Absolutely amazing! We wandered in not knowing what to expect and were greeted by an extremely affable gentleman who turned out to also be Jesse, he owner of the shop. We did a tasting of the in-house roasted coffee and had a great time. We loved all three of the coffees we tasted however, we purchased our favorite, the Guatemala FTO. Jesse really took the time to explain the optimum process in brewing a cup of coffee and the different ways of doing so. It shouldn't be hard to understand freshly roasted coffee should taste better and it's neat that J5 is a small enough operation to always provide the freshest. The shop has a lot of interesting coffee/espresso gizmos and gadgets that are for purchase. The shop is a beautiful boutique and a great place to stop in on your next visit to town. read more

Cool coffee shop that makes everything in small batches or to order. I had coffee made from the Aeropress and it was great, good full flavor, not watered down or too strong. Only reason I gave a 4 star is they made my wife's drink way before mine so she actually finished it before mine was even made. They were busy and mine takes longer to make, so I get it, could have just been planned little better. We would definitely recommend this place to others though. read more

This is a genuine coffee nerd experience. The owner/barista knows coffee to a science and is great at interpreting what goes into a solid espresso. J5 is a welcome departure from the faux Bavarian thing in Leavenworth. A lot of thought went into both drinks he made for us, my mocha was outstanding. read more

I would never go to Starbucks in Leavenworth knowing this place is around. Great, simple coffee. It is made the way it should be. I have lattes with Almond milk, and they use the best kind: Califia Farms. YES! Aint no complaints here. :) Cute hipster-y-ish decor. There are fancy coffee and coffee gadgets for purchase as well. Knowledgeable and friendly owner. He seems to know his shi* about coffee. And gives more shi*s about making it right. read more

I ordered an iced latte that tasted great, the flavor of the espresso was amazing! The only thing lacking was That they didn't have many flavors to add to their lattes besides the usual mochas and vanilla.
