Been coming to this salon for about 15 years now. Some of the employees have gone but most of them are still there. They've always cut my hair exactly how I want it when I explain to them. It may not be a $30 straight razor cut but for the price, it is way worth it. I recommend the ladies near the front since it's does seem like they seem more experienced. Worst place EVER!! I thought about trying this place when my husband came back with a decent hair cut from this place. I should have known since they were so cheap that there was no way they could handle ladies haircuts!! I came in with my husband because I needed a little trim before we went to our Vegas vacation and to attend a wedding in Los Angeles which was literally two days away. I asked for a layered cut, but I specified that I only wanted one inch off of my length. The lady, Lu, said OK but I don't know if she really understood what I was saying. She just kept saying, "Yes it's still long in the back." Long story short, she blow dried my hair half way and asked me to stand up to look in the mirror. I damn near cried when I saw what she did to my hair!!! Actually I cried for hours after I left the hair salon. I was so mad at myself for paying and tipping even after I received such a TERRIBLE cut. She basically gave me a mullet cut and now I might have to spend hundreds of dollars for extensions because she butchered my hair so much!!! I despise this place. It might be OK for men's cuts but ladies beware!!!! If you care about your hair go somewhere else!! These people do not listen to what you want. They do what they want to do with your hair without even consulting you. read more

WATCH out which stylist you got to. I take my boys here and love the lil' lady that cuts their hair, but there is one that I do not know her name, but could point her out in a crowd of people that will NOT cut your hair how you tell her to. She gave an incomplete hair cut and still wanted me to pay for it. She said she was going to call the cops. I even offered to wait for them, but she did nothing. I know the owner Kim. She would be furious if she knew the kind of service this particular stylist gave. My husband will have to go somewhere else to fix what fed up hair cut he got here. I have complained to the BBB & will be calling Kim on her cell phone to tell her about my experience. Normally all is smooth, but when you do me wrong you will pay. read more

This place holds the award for worst haircut experience ever had by me. It actually didn't have a Yelp page and I had to make one just to warn people never to go there. I went there Friday and the lady who sat me has no inside voice. She started the entire session insulting me on my eyebrows which I just had done a few days ago and were on fleek. Then she was screaming in my ear about how long, thick, curly and tangled my hair is. First of all, that's why I'm paying you extra. Secondly if you can't deal with curls and tangles, you don't need to be doing hair sweetie. She spent a good 5 minutes using a thin toothed comb to try to detangle my hair when she really needed a brush. The entire time I'm trying to tell her she needs better equipment. For those wondering "what's the difference?" lemme give you an example, if you're opening a can of tuna, you can use a knife to open it, but its gonna take a long time to cut all the way around compared to if you use a can opener. It's not the right equipment. The brush she choose was for fine hair, my hair is thick- not the right equipment. Finally after insisting for the 3rd time, she pulls out a regular brush which is literally in the first drawer on her desk and I detangle my hair like literally 3 swipes. The rest of the session was her screaming at me like a banshee about how long and thick my hair is and how much work it is. My hair goes 1/2 way down my back and I tell her to cut 2 inches and instead of cutting it off the way my hair naturally is, she straightens it and cuts it off. Which means that once it's curly some areas are going to be too short making my face look fuller. Then I go to inspect my hair and it's not even. One side of my hair looks 1 inch shorter than the other and instead of fixing the problem, she blamed it on my hair being oily and wanted me to pay 5 bucks to wash my hair. After a few minutes arguing where she just screams at me a coworker intervenes and after talking in whatever language they speak, she cuts my hair again, making it more even and the entire time she's complaining about how oily my hair is. Finally she's done with my hair and today I wash it like I do everyday and guess what? The curls/ poofyness around my face make my face look fatter. I now have to damage my hair by straightening it to fix what she has done. I absolutely hate this place and I will never go back. I think the women there only want to service men because I noticed that all the other customers were men and they were regulars and treated with respect while I was treated like I was a matted stray. BTW the woman's station is the first one in the wall dividing the room and she was facing towards the entrance. If you ever go here, even after reading this review, do yourself a favor and avoid this lady at all costs. read more
