Was there a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday and I had not been there in over a year but my last time was a good time. As I arrived at the front door there were 2 guys in line with "untucked" shirts. I saw a little sign in front of them that had a picture of a snub nosed handgun. Apparently, they have a new rule where if you have an untucked shirt you must lift it up and turn around in a circle so they can see you are not carrying a firearm. VERY FAIR AND I GET IT. I'm actually all for the safety of everyone. Well...the 2 guys ahead of me walked right in and pass the doorman after showing their ID. But when I got to him a manager walks up to the doorman and informs him "It's important that you search everyone who comes in". Ok.... so he makes me do the shirt lift and turn and once convinced I had no gun he let me go in.... but I was curious. So I stand there and watched my other 2 "untucked" shirt friend come in, show their ID and walk right in without being searched. From behind them, 2 more "untucked" shirt people walked in after showing their ID's....no search. I felt really embarrassed and humiliated and my friends were in a bit of a shock as well. Because the only difference between me and the 6 people who did not get checked for firearms was my dark skin tone. But it's not all negative. The music was great and the bar staff was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. I would love to come back but after the incident to get in to this place....I think it's better if I didn't.

I love seeing how different clubs in different cities set themselves up. Plus, any excuse to meet new people and play with them is a good reason. My wife had some business things to handle via zoom in the hotel room so I went over to this club myself. I had just visited the one in New Orleans a few days earlier and was excited to check this one out. Of course, there is always the waivers, fees and check in stuff when new at any club. As a single female for the night, they definitely streamlined the process. Single, attractive women that swing are treated like royalty at swing clubs. This club was no different. Once was inside, having forgotten to bring anything to drink, as this club was byob, I found myself alcohol deficient. I had to barter for drinks and had fun making trades. If you get my meaning. I found this club fun, clean and had plenty of attractive, fun and play minded men and women. The staff were all pleasant and I saw nobody pushing nor violating the rules. There was a good mix of ages from mid twenties to people in their sixties. Nobody pressured me nor made me feel uncomfortable in any way. I found four like minded women and really enjoyed their company. I only stayed for about three hours but I really enjoyed it. If I lived in the Dallas area, I'd certainly be a member and spend my Saturday nights there. If swinging is your thing or you just like to watch and enjoy the vibe, this club is for you.

When we arrived we had been told they had food, however that is incorrect. But we made due with the Dairy Queen that was just up the road. The environment was amazing. Great people. Great staff. They treated us like locals. We absolutely loved singing karaoke, and dancing. The crowd was not any single type. There were country people, bikes, goths, preps, old and young. We all mingled and having a blast. Drinks were priced just right and they held the COVID rules very well by only allowing 150 people into the bar. The place was at capacity quick, but way worth it. We loved it so much, the next night we left the casino and went back. Love it.

This venue feels like a Las Vegas nightclub transported to Dallas and since it was rented out for an event it felt like we owned the place. For this event, there was catered bbq which was set up outside and then the concert took place inside. One Republic ended up performing that night and wow what a show. If I have the opportunity to stop by this venue in the future I definitely will.

Perfect size for small acts,you feel like you're part of the action. This show featuring international circus acts along traditional lines was high energy. Line dances on Wednesday and Salsa on Thursday. Only 12 minutes west on 380/University Drive and just north on 156. Have live music on Friday and Saturday. Almost always no cover charge. My experience at Red River tonight was unacceptable…read more I've been to Red River before wearing the same type of outfit and having the same neck tattoos. Tonight, I was stopped at the door, told there was an issue with the dress code and my tattoos, and made to stand to the side while white customers were allowed in ahead of me. The staff was rude about it, and I was left wondering why I was being treated differently. Eventually, a Black manager came over and gave me the OK to enter. I'm glad I was eventually allowed in, but that doesn't erase how I was treated at the door. If Red River has a dress code or tattoo policy, it should be clearly explained and applied consistently to everybody. I'm sharing my experience because customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of race.
