    Nitro cold brew

Best Nitro cold brew in Boston! They tend to be out if you go in the afternoon, but it's worth making your way over to try it. Their iced coffee is also incredible as a backup. The vibes are extremely warm and welcoming.

I found this place because i desperately needed a bagel, and googled the nearest random cafe. Basically, i wasnt expecting much. At the first sip, i was genuinely shocked. They definitely dont use shitty coffee, there's no odd flavor like other random cafes i usually stumble upon. Everything in the bagel sandwich is made fresh, it's def not a frozen microwavable sandwich. The place has a very urban aesthetic to it, reminds me a lot of the spots in SF. It's monday morning and it's still pretty full, so I'm sure it's a popular spot. I'll be back

Nice cafe in Jamaica Plains. Tried the iced mocha that was very good and not overly sweet. It is made with a coconut based vegan ganache and you can taste the coconut. Seasonal syrups were rose and lavender.

Tried their seasonal New Orleans iced coffee made with chicory and it was so good. Nice and bitter like you would find at Blue Bottle. The chai scone was more like a biscuit but still very delicious. The chai frosting had such a nice spice to it. Lots of seating and a decent spot to work from with wifi and outlets.

Bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel

Hidden gem in Jamaica Plain-- definitely worth the trip! I ordered an iced latte with lavender flavoring, a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and an earl grey scone. The latte was good, nothing particularly memorable about it. Lavender flavor was pretty subtle. The bacon egg and cheese was great-- the egg was fluffy and the bacon portion was generous. The classic all-around breakfast sandwich! The earl grey scone was incredible! I would come back just for the scone. I was a bit hesitant about the idea of early grey in a scone, but it was a perfect subtle and smooth flavor. The texture and moisture was spot-on as well. Tried a bite of a friend's orange-cranberry scone as well, and it was delicious with a strong orange flavor.

    Roasted turkey ranch sandwich

Was in the JP area and wanted to try Ula! My partner and I got a roasted turkey ranch sandwich, curried chicken salad sandwich, coconut mojito scone, and hibiscus berry scone - TASTE: 5/5 - I thought the flavors were on point! The turkey sandwich was our favorite, w the satisfying bacon, sweet tomatoes, house buttermilk ranch, and bread itself. The curried chicken salad sandwich was a refreshing take on chicken salad, combined w the curry yogurt and red onion. The scones were amazing; so strong in their coconut and berry flavors respectively, and such a treat! TEXTURE: 4/5 - the sandwich toppings and toasted bread made for good contrast, and the scones weren't dry hehe PRICE: 4/5 - total came out to $39 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - would've preferred larger sandwiches but they, together w the scones, satisfied our lunch craving SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 12:15pm on a Saturday and waited in line for 5min at the counter. Not sure if it's always this busy; our sandwiches took ~15min ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - we could tell it's a local/family favorite and socially conscious business! Enjoyed the artwork on the walls, pay it forward options, and the diversity in ownership and patrons coming in and out. More indoor seating than I expected once you head toward the back section, and a cool location by the brewery PARKING: 5/5 - decent number of parking spots available in The Brewery plaza

Banana bread and iced London fog
    Alana K.

I came here with my friend on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm to grab drinks and a bite to eat. I ordered an iced London fog with almond milk and no syrup and a slice of banana bread. My friend ordered an iced latte and the chipotle chicken sandwich. I rarely see iced London fogs on the menu, so I was excited to order one. I was not let down; it was absolutely outstanding. The banana bread was good, too, and my friend said she enjoyed what she ordered. While there is no indoor seating, there are a couple tables outside. Even though we went fairly late in the afternoon, they were almost all taken. The staff here are friendly and helpful when making recommendations or talking about the menu. If I lived closer, I'm sure I'd be an Ula Cafe regular!

In the spirit of Juneteenth I looked up black owned businesses for breakfast in JP and found the amantándote beautiful cafe. My friend and I placed the order for pick. We had their burrito and iced coffee. I drove right in the the cafe and it was in a shell labeled "online orders" so I zipped in and out. The breakfast burrito was delicious, hand down one of the best I've had. The burrito included pico de Gallo, cheese, smashed avo and I ordered bacon as a topping. Can't recommend this place enough! Will def be back when I return from out of town.

When I think of JP, I think of Ula. Ula is Black-owned, woman-owned, and veteran-owned. They use organic and sustainable coffee and compostable packaging. Their walls are covered in artwork from the community, and the shelves are lined with books about diversity. I love their pay-it-forward system and I love their commitment to inclusivity. I always order an iced vanilla latte from here. This is one of the few coffee shops where you can order a large coffee and actually get your money's worth. I've tried a handful of their sandwiches, and the B is my favorite. The place is constantly busy, but I've never had a hard time finding a seat. They've even got a free parking lot! It's a great place to sit down and work, or to grab a coffee and go. If you're coming on foot, you'll probably have to traverse through a couple of lots until you find Ula, but it's worth the trip.

Magic...Come for wine, and stay awhile!…read more Calling all wine lovers, and/or people who enjoy great wine. Jadu is a chic wine bar in Jamaica Plain that I had the privelege of checking out for the first time with friends. Located on the busy Centre street, this posh wine bar is something to talk about. Our server Alex gratiously mentioned some of their wine specials. We opted to stick to the menu, which had a lot to choose from. I recommend trying out a few different varietals, your palate will thank you :) I tried their Rose Pet-Nat which was phenomenal and everyone else had something different. Their menu is small, tapas style but yet so delicious and eloquent. We shared their Whipped Feta, Bread & Whipped Butter, Salad and Rice Pudding for dessert. Everything was spectacular! For 4 people we were full, but I could've stayed for more wine. There's never a dull moment when it comes to wine, right! I know that Boston has a ton of wine bars, but Jadu is something special. From the cozy ambiance to their fabulous and fun wine selections, it felt like I was in my own living room. And, maybe that is the vibe that are going for, but nevertheless they are worth a visit. I'd definitely come back to check that out. I tried the hot cocoa and the Maggi. The hot cocoa was delicious, rich and chocolatey without being overly thick or heavy. The Maggi had some really fun and unique ingredients, including avocado, and the tofu was especially well seasoned and flavorful. The only downside was the broth. It was labeled as a soup, but it felt incredibly watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting especially since I grew up eating maggi. The toppings and ingredients themselves were good, but the broth didn't quite bring everything together. My husband got the tuna salad bowl and enjoyed it.

Basically it's your friendly neighborhood Netflix back when Netflix was mailing DVDs to people. $20/month for unlimited rentals, no more than 2 out at a time, and Kevin is quick to buy new movies as soon as they're available. They also have a mini private theater you can rent out for events like birthdays or to watch events like the Oscar's or Super Bowl. I haven't used that yet but it's cool to know it's there. It reminds me of what WF used to be back in the day, just much, much smaller. I have bought so many things there I never would have found elsewhere that have become staples. Pita bread, ice cream, breakfast meats, teas, chocolate, milk (of course), (surprisingly) great canned foods, marshmallows, niche snacks, APPLES, fair trade bananas that are the best I've had.
