My home warranty assigned this company to fix my pool filter housing that exploded yesterday morning. I received a call shortly afterward to schedule an appointment and try requested pictures of the damage. They got me on the schedule the very next morning. Gerald showed up with the parts needed to make the repair. He also found another problem and coordinated with the warranty company to approve/repair it. He didn't have that part on hand but quickly ran to the pool supply store, returned, and made the second repair. Gerald is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. They wrote a false diagnosis to my home warranty company, even though I have a real diagnosis in a text, so they wouldn't have to come back out and finish the job. Their receptionist is horrible (rude and inexperienced) and would not re-dispatch the tech to do follow up work even though the tech said he knew what was wrong after my pool cleaning company troubleshooting was complete. The tech had tightened a valve and thought that would solve the problem, then I bought a new filter, still broken. My pool cleaners said it had nothing to do with the filter because the debris they vacuumed was just immediately going back in the pool. I just don't think lying to my warranty company and not following up when you say you will is an honorable way to do business. Be careful. read more

This company came to my moms house and looked at her pool this week. They said stuff wasn't covered by the home warranty that is covered , but offered to fix it for a fee. They left the Report at her house and I started looking it up in the contract. They said that it really needed to be replaced for $185 and said it was not covered but it clearly states in her contract that relays are covered. When they turned in their report to the warranty company they left the relay off the report so the home warranty company report does not match the report at our house. I will be calling every news station on her behalf and reporting this to the contractors board ! Shame on this company for trying to rip off a 73 year old woman! read more

You know when they say if it's not one thing, then it's another? That's me, damn. Pool pump went out and I talked to a local pool shop with a picture and video and they said it's a simple battery capacitor swap out but the issue was the placement of my pool pump. The geniuses who built the pool made it so the pump is up against the side of the house so everything would have to be taken out. Talked to Jennifer I believe, who has good customer service, from JNJ Pools and she schedules me their next available which was not soon. But I get a text later on the day and they had a cancellation and would be able to send someone out the next day. Tommy arrives to help me with the pool pump and he knocked it out. Great customer service by Jennifer and Tommy. Now that my pool is fixed, on to this damn irrigation that we just discovered. SMH. read more

My house warranty company has sent out J&J twice in the last few years to fix the pool's plumbing issues. The service was great. Today, we had what I thought was a plumbing issue and asked the Home Warranty company to send J&J. The company asked me to text them pictures of the problem. I was told it wasn't a pool problem, but a plumbing issue. Now that's integrity! The company could have sent out a technician just to collect our out of pocket fee, but instead let me know I needed a plumber. I will always request this company for any pool related issues if they arise in the future. Such honesty is not easy to find these days. read more

This company was sent to me by my Home warranty insurance to fix my pool pump motor, it took 5 days before they were able to schedule my service, then it took less than 10 minutes for the guy to look at it, he turned the switch on, heard a pop and immediately diagnosed it as rain damage and told me that it is NOT COVERED by warranty, then suggested to have it replaced to the tune of $1950. read more

For a while it was good but then we started having algae problems and they kept blaming on the filter needing to be cleaned. We cleaned it three times since they told us. When we told them we still had algae issues they referred back to our filter again. Turns out after testing with another company our water is dead. I am not sure why they didn't tell us. Now we have to put extra chlorine in twice a week to maintain until the weather is ok to drain and refill. Meanwhile....the office NEVER answers the phone and sometimes returns the call. We pay them and they wait to cash the check after a month or so causing billing issues with them and with our bank costing us extra. This company has cost me more money than needed. I'm done with them. Between their lack of customer service, office staff being rude and not responsive, the pool not being maintained and water tested and treated I'm just done. read more

I had a issue with my pool plumbing, when i set up the service call i asked the rep if this is covered before i paid the 100.00 service fee and he confirmed it was covered.As soon as JNJ Pools came out he imediately said that American Home Shield doesn't cover the repair. He said we don't solder pipe that's a plumbers job, he was such an argonant ass and not very smart because the pipes are a threaded steel connection, do your own homework but if they say there sending JnJ Pools tell them you want a different contractor. read more

I used them back in December after my home warranty sent them out, unfortunately they had an employee that wasn't responsive and ignored calls, after a repair, I had concerns and it went unaddressed, calls not returned, etc.. home warranty company called and nothing.... My pool is older and I filed another warranty claim, the company sent j n j.... Secretary called me and it was someone different. She was responsive, cheerful and wanted to help. Here is the game plan. They want to collect as many home warranty service fees as possible without doing the work. During inspection, they will write down a few words they know will allow the home warranty to deny the claim. They can collect tons of service fees without taking the time to do the repairs and fight with the Home warranty company to get paid. The previous pool servicer I was using had people that just cleaned the pool, but didn't necessarily understand what they were doing around the pool equipment so when they cleaned my filter they somehow hosed down my motor, which burned it out. They then had the nerve to give me a $430 bill if I wanted them to repair it. I instead put in a home warranty request that got assigned to JNJ Pools and that was a lifesaver. The certified technician came out and got everything fixed on the same day. It turned out motor replacement was technically not covered, but they did it anyway with no extra charge. I was so happy with the level of service that I hired them to do my weekly pool maintenance now. read more

On September 4th the impeller went out on my pool. Have a home warranty so I called them and paid $125 to have this company come out abs fix my impeller and the canister cause it has a pin whole leak. At first I thought this was going to be an easy process but this have turned into a damn nightmare! From the start my warranty American Home Shield states that they never got the diagnosis however I have a new impeller and canister. Unfortunately for me this is the crappy cartridge that I got. Now I'm trying to get a hold of j n j to figure out what the hell type of cartridge this is cause obviously I need a new cause there's not enough chemicals to get my pool clean with this filter. Can't get a hold of anyone in the office and have left several messages. Had a second company come out and just shake their head in disbelief that this is the kind of garbage jnj produces. Here we are at the end of October with a half working pool cause only part of the job was complete and AHS is supposedly sending JnJ out again yet it's been 3 days and I haven't gotten a phone call. Needless to say I'll be buying a new canister and cartridge cause I have no clue how well this one will work and I will NEVER do business with them or even recommend this company to ANYONE! read more

JNJ Pools was dispatched by my home warranty company. The technician arrived and i was with him the whole time he inspected my pool filter. The pool filter has a small hairline crack that is leaking. Somehow, he was able to determine that the leak was a pre-existing condition (which meant that it pre-dated the beginning of my contract 9 weeks prior). He also communicated to the warranty company that the leak was caused by excessive pressure, yet he noted that the operating pressure was 26 psi. The label on the filter clearly states that the max operating pressure is 50 psi. So, even though the operating pressure was 50% of the max operating pressure, he blamed excessive pressure and his magical time travel capabilities to determine that the problem was in excess of 9 weeks old and that it was magically caused by excessive pressure. He did however offer to sell me new filter cartridges for over 700 (available online for about $300) and he submitted a bid for a new filter for $1475. Such dishonesty and lies should make anyone very very cautious of hiring them. Obviously, their only goal is to maximize their revenue and not serve a customer. Never again will they be allowed on my property. read more

This company should not be trusted. They were assigned to me by my warranty company. When they contacted me to schedule the appointment, I was very clear with them that the skimmer line was not suctioning and was likely clogged. I stated we would need the line cleared with CO2. They continued to send a tech to my home knowing this wasn't covered by the warranty. The tech did nothing other then say "yep not covered" but I can fix it for $150. I asked why he came knowing this wasn't covered and he said they send us out no matter what the issue. I am out my fee for the warranty despite the fact the company knew it wasn't covered then they tried to hoodwink me into using them to fix it at a much higher price then three other companies I called. Don't use them as they clearly will take advantage of the Hone warranty process and also try to hook you into repairs that are higher in cost. read more
