Finding mechanics to work on bikes older than 10 years is hard enough already but what a great place motozone is to get work done. Pricing is very reasonable too. FInding a rear rotor for my 08 GL1800 isnt easy unless i want to drop $912 for an oem one. But after looking through some gently used units and going over which one would be the best Cody took the time to help check them out and advise me which one. ( i know nothing about brakes and rotors and dint want to buy something that potentially had something i couldn't recognize to be bad). So kudos for the time and effort despite how busy they are to help me make sure i purchase the right part even if its not through them. They dont price gouge anything he could have ordered it through ebay for me but told me if so there would be a 20% upcharge and was open and honest about it. Yet again the Scooter Shop Las Vegas has saved me. About 3 miles down from the shop the drive belt…read moresnapped. I walked my moped down to the Scooter Shop Las Vegas and purchased the drive belt. I didn't have a impact wrench on me so Kevin was kind enough to go ahead and stop what he was doing and lend me a hand with his impact. Upon taking off the CVT cover checking it out we both noticed the shrouds on the variator were shredded from the belt. Kevin provided me with all the parts necessary! He also helped me with placing the belt back in place and he practically showed me how to install everything and helped with the setup and installation of the new variator kit. In 20-30 minutes I had everything back up and running and I was riding once again. Thankyou once again to Kevin & Scooter Shop Las Vegas. If you didn't know Kevin is a intelligible, knowledgeable & more then qualified mechanic. I frequent often and I don't waste my time going to other mechanic shops for my scooter. The prices are good here. They don't over charge. The people are honest.
