Nick was the first to respond within minutes...at 8 o'clock at night! We FaceTimed him (after seeing all of his five star Yelp reviews) to show him our problem, and he gave immediate advice, which we followed. He said he would be out first thing in the morning. He was! We had to replace a few circuits that were fried and decided to do a full breaker box maintenance (to prevent this from happening again) because it probably hadn't been serviced...ever...in 25 years. Nick went far over and above expectations. He threw in upgrading a garage outlet while he was here and put in a whole house surge protector at a very discounted rate since we went with the full breaker box maintenance package. Our breaker box now looks and works like it is brand new. His work comes with a two year warranty! Nick was extremely personable and honest. I added him to my contacts because we will be contacting him with any future electrical issues. It pains me to write this. I actually used Sergio quite a few times to do electrician work around…read morethe house and have always been satisfied with his work, suggestions, and care. Up until now. In Jan 2025, I asked him to upgrade my electrical panel as I had bought an EV. I knew this needed a permit through the city (or can cause issues with insurance if anything goes wrong). He quoted me a price with city permits and we started the job. They did a great job installing the panel and I paid for about half the job then, with the remaining to follow after the permit was procured. For the next year, Serio proceeded to drag me on, repeatedly promising over calls to begin the process. I had to consistently follow up and ask him to complete this and he kept telling me he would get it done. After 8-9 months of getting nowhere, I finally filed on my own and listed him as the builder. The city replied that his license number had expired so I reached out about that. His tone suddenly changed and he started to say that he didn't have the money to file for the permit or his business license in this city. He also said he undercharged me (not my issue) and I had to remind him that the amount I had ALREADY paid him was just part of it and he would get the remaining balance he would be collecting after this was resolved. He asked me to pay for his license and take it out of what I owed him. I was uncomfortable with that - why should I pay for his license to operate here? - especially since he had been less than forthcoming and was not following through on anything he was telling me he was going to do. He asked for one more month (October) to wait until his current job was finished and then he promised (for the thousandth time) that he would finish this up. I told him I really didn't want to have to follow up again, and he assured me (again) that I wouldn't have to. Well, sure enough, he did nothing and never reached out again. I tried following up with multiple texts/messages over the next few months and he is not responding to me at all anymore. It's now Jan 2026. As a result, I feel like I have no choice but to leave this negative review. It's a shame because I really liked Sergio on a personal level as well, as we had talked about our beliefs and families. It's so sad to have the relationship dissolved over something like this.

It would have been easy to push for an expensive repair, but instead, they suggested giving a try with the builder's electrical contractors before committing to their proposed work, as the house is relatively new (3 years), though it is out of the builder's standard 1-year warranty. Fortunately, that option worked, and I didn't need to move forward with repairs through Nick's Electrics. Even so, they didn't seem disappointed in the slightest. In fact, they genuinely seemed happy that I was able to get the issue resolved most cost-effectively. That kind of integrity and customer-first mindset is rare these days. The diagnosis they provided was invaluable and ultimately helped resolve the issue much faster. To top it all off, the inspection and diagnosis were provided at no cost. I highly recommend Nick's Electrics to anyone looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy, and skilled electricians. We lost power to two of our bedrooms, and Daniel, the service tech, arrived within the time window…read moreprovided. He was courteous and respectful of our home from the moment he arrived. He even took the time to greet my children and was very warm and friendly with them. Daniel was able to determine that a faulty line/wire was causing the power issues in the bedrooms. After checking the attic, he also discovered some problematic wiring and conditions involving the subpanel. He recommended running new wiring and replacing a damaged breaker in the attic panel, which would not only fix the problem but provide a much safer setup and help prevent potential hazards like an electrical fire. The price was fair, and the work took about two hours, just as he estimated. He worked diligently the entire time without taking a break. I honestly felt bad for him being up in our attic because it had to be easily 120° up there! I offered him water throughout the job, which he graciously accepted. Before leaving, Daniel also gave me an estimate to upgrade our existing breaker box. That price seemed very reasonable as well, especially compared to estimates I've received from other companies in the past. Overall, great experience. Daniel was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and got the problem taken care of. We'll definitely be reaching out to Nick' Electric again for future electrical repairs and other work.
