It's a heck Yes for me! We did not want to be bothered with the crowd at Fumi and decided to just order take out from J ONE and now this is officially our new hibachi spot! Well seasoned fresh veggies and plenty of them ( Veggie Hibachi) and my niece is visiting from Knoxville was going crazy over the shrimp & Chicken hibachi, the food came with soup or salad, we chose the soup and ordered a side of spring rolls, the dipping sauce had a hint of ginger and was very tasty. The restaurant kinda gives "take out"vibes but its extremely cute, it was clean and comfy for anyone thats dining in. The prices were gooooooooooood! I waited nearly an hour for a chicken bowl, only to be told my order had been given to another customer due to a mix-up. By that point, I no longer had time to eat because I needed to be at work shortly. While I was offered an apology, there was no attempt to resolve the situation or offer a refund. This is a good quality take-out spot that serves really great hibachi and sushi. The menu is pretty simple, fairly priced, and also has a variety of fruit and milk teas (although I'm not sure those teas are freshly made, given that they didn't appear customizable). The steak hibachi with fried rice (and complementary side salad YAY) and two of their standard rolls were plentyyyy to feed two. The fish was surprisingly really fresh -- I normally don't prefer raw sushi at take-outs because of a bad experience but this place has me second-guessing that preference. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be prepared and well-packaged. The hibachi we ordered had a good amount of quality steak and plenty of veggies. Everything was flavorful. Try their house sauce when you get the chance. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was the service. This place has ordering kiosks and like many places that I've been to that have come to rely on them, the service tends to suffer. The young man taking our order was on scrolling his phone the entire time while we were ordering which was honestly wild and definitely off putting as a customer experience. We Ordered the teriyaki hibachi chicken bowl with rice and veggies. The portion size was big enough for my boyfriend and i to share . The rice & chicken were cooked very well, seasoned to perfection, & on par with more upscale hibachi restaurants . We also ordered the sushi, which was neatly packaged. Service was good, they have a self serve kiosk menu option that was pretty cool for you to place your order at . Was looking for Hibachi on DoorDash durning my lunch break and noticed J One. I knew it had to be fairly new because I had never seen it before and I get hibachi frequently. Moseyed over to Yelp, as one does, to see the verdict and to my surprise there weren't any reviews yet. I decided to take a chance anyway and I'm very glad I did. I got the Hibachi steak with Hibachi rice and everything was delicious. The veggies were fresh and the steak tasted great (although I ordered it cooked medium and it was definitely medium well). The yum yum sauce was also much better than comparable places in the area. It wasn't watery and had great flavor. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough teriyaki sauce (there was hardly any), so going forward I'll definitely request extra. Found my new favorite casual sushi/hibachi joint! Clean establishment, friendly staff, quality delicious food, and reasonable pricing? This place is a steal! I'll go over the items I ordered: 1. Tofu and veggie hibachi with lomein noodles with J1 sauce. Highly recommend!! The sauce was a hit, with enough to season the dish just right. The vegetables were done perfectly, and I don't say that lightly. I prefer my vegetables cooked down to a particular doneness, and J one got this part down. This was important to me bc I ordered the dish mainly for the veggies. The tofu also blew me out the water. The sauce clung onto the batter so well, and the tofu was soft and tasted fresh. The ginger dressing for the side salad was also bomb diggity. Might order some on the side to eat with salads at home next time. 2. Titanic roll I was not in the mood for raw fish so I went for a cooked roll option, this roll was great. The amount of sauce was perfect, not overpowering the roll at all. I thoroughly enjoyed this. 3. California roll. Okay so yea I ordered the most basic roll of all the rolls. But hear me out, if they get the California right, they'll get pretty much everything else right. I wanted a simple roll to taste the seasoned sushi rice, which I think makes or breaks all their rolls, and this place did not disappoint. Sushi rice was sooo good for a casual sushi spot, so good that I wished they put more rice on their roll, but then their ratio of rice to the toppings was also perfection. So as much as I liked their sushi rice, I actually loved the way theirs is made with less rice than most places. This roll was so good I decided to call them right after my meal to tell them how my day has been made bc of them. This place is such a gem, and I'm not going to gatekeep, so please come support these guys! Will be coming back for all 3 items I ordered, and all the other items on the menu too. Fantastic food! The online pictures don't do it justice! Very fresh, cooked to order, took a little time but with as amazing as it was, we didn't mind at all! The tempura shrimp roll, California roll, and spicy tuna rolls all so fresh and delicious! My husband order the bento box with steak and chicken, which was cooked to perfection! It came with a soup or salad, 2 spring rolls, perfectly sautéed fresh vegetables, and he chose hibachi noodles to go with his. So yum! Our daughter had the same but with the hibachi rice and she loved it, and our son enjoyed his hibachi steak bowl with was also served with hibachi rice, and vegetables. This place is a gem! Stopped by on my lunch break to grab a quick bite to eat. I decided on the lunch special #1 which is 2 maki rolls and either a salad or soup. I grabbed the Alaskan and Spicy Salmon roll with a salad. The service was so quick and the young man helping me was really helpful and patient. It was my first time coming by and I saw this sushi place, came in told the lady at the front about a certain combo and asked for it to be exchanged with only salmon, she said she didn't know and I asked if she could ask, she went back and told me yes but it would be an upcharge, I agreed and paid only to later find at home that my order hadn't been what I asked. I called to see if I could come back and get the correct one but she said that it wasn't possible then tried to blame it on me saying she didn't hear me when I specifically told her twice, and if she didn't hear me why did she even go back to the owner to ask for permission of the exchange? Cute and casual take out spot, with some tables inside for dine in. The place was extremely clean and the workers were super nice and helpful. They also had some lemon lychee water that was self serve. The rolls ranged from $12-18 and were pretty filling. All the raw fish tasted super fresh, especially the J1 roll. A great place for some amazing food! With a short menu, it was pretty easy to find something me, my boyfriend and my mom loved. My mom and I both got the chicken hibachi that came with yum yum sauce. We did not expect the portions to be huge! But I cannot explain how amazing it was. The best part to me was how fresh everything tastes in my hibachi chicken bowl. The veggies were cooked perfectly-- not too hard, nor not too soft or not drenched in a ton of teriyaki sauce either. You could still taste the freshness of the vegetables. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing alongside the hibachi rice and veggies. The hibachi chicken was 13$, and was totally worth the price. My boyfriend got the spiderman roll, which is fried, and the salmon roll. He said that the rice was perfect-- not too vinegary or sweet! He also mentioned that the fish tasted very fresh too. Overall we had a great experience at one of our new favorite spots. The staff were very friendly and patient. AMAZING IN EVERY ASPECT !! My boyfriend and I ordered online, and we got the teriyaki chicken hibachi and crab rangoon's. When we arrived, the atmosphere was so incredible, the people were nice and there was even "honey lemon water" at the front for guests. It feels like a very clean well kept environment, and we even decided to order a California Roll when we got there. We ate the California Roll in the car on the way home (it smelled so good in the car, just couldn't resist lol). Then we get home and pull out some of the best rangoons we've ever had with a tasty sweet chili style sauce. But the main event? These massive, layered, juicy bowls of perfection with the bottom being rice, middle being veggies, and the top was juicy CHUNKS of chicken! All topped with teriyaki sauce that melted all the way through each layer YUMMM! Absolute perfection, 10 out of 10, they will be getting a lot of our business!!! read more

Delicious food! I ordered three regular rolls yesterday, nothing special: shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon. They were prepared pretty quickly and the guy who took my order on the phone was polite. The rolls tasted fresh despite having ordered them at around 9pm. One of the spicy rolls had more of a black peppery taste, which I wasn't totally into, but it was fine once I dipped it in soy sauce/wasabi. Sometimes, sushi spots can have fish that tastes rank as it gets closer to closing time but this wasn't the case here. Note that the shrimp tempura comes with 5 pieces, whereas the other two come with 8. I enjoyed the rolls and was too hungry for pictures lol. Next time, I want to try the specialty rolls! read more

I've been here 2 times within the past month. I've had the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail sashimi. The pieces were so big, meaning that I've never received such big and tasty pieces. For the prices of $5-6 dollars for 2 per order, it was such a great deal. The J1 Roll was fresh with all the fish that I generally eat at any sushi place that I go to. The Vampire Roll was also good. I honestly ordered it because of the name. Both rolls were big and very fulfilling. All the workers were nice and friendly. This place is more of a takeout vibe, even though you can eat inside.
