Airport themed restaurant with lots of airplane, military, and items on display. Patio give you the feeling your eating under an airplane wing. Great view of the airport, ability to watch planes take off and land. Either order at self-service terminal on bar or with individual behind bar. Food brought to table. I had the Warthog, it was a little messy, but well worth the napkins. My wife had the Chicken Salad sandwich and really liked it. We'll definitely go back, they close at 3:00, and not open on weekends. Open at 6:30 every morning for breakfast. Really a hidden jewel in Birmingham dinning. They normally aren't open on a Saturday, so we took advantage and brought the kids over on one of these rare occasions so they could have the opportunity to watch the flights land and take off from the restaurant. They definitely have a great spot to watch and our kids loved it. The food itself was fairly good. I liked the burger with the brisket the best. My wife and I got two different burgers and split them so we could try several options. The other burger was the one with the mac and cheese. I liked it, but the brisket won the day. The mac and cheese side though was better than the mac and cheese on the burger and it was a great side to try as it had a good flavor - not something all burger places can say. I'd definitely come back, but make sure you look up flight times to try and time it to watch the flights if possible! read more

I haas lunch here last Friday with two coworkers. It was a nice day, so the patio was full of families letting their children watch the planes take off. We placed our orders at the kiosk and then sat outside to wait for our food. Which was quite a while... an easy 15 minutes or more. Once our food arrived it was pretty unimpressive. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries weren't my favorite. They were like thin steak cut fries. The chicken sandwich was pretty dry, so a long wait for mediocre food. My mom was in town for a visit, and we needed a quick bite to eat before her flight. We stopped in Alpha Charlie and it was such a good decision. The service was great, and the food was good too! The space is so cool and unique. There are fun facts around the restaurant and airplane parts as furniture. We had burgers and even tried the cinnamon covered pork rinds. (They were handing these out free) everything was amazing! We can't wait to return! My only complaint was the temperature inside. There was no a/c and it was a very hot summer day. I normally take pictures of the food for my review, but this time I forgot. I ordered a chicken omelet with bell pepper and American cheese. The omelet was so good that when I thought about taking a picture, it was already gone LOL. Honestly one of the best omelets I've had in my life, and I know my eggs! The atmosphere was one of a kid. The restaurant overlooks the Birmingham Airport, so you can planes land and takeoff while eating. You can tell the owner put time and thought into the patio area. It was very unique. Four stars are for the location. On a recent visit here, my friend and I stopped here for breakfast. For two omelets with cheese grits, one order of toast and two drinks, we spent nearly $40. The food was average at best, and some items listed on a menu I viewed online were not available or the menu had not been updated. Service was good and as we sat, our food was brought to our table. The grits came out way before the omelet and the cheese never really melted. While this was neither the best nor worst food I've eaten, the views of the airport were unmatched. I watched several small jets and several commercial flights take off. We opted to sit outside and brave the summer bugs. I want to go back just for the view and to try the lunch menu. read more

We heard about this spot on social media and decided to give it a try. It has a very cute atmosphere with the airplane theme which is perfect being located behind the airport. The food was good which we had the wings and Philly sandwich...my favorite were the fries. It was nice to sit in the outdoor area and watch the planes. My mom and I went to ACG for lunch during the week. It was a little crowded, but it wasn't too bad. You order at the counter and they will bring your food out to you. We dined inside but there is also a covered patio. I loved the patio space because you could really see the airplanes taking off. Love the strategic placement of this restaurant! You can see the airplanes inside as well. It really adds to the experience. My mom and I both enjoyed our food selections. I had the JP dice dogs and fries. This place is right behind the the air field for our airport. It was raining so it spoiled the view. Nice older look inside but whimsical because it's based on air flight, tables and chairs are also barrack like. I ordered a cheese burger, fries and drink came with it. We ordered off the kiddy menu lol and it was a nice side burger with ample fried. Parking was ok. I will return as I have wanted to get there for a while. Great spot that I'd never heard of until my niece suggested we try it out. It didn't disappoint. Huge windows with views of airport runways. Memorabilia on walls of Air National Guard troops and airplane parts. I had the hot dog which was two huge dogs. My niece had the Rueben which she could only eat half it was so big. As a corporate pilot I travel often. This place is a hidden gem. The eggs were super fresh and cooked perfectly. The biscuit was huge, moist, flaky. The grits were loaded with butter and outstanding. I've been wanting to try this new spot for some time, but initially their hours just didn't work for me as they closed around 2pm. Now, they remain open until 6:30pm. Today I tried the honey hot wings with fries; let me just say, those fries are a MUST TRY. Seasoned to perfection; the wings were different for me.... not bad, more a hickory taste, but I'm sure others would enjoy. I like a little heat so I'd try buffalo hot next time. The staff were so kind. The lady who took my order was sweet. The other lady was tidying up the area. When I inquired about Yelp, she was unsure what I was referring to, I love bragging on this platform as it is helpful for others when considering trying a new spot.
