I called Jose because my spa was draining down to pool level every evening. I knew it was a valve issue but I didn't know how to fix it. He came and it turned out that the valve was fine it just wasn't closing properly. He adjusted it and the problem is resolved. What I was most pleased with is that he was able to inform me that my spa actually has a fountain feature. I went online and bought a fountain nozzle and he came and installed it for me. My pool was aged and I needed plaster. Jose the owner of J pool service was recommended by a guy at Leslie's pools supply. He came in less expensive and didn't make me lose my tiles. Other companies said the process would damage them and I would need to replace them. These were tiles I really wanted to keep so I went with Jose. He has been wonderful. Plaster was beautiful and not a single tile damages. He has also done repairs on equipment and I even use him for weekly services. He's all in one a perfect package. He has been a blessing. Talk about great service! I got multiple quotes to get our pool repaired. (Our spa had cracked tile near the waterfall into the pool.) It was an extensive repair but Jesus made us feel confident that his team could get the job done in a timely manner with excellent quality. After seeing the spa repair taking place we decided to re-tile the entire pool, acid wash, and have the deck painted. They did an incredible job. If you live in the Henderson area or anywhere in Las Vegas and you're looking for pool service, a drain and cleaning, resurfacing, or a new installation...stop looking and call or text Jose Padilla ASAP! The quickest way to get a response is via text because he is always busy, but busy for a reason. Reputation, knowledge, quality of work, honesty, ethics, timeliness, and affordability. I was obviously in need of some "repairs" and text Jose on a Friday with a very quick call back. He came out that afternoon shared several options and helped to guide us through the process of making a decision with his vast industry knowledge. We had originally thought only to drain the pool, acid wash it and make repairs to some of the damage to the PebbleTec and there was no pressure from him to have it redone. However, due to the age of the pool and some other factors we discussed, we did decide to have it drained, demoed, and redone in a beautiful Laguna Blue. I had to leave out of town on Monday and had asked if there was any way to have all work completed and filled by my return on Friday, going into Memorial Day weekend. Jose said he would do everything he could to try and make it happen but couldn't 100% guarantee it as he had several other projects going on. Guess who jumped into a gorgeous new pool on Friday upon my return? The pool is brand new, under warranty, new plastic, new light, and Jose even provided some replacement parts for my filter housing at no charge as he discovered some damage that would cause it to not operate at full capacity. He even came back out Friday evening to add the appropriate chemicals for start up, as well as educate me on what I needed to purchase to test, add, and maintain the correct levels of chemicals. Jose replaced a diffuser and Impeller in one of my pool pumps and the motor on the other. The issue was with the motor he replaced. He charged me $650 to replaced the the motor and left the job and and had me pay before he actually ensured everything was working properly. When I got the system working it was leaking. I sent him a video within 24 hours. He told me that he would charge me an additional $580 to come out to fix it. I found some for $500 that came out and fixed everything the right way. read more

If we could provide a higher number of stars for the service we received, we would. We have been fighting with getting our pool heater repaired for two weeks. Two different other guys came out, and said it was a Southwest Gas problem. Southwest Gas came out, same day, and verified that all the gas was working. We called J Pool Service and explained the urgency (we had to have done to close on the house). They came out on the same day, and he would not take any money from us when the heater could not be repaired (heater is over twenty years old and was going to have to source a part). We called the next day to say, just replace the heater. He found us a used heater and had it installed by the next night. We can now close on the home. We are so glad our new home has a pool - because we will not go with anyone else. The old Hayward heater was over twenty years old, and had a bad valve. The new valves do not fit the same way - but they could have tried to modify it. Jose made all the effort with him and his guy. We got the repairs done, the heater is working and replaced, and less than what it would have cost for a new heater. The communication was exceptional. The follow-up was like the "old" days where folks actually show up and call you back when they say they will. J Pool Service (Ben and Jose) did an amazing job and knew all about different systems, the parts, had folks they could call to source outdated systems, and worked with us to get done in 48-hours, what is has been taking us over two-week to accomplish. read more

My pool pump failed. I was in a desperate situation. Jose answered his phone (glorious by itself), and came to evaluate my situation the same day (amazing). He had stock of what I needed (Leslie's did not). It was beyond belief, a person who planned ahead and was prepared for all of the supply issues. Instead of my pool turning green and inheriting all sorts of other problems related to no pump in this heat, I had a new pump working by the very next morning. All for less than what a pump would have cost me just to purchase in this supply crunch, much less purchase and have installed. He also included some much needed valve and pipe repair/replace. Jose could have gouged me for expedited service and for the part, instead he was more than fair. I called them to install a pool heater. Potentially thousands of dollars in the job from what I've read. They say they will come in the morning to check it out. Well by noon I haven't heard anything and I leave for work. A quarter after 12 they say they are on the way. I say my family is away but I left my gate open and he can look at everything in back. I see the guy on my ADT cams and talk to him through the mic. He says he needs to get into the breaker box (I have it locked). They never mentioned once that they needed access to anything. I obviously would have left it open. I apologize to the guy even though it was their mistake for not letting me know. He says he'll be back tomorrow. He never comes back. I text the owner twice and get no response. Nothing. I was going to give them the job just because they showed up and I don't feel like looking around, no matter what they were charging. I just wanted it done. I am so glad that I didn't because if this is how they do business, who knows what kind of mess they would've made. I'll take my thousands of dollars to one of the other 2 dozen guys that do this kind of work. I'd advise you do the same. read more

I took me 16 years to find a pool company here that I was completely happy with, but J Pool Service was worth the wait. Jose is a genuine good guy and his attention to detail is amazing. I don't think I've ever seen a guy as concerned about obtaining perfection in everything he and his workers do. The autofill mechanism on my pool broke off at the base and it took me weeks to find someone who could replace it. His workers completed that project and, when I asked if he could also replace the decking around the pool his crew did that too (and did an amazing job at it). Finally, I asked that they re-plaster the pool and replace the aging tile work and that task was just recently completed to perfection also. And, calling around, I found that his fees for all they did were right in the ball park. I don't know what else I could ask for. I consider him a role model for other business owners.
