I finally made my way to LongHorn Steakhouse yesterday, and listen... I was NOT prepared for the level of happiness that hit my soul. Let's start with the appetizer: Parmesan-crusted spinach dip with these soft, fried pita pieces. Not chips. Not crunchy. These were warm, fluffy, little clouds of joy. I almost canceled my entrée and just committed to a life with that dip. Then came the star of the show -- the Parmesan-crusted lamb chops. BABY. When I tell you these things were seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there guarding the recipe... I mean it. Crispy, cheesy, juicy perfection. Why are these not on the menu year-round?? LongHorn, I need answers. This is a public service issue at this point. And because I clearly make great life decisions, I got not one but TWO sides of Brussels sprouts drenched in this honey sauce. Sweet, savory, slightly crispy... I felt like I was eating vegetables but also like I was cheating on my diet at the same time. Elite behavior. Of course, I tried to be responsible and got a salad with ranch. You know... for balance. Health. Wellness. Overall review: 10/10, no notes, except GIVE ME MY LAMB CHOPS ALL YEAR LONG. We arrived at 1 pm. The restaurant was moderately busy. Our server was Quay (not sure of spelling). The well done steak my friend ordered was burnt, I had the lunch soup and salad, shrimp and lobster bisque was mediocre. Quay wasn't an attentive server but was very polite and pleasant. read more

We ate here, with our friends, on Easter Sunday around 11:15 AM.. We were able to get right in using the app for "call ahead seating". Our service was great. Salads were fresh and the bread was hot and fresh. My steak was perfectly cooked as ordered. Baked potato was great too. No complaints on this visit. All of us enjoyed our meal. read more

There was no wait when we walked in, which was great. However, it did seem like they were short-staffed, so service was a bit slow. The food was good as expected once it finally came out, and the restaurant was pretty busy overall. It was an okay visit -- not bad, just could've been a little quicker. read more

Yelp! It's the middle of the day and we got a 20-25 min wait. Cause, they only got 3 servers and it's lunchtime. LONGHORN IN GARDENDALE IS HIRING, note the stars. Although we had a long wait, the food and service was epic. Let me start with the best server in the house, Brendlee. I might be spelling it wrong, but I love this name. So sweet, accommodating and attentive with a big smile on her face. Girl, I love it. Never let them see you sweat. No attitude! No blowing. Just, "can I get you anything else", sure, get me the manager. Yes I did, cause there is one here that knows how to give the people what they want but, MS BRENDLEE. Thank you girl! Oh, Im here for this food. My Bae got my favorite, pork chops with mashed potatoes and a side salad. Looks delish. I got this delicious fried chicken sandwich with fries and a strawberry pecan salad. Placed order online for asap around 3:15pm and they said I wouldn't get it until 4:15. Tried to call several times while driving there and couldn't get an answer. When I got an answer the person said I was on the phone with someone else so that's why you didn't get an answer in a not so nice way. No apologies for the delay and made it seem like it was my fault and I should have known that it would take that long. And after the call it still took 45 minutes to get the food even though she said she would put the order in. When the time past and I got out the car they finally brought the food. When I got home I realized the steak was medium well not medium and even the tea was unsweetened not sweetened tea that I ordered. When I called back to report wanting a replacement tea tomorrow Ariel said I can get it with my next purchase. I said no not my next purchase I will come by tomorrow. I couldn't complain about the steak since I couldn't come back today and had to eat it. So besides the terrible delay in food service and the messed up order; the rudeness left a lot to be desired. read more

Lots of steak houses these days but this one in Gardendale is my favorite. Steaks are always consistently good, service is always prompt and efficient and its a great environment for a business meeting. I highly recommend and give it a full five stars and big Roll Tide! read more

We visited this location in hopes of celebrating a birthday dinner. The server first brought out old hard bread. Our non alcoholic drinks were incorrect. The alcoholic drinks were an hour late and also incorrect. We never recieved refill on the Waters. At some point the server disappeared. The manager said she had an emergency and had to leave. We never received our entrees or all the appetizers. It wasn't a pleasant evening to say the least. Maybe a different location will be better. read more

We checked in online so not a long wait at all. Got seated within 20 minutes or less. Busy night being Valentines but we had a great server, Brittany and she was kind and got our order correct. The steak was cooked medium well as instructed and all of it tasted great and hubs got the same thing except fries and his was great too! We def recommend them for their great food! Food was pretty good. Came out fresh. I ordered the 7 oz salmon, was a teeny bit dry. But my loaded potato was good. My mom had the NY strip which was cooked just the way she wanted and she enjoyed it. Service was so so, nothing to really rave about. But the dining room was nice and clean. Not too loud. This was the first time my husband and I have dined at LongHorns in Gardendale. We were not disappointed! Steaks cooked perfectly and their spinach dip was to die for! Best part was our server! A quick 10 minute walk from our Microtel crib. Vegetarian mac and cheese, broccoli, French onion soup, and a Caesar salad. We know what we like. plus longhorn old fashioned to wash it down. The bar service was excellent, just like our PCB Longhorn. The ambiance not quite as cosy and nice as our PCB. The food was good but again PCB you are rocking it. We had the Ribeye steaks, asparagus, loaded bake potato, and mash potatoes. My steak was juicy but warm and my hubby's cowboy steak was to rare which me ask for medium- rare. The bake loaded bake potatoe and mash potatoes was hot and good. The aparagus was disgusting and had some red seasoning on it. They remade it but we was walking out. Out to lunch with my mom and she wanted some spinach dip . This is the only place in the area with delicious spinach dip . The waitress Brinley I think was her name. Was very friendly and attentive to our needs . We ordered from the lunch menu. Food came out hot and delicious. The place was crowded for lunch but still clean and the waitress never neglected us. I had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I couldn't eat all of it at once . So big . Yes I will return soon . Very good food. read more

This has to be the absolute worst longhorn in the state of Alabama! Went in tonight around 8:50 pm to place a take out order and was told they had no more slots for takeout orders! That was a new one for me lol ! Guess I should have got seared and placed the order and asked for to go boxes. This is not the first incident I've had at this longhorn. This is the only longhorn that I ever have problems with definitely won't ever go back! They need to close it down and send everyone to be retrained! Order sirloin medium cut it and it was rare. Sent it back asked to get to go because we were there an hour already. How does a Steakhouse screw up a burger so bad? First it was overcooked, dry and extremely salty. You could hardly see the burger under the bun. It was made like a smash burger. Thin and small all bun. The burger sauce was absolutely disgusting. I do not know what they put in it I swear it tasted like someone spit on my burger. Also you need to check your plastic bottles of ketchup and mustard. I was given a mustard so old it was rancid it wasn't even the right color of yellow. I was sick after seeing it. You have made it where I will never go back to any Longhorn in any state. I felt targeted after I sent the burger back. It looked like I got the same burger back with a half of piece of burger slapped on top. Shame on your cooks for doing that. Unlike Longhorn, my meal wasn't good. I had pork Chops and a baked potato. The meat was tough, like it was hard to chew. I told the server and she offered me something else, but I didn't want anything else. She didn't charge me for it. But Longhorn is stellar in service and food. So that day was off. My wife and I were seated quickly. Tacey, our server, was at our table very quickly. Wife ordered a salad with fried chicken. I ordered a ribeye (12Oz) with salad and baked potato. Bread, salad and drinks were out quickly. 45 minutes later our food came out. Tacey told us they were short staffed in the kitchen. Wife's salad was wrong and had to be re-made. Service, very questionable. Made reservation to celebrate sisters' birthday. Reservation confirmed by employee earlier in the day. Upon arrival the hostess stated we would have at least an hour wait...birthday cake in hand... no celebration. We are on a road trip, and we stopped here to eat. We have three kids. It was a great place for us to eat. The service was excellent and personal. I thought that the food was cooked really well. I got the strip steak with crispy brussels sprouts, the kids got the mac & cheese and french fries and they like that. My wife got some shrimp and enjoyed hers as well. Highly recommended! read more

Not at all impressed. This was my first visit to any LongHorn restaurant and since this was new in our area, I decided to give it a try. We arrived around 12:30 p.m. and had a 10 minute wait (not too bad). We got to the table and ordered water for our drinks and an appetizer (spicy chicken bites). We asked for a side of ranch dressing, just in case it was too spicy. The waitress (Rebecca) said she would be bringing us some bread as well. After about 10 minutes, she returned with the appetizer and water (no ranch dressing or bread). I thought I would catch her on her next time passing our table. We didnt see her again for 30 minutes. During this time we sampled the chicken bites which were very good, but did have a bit of a spicy kick. I ended up drinking all of my water but no one came around with refills. Most of the lunch crowd had cleared out by this time and we were still waiting for our food. Finally another waitress brings over one baked potato and a bowl of potato soup (but no spoon). A couple of minutes later, they bring the rest of our food (but still no bread or ranch dressing). So I start asking for everything we needed (bread, steak sauce, more water, soup spoon) since I didnt know if we would see them again. I had to request the bread 3 times before we got any. As for the food, I ordered an 8 oz. Renegade sirloin which was just ok, nothing special, no special flavors or seasonings. Honestly Ive made better for myself at home. The loaded baked potato was good but kind of light on the toppings. I didnt like the salad at all because I prefer iceberg lettuce and this was Romaine lettuce. The pieces were too large to fit into my mouth and I had to cut each piece so I gave up and didnt finish it. The bread was bland, no flavor in it either. My granddaughter liked the potato soup very much but wasnt crazy about the shrimp and rice. She said the seasonings on it were off too. My other granddaughter got the 1/2 pound hamburger and was very pleased with it. All in all, it was an ok visit but nothing to make me want to return.
