We had to take a pic with the cow
    Lisa R.

This ice cream business is artsy and fun! Had to take a picture with my family in front of the cow. Large location, seating is inside and outside. Staff was friendly, knew lots about ice cream and offered if we wanted toppings. Art work on the walls looked lovingly displayed. Staff mentioned one may read the artist's bio as well, which is highlighted on front wall near the enterance. Fun time to celebrate my brother's birthday. I got flavor salted caramel ( I ate it so fast; so good I didn't get a picture). Ice cream is super delicious, although pricy; I got a small size. I definitely want to return. Cheers!~

Been coming here for years . This location, in particular and it's my favorite. The ice cream is always good. They switch up the flavors and always have samples to try. I stick to maple butter walnut or yogurt x, but, today I tried salted caramel cookies & cream. Soo good!!!! Service is always friendly, warm and welcoming.

Some of the best pumpkin ice cream I've had. They mixed it with Oreos which was surprisingly good. The price was expected but we did get to sample a few things thanks to the staff. Most options were written on the board. We just sat and ate after inside.

    Small sorbet ($6)

This place happened to be along the route of one of my morning runs, so after my work out, I stopped by for a sweet treat to replenish some glucose. The place was peaceful and empty in the morning around 9 when I went. For just over $6, I got a small sized, nondairy soft serve with watermelon and pink lemonade sorbet. It was very refreshing and perfect on a warm summer day! There were plenty of seats plus free WiFi, so I imagine it's a nice place to hang out or get some work done too!

Never disappoints. This was my first time getting a smoothie, cause I always get the maple butter walnut. Pretty good!

I visited with two of my friends on Friday afternoon. I was surprised by how many people there were given the current pandemic. The seats/tables were blocked off both inside and outside, which makes sense. I ordered one scoop that was half mint cookies and cream and half pistachio. My friend ordered one scoop of fresh banana ice cream. My other friend ordered one scoop of chocolate hazelnut ice cream. I really loved how fresh and flavorful the pistachio was! I think it tasted really yummy with the equally flavorful mint cookies and cream! This is definitely my new go-to-combo! My friends also raved about their fresh banana and chocolate hazelnut ice creams, so that's a great sign! The staff was friendly and efficient! The service was super quick, which was great because I wanted to get away from people ASAP haha. Overall, we had a great experience and LOVED our respective ice cream flavors! I think I'm gonna try the chocolate hazelnut next time we go!

Tons of seats indoors and out. Tasty ice cream treats and cool art. I was too full from dinner but took a pint and cones to go.

    Pandan in kiddie size

Are you really a Bostonian if you don't make JP licks a weekly ritual? We stopped by after visiting the Zoo lights on a Tuesday night around 10pm as it was one of the only dessert places open in JP (They close at midnight btw). I like this location in particular because of how spacious it is and how many outdoor seating tables there are, especially during Covid. There wasn't anyone else in the store with us so we felt pretty safe when ordering but they also labeled the floors to enforce social distancing pretty well here. They have the classic cookie dough, mint chip, vanilla, strawberry, etc flavors but love how JP licks also advertises their seasonal flavors - this time around was ube and pandan so we opted for these. I got a kiddie size for the pandan and my friend got a small ube. The total came out to a little over $10 which seems a bit high for me since I ordered a tiny little size! But anyways, the flavors were amazing, very creamy, very prominent ube / potato flavors coming through. It felt like I was eating the ice cream I had back in south east Asia!!! But honestly, both the pandan and Ube tasted to alike, I wish I ordered another flavor to switch it up a bit. Overall, JP licks is always a safe bet and is SO DELICIOUS AND CREAMY. This JP location isn't my favorite and I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this one in parotcilar just because it's so out of the way from where I live and the surrounding area is a bit meh but love that they're open so late and love the flavors overall!

Magic...Come for wine, and stay awhile!…read more Calling all wine lovers, and/or people who enjoy great wine. Jadu is a chic wine bar in Jamaica Plain that I had the privelege of checking out for the first time with friends. Located on the busy Centre street, this posh wine bar is something to talk about. Our server Alex gratiously mentioned some of their wine specials. We opted to stick to the menu, which had a lot to choose from. I recommend trying out a few different varietals, your palate will thank you :) I tried their Rose Pet-Nat which was phenomenal and everyone else had something different. Their menu is small, tapas style but yet so delicious and eloquent. We shared their Whipped Feta, Bread & Whipped Butter, Salad and Rice Pudding for dessert. Everything was spectacular! For 4 people we were full, but I could've stayed for more wine. There's never a dull moment when it comes to wine, right! I know that Boston has a ton of wine bars, but Jadu is something special. From the cozy ambiance to their fabulous and fun wine selections, it felt like I was in my own living room. And, maybe that is the vibe that are going for, but nevertheless they are worth a visit. Jadu means Magic in Hindi! Cheers~

I'd definitely come back to check that out. I tried the hot cocoa and the Maggi. The hot cocoa was delicious, rich and chocolatey without being overly thick or heavy. The Maggi had some really fun and unique ingredients, including avocado, and the tofu was especially well seasoned and flavorful. The only downside was the broth. It was labeled as a soup, but it felt incredibly watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting especially since I grew up eating maggi. The toppings and ingredients themselves were good, but the broth didn't quite bring everything together. My husband got the tuna salad bowl and enjoyed it.

The complex that Ula is in is super cute, there is typically plenty of parking. It's also right on the orange line, so there is easy access. Ample indoor and outdoor seating made getting a table a breeze. We ordered an iced coffee, iced latte, vegan burrito, and an Amort St sandwich. The Amory was really yummy, my partner enjoyed it. The coffees were pretty run-of-the-mill, nothing to write home about. The flavor in the latte was pretty weak. I added caramel to it as well, but it just tasted like milk; it's nice if the espresso taste or caramel flavor shines through, but it didn't deliver here. Fiore's and Third Cliff are still my go-to's for a good latte. While we waited for the burrito to come out, the chef came and told us he didn't have the necessary ingredients. He offered great replacements and made recommendations. He was super kind and honestly made our experience much better. Give that person a raise! Overall, good experience! Food was really good.
