldn't eat any of it. I will say this...if your employee had been the least bit friendly, or even apologized for leaving out part of our order, rather than being hateful and acting like I was inconveniencing her, I would have never left a review on here. A simple smile and not acting like you hate your job can go a long way. And, if you do hate your job that much, find something else. Just awful. It breaks my heart to write this review. I've been eating at Bigham's for at least 20 years and have been enough of a regular that the manager knows me when I walk in on 19th. I kept goinging there despite all the flashy BBQ joints that have popped up in town because the food was great, and I loved the friendly atmosphere. When I was hungry and in the area, the idea of finally checking out the new location seemed appealing. Unfortunately, it cost me $35 to know I'll never go back to this location. I have no idea why things are so different at the new location, but they're not what you expect. We ordered two Frito pies and a half pound of sausage. Fortunately, I asked for the beans on the side because they were crunchy (definitely not done) and in the words of someone else, they tasted "like someone washed their feet in them." The Frito pie was edible, and the portion was generous. Unfortunately, no cheese was placed on top, and the barbecue sauce was so skimpy that I had to get my own out of the refrigerator to supplement it. The brisket also didn't have the usual smoke flavor I've come to expect and looked like it may have been prepared in a slow cooker. It also was a bit fattier than usual. I'm really not sure what to make of the sausage. It's a bit mushy, although the flavor tastes like I expected. The texture is more akin to potted meat. If you've got a craving for BBQ and want to support local, Bigham's on 19th is still a great choice and worth the drive if you're not in the area. If you're around the Marsha Sharp and Milwaukee and don't want to make a long drive, there are far superior options in the area. read more

What a great first time experience at this restaurant the drive-through girls were so helpful I ordered the brisket Taco so which the meat was tender very juicy fast and a nice quality. Imagine going to a bbq restaurant and eating the bun and the baked potato and leaving the brisket on the plate. The best thing we had - and it was just ok - was the loaded potato salad. Tables were all dirty with only one other table occupied at 12:30 on a Saturday. An empty bbq joint in Texas on a Saturday lunch is a bad sign. We will not come back. read more
