Parking is in the lot outside and since this is Huebner Oaks, the parking spots are a normal size so that's nice!

Nothing ever goes on sale here. Ever. Never ever. I've never seen a coupon, a "SALE" or anything like that. I wonder what happens to the stuff that doesn't sell? It's a badly kept secret that many of the Trader Joe's things are really big brand manufacturer items, but under a "Trader Joe's" label instead. My favorite thing about Trader Joe's is the wine. They sell a lot of their own stuff- Two Buck Chuck (Really four buck, now) is a pretty good wine, especially for the low, low price! Many of their wines are "great-adjacent." Like white bubble wine, from the next region over from Champagne. Or Pinot Grigio wines from lesser known parts of Italy. The staff is always friendly. They have free lollypops at the register! Frankly, I really only come in for the cheapo wine, and leave with an extra piece of candy and a lolly each time. Unfortunately, this has become part of the regular shopping trip.

I usually shop at another HEB but their floral department is not anywhere near the caliber of this particular HEB. I arrived at approximately 11:00 am and saw that they had bunches of flowers 2 for $6. Therefore I thought to myself that I could still keep a personal touch of exactly what I wanted but I'm not good at arranging, trimming, etc. The young girl working was extremely helpful and said that she could arrange so I selected a clear glass vase and the rest is history. They've got a large selection of Goya products, canned foods and dry beans and spices. They've got a healthy selection of Caribbean colas, which are always fun. I could try them all! The frozen selection is amazing! They've got heaps of food that has been imported from afar to end up here under ice. There's a small produce selection that seems to favor plantains. If they don't have it fresh, they'll have it frozen. My favorite were the large African sculptures they were selling by the door. The clerk was friendly and said "hi" when I came in. The merchandise looked all pretty fresh. I wish there were some things to help explain what some of the ingredients and products were. It'd be nice if they had recipes or cards that explained that these items are snacks, and these are ingredients. But if I had any questions, the clerk was happily standing by to answer.
