My go-to order is the Assorted Katsu meal, and it's a winner for variety, flavor, and portion size. You get a couple of pieces of shrimp tempura, fish katsu, and pork & cheese katsu, plus the option to add a small side of udon or soba noodles. The fish katsu is light and flavorful, and the pork with cheese is a full-on cheese pull party. I also really enjoy their salad dressing and the dipping sauces that come with the donkatsu and fish katsu- they add a lot to the meal. As businesses begin to utilized social media, their customer base will be coming from whatever algorithm will afford. It did me because I saw this place on social media and since it's another katsu joint, it must be tried and suffice to say, it's not bad! This location is in the plaza that shares the new Sambong, Gopchang Salon, CowWow, and the BBQ Chicken place off L'ville-Suwanee Rd. If you hit the H-Mart, you've passed it as it's got one of the most unassuming signage you can create. Inside, is spacious. Looks to seat roughly 60-80 heads. It's well lit, has a very Japanese decor to the interior, yet still provides a decent amount of coziness to your table without it being too dark. Now for the food. Being that it's a katsu place, I had to go with their flagship entree, the Yumee Katsu and also pair it with a mini soba which let's me for real, I love how they do soba here. It's not dipping soba which I love. The soba sits in a cold broth of dashi, soy sauce, and mirin which they season with some cabbage and toasted sesame seeds. Now for the katsu itself. The katsu itself is thick. Thick and juicy which delivers an amazing porky flavor. It's also fried beautifully. The crust is crunchy, flaky, and evenly distributed over the pork meat. Yet the fried panko doesn't mask the flavor of the pork which some places tend to do so the panko pork ratio is simply perfect because you get the initial crunch but then the thick pork meat hits your teeth and it's a beautiful marriage of crunchy with the meaty tenderness of the pork protein. They give you their own katsu dipping sauce, some mini cubed radish, two cubes of radish kimchi, and on the plate, a heaping handful of sliced cabbage with a dressing drizzled on top which provides another textural dimension from the fried pork. The katsu plate is $15. Since I added the mini soba which was another $2 then tax and tip, you're looking at at about $20-$24 in order to eat here. Not bad. Definitely worth visiting for a casual hang or even a date and you don't want to do the normal Atlanta date scene and feel like grabbing something different. read more

We stopped in for an early lunch to take on more Katsu...this time, Korean-style Katsu! This is a Korean restaurant chain with their twist on the Japanese Katsu dishes. Frankly, I hated the website because it was strictly set in Korean...with too much busy Korean print. How is this going to be appealing to Americans? In any case, the place was sleek and stylish, but very casual at the same time. Their menu was also quite small...as this was a Katsu specialty restaurant. I tried their Tteokkbokki Katsu, and my husband got the standard Katsu plate. BTW, they had the Tonkatsu, Fish Katsu and Shrimp Katsu, but no Chicken Katsu...odd. We also added the Shrimp Katsu appetizer. Well, I personally loved it. The Katsu batter was SO crispy, and the meats were cut thin...just the way I liked it! Tteokbokki was a tad too spicy though. Not sure why they couldn't tone that down a bit? I had a hard time between 4 and 5 stars...but I'm going to drop 5 based on their stellar Katsu. Loved the convenient table ordering! I got the Yumee katsu with the udon! The katsu did come with lots of sides! I definitely enjoyed the cabbage salad the most. I thought the katsu was breaded well and it was crispy and the cuts were the perfect thickness. I do think their katsu sauce could've been more flavorful though. The udon with the set also could've been hotter. The soup was just lukewarm which I didn't enjoy as much. The service was friendly and they came to ask if we needed any refills! On the first visit, I ordered the curry udon set and the katsu is the freshest I've had in the area. Will be back to try other dishes because the food is delicious, quality, and the prices are affordable for me. Love those perfectly toothsome noodles! I've visited many other times, early for lunch before they get too crowded. Must say that this is the most tender, juicy, and flakey crispy dongas that I've had in Georgia so far. My favorite is the fried shrimp. Their citrus salad dressing is addictive. Their sides are unlimited so keep ordering as much as you like. Delicious Katsu! The fry on the breading was top notch. The katsu shrimp were a first for me and definitely something I will go back for more of. The cheese katsu was not really my style, but was as well made as the rest. The service was a bit slower than I would have expected for having a tablet ordering system but they are still a newer restaurant and it was a relaxed meal anyway. Yumee is a chain from Korea that just opened in Suwanee, as a part of the katsu craze that's been going around in ATL. Interior is nice and ordering was convenient as you order via the tablet. We tried the soba, curry katsu, and topokki katsu. My favorite was the refreshing summer soba that had amazing flavors! As for the katsu, its more on the bland side but loved the clean, non-greasy, tender, and crispy bites. It definitely needs sauce, curry, etc to help with the flavor but was still solid for the texture. The side of cabbage is a bit lackluster as the sauce had no flavor and wished it had more of a vinegar kick but loved the kkakdugi and radish sides to cleanse your palate. This is a fun spot. You are seated by a host but you order through a tablet at a table which is nice. This is a tonkatsu specialty place but they also have full size udon, soba and curry if you are not into the pork. If you are though... i highly recommend the cheese tonkatsu!! The cheese is ooey gooey and is inside a pork "bowl". The sauce served with it is very fresh and has a chunkier consistency the most tonkatsu sauce I have tried, texture reminded me of applesauce. The sauce is so good I wish they gave a little bit more. You can get a combo and the side choices are either a full or small size soba, udon or curry. I love the mini cold soba. Saw someone post about this new tonkatsu place on Instagram, so I had to check it out. I went for my favorite -- tonkatsu curry udon -- and it totally hit the spot. Since the Duluth location doesn't have a yelp, I'm posting this review here to find clarity. On 11/06/2025 we arrived at the Yumee Katsu location at 8:05. Upon entering, there were two occupied tables and nobody at the kiosk. As we were browsing the kiosk. One of the workers grabbed my attention to let me know they were cleaning the kitchen at the moment and would not be able to take our order for another 20 minutes. Odd... since they close at 9 and it was only 8:05. We said okay and sat down. As we were waiting for maybe around 5 minutes, the same worker told me that the kitchen was now closed. I was in confusion... you asked me to wait 20 minutes to order, but 5 minutes later your kitchen is closed? When I had asked why their kitchen was closed since online they close at 9, she told me that the kitchen closes at 8:15 (45 minutes before the posted hours of the store closing). So for clarity, I had asked why she would ask us to order 20 minutes later, but then close the kitchen at 8:10, she told me I could order now but they will close at 9. We told her we would be leaving and not coming back. Whoever the owner is needs to clarify kitchen closing times and restaurant closing times with the wait staff and kitchen crew. We will not be going back. There's other katsu places around the area who have an idea what time they close. read more

It was my first time at this restaurant. There's a kiosk in the front if you want to order take-out. Each table has a tablet that you can order. I was confused whether I should pay now or after I get my food (usually after in most restaurants except BBMyun). I clicked on the check button to see if there's a pay option and ended up calling a waitress over. She told me to pay now so I did but it was my first time having someone asking me for a tip when I did not receive the food yet. I was flabbergasted and thought should I just do a take out instead.
