    1/2 garlic-parmesan & 1/2 lemon-pepper wings with ranch fries.

I love wings. Here lately, I've developed a taste for garlic-parmesan wings. I heard J Wings had some amazing wings. So I went to try them tonight. Here was my order, a #2 (10 wings, fries and drink). I ordered all 10 wings as garlic-parmesan and my fries with ranch on them. Well, there was a miscommunication between the register and the kitchen. My wings came out 1/2 garlic-parmesan and 1/2 lemon-pepper. The birthday girl behind counter immediately offered to remake them but I was tired and ready to go home...and I like lemon-pepper anyway. Then the other girl behind the counter told me that "they be bussin'". I looked up "be bussin'" up on line and it means exceptional. I agree, they were exceptional. The lemon-pepper were far better than the garlic-parmesan. I'm definitely going back. Exceptional wings, good fries and friendly staff.

I had a terrible experience trying to call in a large wing order. I was ordering a 50 piece and only wanted 2 flavors, lemon pepper and honey mustard. The young lady on the phone insisted this wasn't possible. She said I had to order 3 flavors. No exceptions. After going back and forth with the rude lady, I hung up and decided to order directly at the restaurant. I simply divided the wings into a 30 piece and two 10 piece and got the two flavors I wanted. It was the same price as ordering a 50 piece. Problem solved without the rudeness. The wings and fries were hot, fresh, and delicious. The service was fast. The employee at the drive thru window was okay. However, the phone interaction with the rude worker didn't sit well with me. She could have easily accommodated my request.

First time at J Wings today! I had the 10pc traditional lemon pepper wings with cajun ranch fries! Very flavorful for both the wings and fries. The wings were kinda small so I will definitely get the 15pc next time haha! Staff was very friendly and there was limited parking since its connected to a gas station. Very reasonablypriced aswell! I will definitely be back next time I am in the area!

Customer service was great!! Wings had great flavor, got hot honey mustard as well as sweet and sour. Did not disappoint, will say wings are quite small....

Wings were smaller than a pinky... seriously. Fultondale fire sauce was like trying to eat BARE salt and vinegar at the same time. And the boneless wings are basically over cooked chicken tender chunks with the similar texture of rubber. Nothing is freshly cooked. I eat about 6 boneless pieces of the 15 and threw them away. I've had better wings from a gas station!! I wasted 27 dollars on this and I won't be back. They don't have prices on there canvas menu because the numbers are covered with black electrical tape so buyers beware..

Half hot garlic half swag (If I'm honest, wasn't a fan of swag flavor) fries were soooo good

Soooo good and they have some really good flavors to choose from. We didn't have to wait too long either. Drive thru customer service was good, he ensured our order was correct before coming to the window.

So... Wing wings wings. I live in fultondale and I am used to the usual outback, Chili's, waffle House, ect. But I live me some good, dirty (in a good way) food at the end if the day. I popped up yelp and stumbled across this place. Let me tell you... ITS WORTH IT. This is a cross between Buffalo wild wings and this diner called Sam's Super burger. I got the ranch fries and the hot boneless wings. They were wonderful. As you can see in the picture, they were good sized wings. Much bigger than Hooters wings. I got the Hot flavor, and they made you sweat in a good way. The fries are crinkle cut, which happens s mmto be my favorite. AND THE SWEET TEA IS SO SWEET. My wait was slightly longer, maybe 7 minutes. But my food was hot because it was fresh. Parking is fine. I love the wings and will be coming back

We walked up the street with a half dozen other diners. Wooden City is definitely not in the best part of BHM. Walking to the restaurant was a little sketchy, no need for a detailed description. Although we had reservations, the hostess looked at us like we had three eyes. She found a small table for us in the far back of the restaurant. No problem, at least we were seated. Our server greeted us quickly and went over the menu. We ordered drinks, blistered Hungarian peppers and a sausage and mushroom pizza. We told him that we were going to a concert and were on a little bit of a tight schedule. By the time our server checked on our food, the second time, we went from a little bit tight to full "gotta get out of here" mode. I guess the delay in getting our food was to give the kitchen time to burn our pizza. Over half of the thick, chewy crust was inedible. The bottom of the pie didn't fare much better. The peppers, on the other hand, were amazing. (not so much so at 2 am but that's just me!) They are a do not miss. We were at least able to settle our bill quickly and made it to the concert with time to spare. Overall, would we go back? Only if in the area - those peppers were amazing. Still, I definitely would not make a special trip.

Let's start with the appetizer: Parmesan-crusted spinach dip with these soft, fried pita pieces. Not chips. Not crunchy. These were warm, fluffy, little clouds of joy. I almost canceled my entrée and just committed to a life with that dip. Then came the star of the show -- the Parmesan-crusted lamb chops. BABY. When I tell you these things were seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there guarding the recipe... I mean it. Crispy, cheesy, juicy perfection. Why are these not on the menu year-round?? LongHorn, I need answers. This is a public service issue at this point. And because I clearly make great life decisions, I got not one but TWO sides of Brussels sprouts drenched in this honey sauce. Sweet, savory, slightly crispy... I felt like I was eating vegetables but also like I was cheating on my diet at the same time. Elite behavior. Of course, I tried to be responsible and got a salad with ranch. You know... for balance. Health. Wellness. Overall review: 10/10, no notes, except GIVE ME MY LAMB CHOPS ALL YEAR LONG. I will be back, and I will not be acting civilized.

Parking is primarily street parking in the area, but there is also a public parking deck nearby. I'm unsure what the current cost is for the deck, but it's worth knowing if you're visiting during a busier time. I ordered the fish tacos with black beans and chose the cheese grits as my second side. Everything tasted fresh and had lots of flavor. The real star of the meal, though, was the sweet potato cake. It was incredibly moist and delicious. Honestly, I could've eaten four of them without shame or hesitation. My colleagues ordered burgers and fries. They both really enjoyed their burgers, but neither cared much for the fries. They had also requested a couple additional items after the food arrived, but those items never made it to the table. The decor is bright and fun, though it didn't quite seem to match the style of food being served. Just my personal observation. They also have a robot that helps deliver the food alongside the servers, which felt a little unexpected for the casual atmosphere and southern comfort food vibe. They were fairly busy since it was lunchtime on a Friday, but the wait really wasn't bad at all. Would I go back? Yes. Was it my absolute favorite? No. But there were definitely things I enjoyed, especially that sweet potato cake that nearly made me consider ordering dessert first next time.

Several appetizers came out cold; we politely sent them back, and they returned hot. No issue there. I ordered a New York Strip cooked medium, with fries, a side of ranch, and a Caesar salad. When my steak arrived, it was not medium -- it was rubbery and very well done. I calmly asked for it to be remade and reassured the server that I understood it wasn't her fault. While waiting for the replacement, I asked -- very politely -- what happened to the salad that never came out. Her response was shocking. She said, "Y'all kept adding people. I have to make the salads, so I can't stop and make your salad." The tone was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I replied, "Okay, can I just get everything together then?" She responded, "I don't know," with visible attitude and absolutely no apology. When the replacement steak arrived, unbelievably, it was once again well done instead of medium. I showed it to her directly. At that point, I asked for a manager. She casually said, "Sure," but no manager ever came. After waiting, I had to get up and find the manager myself. I explained that this was the rudest, nastiest, most unprofessional service I have ever experienced in my life. Thankfully, the manager handled the situation appropriately, apologized, and had the food remade correctly. The manager was wonderful -- attentive, professional, and solution-focused. The contrast was astonishing: one of the best managers I've encountered paired with easily the worst server experience in history. What should have been an enjoyable meal turned into a shocking display of poor service and disregard for basic professionalism.l
