The Monday deal of 50% off rolls was great, except that the rolls weren't that great. The Kamikaze rolls was super skinny and the salmon was so thin that it was probably less than a regular maki roll, which would be less than half the price. It looks good, most of the roll is filler and not not fish. The raw fish didn't taste fresh either. The service is was slow for getting our table started and our order ready. Maybe we came at an off time. It seems like the place to go if you just want some cheap sushi and the hibachi experience without thinking too much of quality. read more

Brought my son here for his first hibachi experience and it was okay. The food was great but the service could've been better. From the seating to the length of time that it took to place our initial order. The hibachi chef was great and the fact that the food was good, would make me come again. They also have "kids eat free" on Thursdays, so that doesn't hurt either. Overall, worth the money that was spent. read more

The food was good. We ordered a Volcano Paradise drink, and it was pretty much water. As soon as the waiter brought it out to us, we tried the drink. It was so watery omg! Went to the bar tender to see if they could accommodate the situation. It was a no go! I tried and tried. This was the worst part of our dinner. First time coming to Volcano Steak & Sushi and had a lovely time. The drinks, Mango Tea and Mango Milk Tea, were lovely. We ordered the pork and shrimp Shumai, Crab Rangoon, Mango Crunch Roll, Lobster Tempura, Manhattan Roll, and Yamo 2014 Roll. All were delicious. A family favorite! We have been coming here for a few years now and it's become a favorite. We love Jane and Fang's service. Everyone there is nice and friendly though. The chefs are all fun and have their own variations to the traditional hibachi tricks. The menu has remained the same, and I appreciate the reasonable kid's menu for those under 10yo. The food is always consistent. Sometimes there isn't anyone to make the bubble tea- but they tell you upfront. There's always someone celebrating a birthday there as it's great for celebrations. If you didn't know, Mondays = 50% off sushi rolls, so you already know I had to take advantage. My brother and I were both craving sushi, so this was the perfect spot. We started with appetizers: * Agadashi Tofu - Y'ALL. This tofu was fried to perfection--lightly crispy on the outside, soft and silky inside, and paired with a delicious tempura sauce (I think lol). Either way, 10/10!! * Shrimp & Veggie Tempura - Had a nice crisp, but I wish it was fried just a little longer. Still solid. 8.5/10. Now for the sushi! * Spicy Tuna Roll (added avocado) - Ehh, it was okay. The tuna was chopped nicely, but it lacked flavor and wasn't even spicy. 6/10. * Yami 2024 Roll - OMG, 10,000/10!!! This roll was everything. The seared smoked salmon + fried soft shell crab combo was straight-up magical. Smoky, savory, and that garlic sauce on top just tied it all together. If you go here, you HAVE to try it! * Scorpion King Roll (my brother's pick) - A good balance of shrimp and fried soft shell crab. Pretty tasty. 7/10. * Mango Tea w/ Lychee Boba - My brother said it was super sweet, so if you don't like drinks that are too sugary, ask them to tone it down. It's infused with jasmine tea, so it has a little floral taste too. We drove here for a birthday/graduation party. This place is like the sports bar of hibachi! HUGE area inside and a massive tv screen (which was tuned to Track & Field, awesome!). Our chef was amazing and quick witted, certainly said one of the funniest and most quick witted things I've heard from a hibachi chef. The meal was alright. My stomach was a bit upset after eating but typically seafood does that to me. However, the scallops I got were large and in charge! I also enjoyed their house saki. Made reservations, was there on time, was respectful and followed all their rules. There is a coupon on the website that says the birthday person is free with 5 meals. We had 3 separate checks of 5 each, they refused to honor the coupons. Not only did they not take one they took none. Next my aunt requested a drink and it was too sweet so she asked for it to be remade, they charged her for the drink she sent back and the new drink. Not huge things but enough for us to know they don't value or business. We didn't over $1000 there in n a dead night and they didn't honor their own coupons/policies and couldn't even make a 75 year old lady drink right and still charged her for it instead of fixing it. We came here to eat on a Monday for the 50% off sushi plus I had a gift card so we needed a reason to use the gift card anyway. Realized upon arrival that you actually can't use the gift card on 50% off days, but we stayed anyways since we were already there. Wait time was long to be seated which I already expected- about 30 minutes. But once seated, it took probably about 45 minutes-1 hour for all of our food to come out. Our server told us this is pretty normal for a Monday. For 50% off, the wait MIGHT be worth it if you're just going for a social outing with friends anyways, but I can't say I'd be back on a Monday again since it's a long wait for eating out with a baby for me. The sushi was just okay. I'm not sure if quality is less on Mondays since it's half priced or that's the same as the rest of the week. But I couldn't justify spending full price on these rolls. They aren't bad by any means, and I did enjoy my meal. But again, because I only paid half price for it. I do need to come here again to spend my gift cards, but without the gift cards or the 50% off, I don't think this is a restaurant I'd come to otherwise. I do like that they have a large selection of rolls though. There was plenty I wanted to try. They also have robots which deliver your meal- although we were confused if we were allowed to just grab our dishes directly off the robots ourselves. It's the first time I've actually seen robots delivering food in use, and it didn't go directly to our table so we weren't entirely sure it was our order. We waited for a few minutes to see if a server would come by, and when nobody did, we decided to just take the plates from the robot. When we did, a server did arrive and rushed over to our table (which made us wonder if we weren't supposed to grab our plates ourselves). Anyways, based on how crowded the place was, I can see that Volcano is pretty popular, so I may have the unpopular opinion. If the 50% prices were the normal prices, I could see myself coming back. First time here and it was pretty good. The fish steak chicken and shrimp were cooked very well. The vegetables were nice and fresh. The fried rice had a slight grill taste but nothing crazy. We also had steak fried dumplings they were good but the steak inside was like a meat ball but the sauce that came with it was great and they were fried well. It was clean inside and festive. I definitely would come back. Parking was good and we were sat quickly on a Friday night. Great place for a family dinner and party. I Came here the other day on a Wednesday for my daughters cousin birthday and it was nice , a cool hibachi spot to dine into an bring the kids . He was Turing 3 and we stopped here for dinner , we dined in at the hibachi table but , they also had regular seats . It was a Wednesday afternoon around 5:30 and about a good 15-20 people where there eating already so not to bad for a weekday din in dinner. The food was decent and they did the regular hibachi show , but I'm not to big on the hibachi cooking in front of you because by time the little show is finished the food is cold an most of the rice is gone because you already start to eat it before the meats , veggies , chicken or shrimps is ready so i give it a 7/10 for the food . My food was late so it was brought from the back the presentation was good and the proportion was even better. I was able to take some home { hibachi chicken and rice taste } 6/10 . Now when it comes down to the sever she was really nice and song happy birthday with the robot that also came out to sing which by the way is part of the ambience , robots bringing you your drinks, desserts and appetizers was pretty cool like i said it plays music and was sining happy birthday.
