Grabbed a cappuccino and mocha to go--both were really good, but I especially loved the cappuccino. Smooth, well-balanced, and just the way I like it. The place itself is adorable. It's a shop + coffee combo with tons of cute items that had me wanting to browse way longer than planned. Perfect little stop if you're in town and want good coffee with some charm on the side.

Friendly and quick service. Just off the Main Street in Leavenworth. I tried the spiced apple cider with Topo Chico sparkling water. A fun alternative for a refreshing iced drink in the summertime.

It was about a 5-10 minute wait to order on a Saturday afternoon. The interior is super cute with merchandise for sale. Unfortunately there isn't indoor seating. I ordered a small iced bourbon maple latte. It wasn't too sweet and the maple flavor was great. I'd come back and order the same thing in the future.

This shop feels artisanal which was a delight. There are a lot of really fun gifts on the shelves. I purchased guava and passionfruit chocolate bars. They were pretty good. I got a mocha and it was pretty good but not as rich or dark as I hoped for. A bit too sweet. The two baristas were cute which restored my faith in attractive young adult men existing. They were nice and very helpful. Worth the stop in. Parking can be a bit hard to find. They have a good amount of latte flavors too.

So my friends and I discovered this place while on a weekend trip to Leavenworth and we probably went here 5 times in 3 days. Fantastic coffee, great style, super friendly service. This is probably one of the top coffee shops I've been to anywhere in the world and they would easily be a top destination in any major city. If you are passing through Leavenworth you definitely need to stop here. read more

Really warm atmosphere, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The coffee was delicious and a decent price. The store had very cool unique things for sale that would make great presents for coffee lovers. I was discussing to one of the employees where I was from and he knew 3 different coffee places that were similar that were right up the street from where I lived that he recommended. Make sure you check this place next time you are in Leavenworth. read more

Great coffee, friendly and family owned. Yes, it's superior to Starbucks and I'm a Gold card carrying Starbuck long time customer. Seek this place out for a great cup of coffee. I had a cappachino that wasn't on the menu but they were happy to accommodate. read more

Great coffee here! Don't waste your time at "the enemy" who sold our Sonics to an out of state buyer because he didn't get his way....sorry...still alittle sensitive. Anyway, really good iced mochas and atmosphere. Well worth the short walk off the beaten path. read more

I have not had the pleasure of going to J5 in person, but I was gifted a big of their dark roast and it is very tasty! The beans are incredibly rich and are the makings of a delicious French press. They roast their own beans which is fantastic. I would highly recommend their coffee to anyone. read more

This has become a must stop at every time we come through leavenworth. The coffee here is way better than Starbucks and is extremely well priced. The owner is very nice and friendly and they have a great selection of coffee brewing supplies and assorted coffee related paraphernalia. Great place to go! read more

We just got back from a trip to Leavenworth and my main regret is forgetting to buy beans from this place. The owner is a really friendly and knowledgeable coffee geek and the coffee here is some of the best I've ever had. You can tell they really care about their business and making really good coffee. We stopped in here every morning during our stay, as we Seattleites call it, "east of the mountains". As good as it gets americanos, we were extremely pleased with not only the coffee, but the owner/staff, decor and open feel. I loved the products they carry and probably would have bought more Joco cups if I didn't already have three at home. Lovely experience, perfect way to start our busy, adventurous days. We will definitely be back when in Leavenworth on passing through on Hwy 2. read more

Looking for some caffeine before the ride back to Portland, I happened to walk into this place. Ending up staying for a solid half hour, chatting about coffee. Nice to see something cool and original in a town primarily built on BS (sorry Leavenworth, I still think your climbing is fun!). The owner was a really awesome, friendly dude who you can tell is super passionate about coffee. My buddy and I bought a couple of delicious pour-overs of various bean varieties and I also ended up taking home an Aeropress. I appreciate being able to have access to good coffee when I'm away from Portland, and this place is definitely now on my list of stops whenever I come through Leavenworth. Would love for them to get an espresso machine so i can enjoy a macchiato. But in the meantime, do stop in for a pour-over. Keep up the good work my friend! read more

Such a breath of fresh air from all the touristy places all over downtown Leavenworth. This has a big city style with small town friendliness from the owner. The freshly roasted coffee is amazing, and the non-coffee items are made in socially responsible settings. Go here every time you come to Leavenworth! And you can order it online! read more

Nice little place to stop and get a pick me up. I enjoy being able to taste the espresso in a good cup of coffee and this place delivered. I had an 8oz and it came with two shots as the default which was refreshing as usually this is an extra charge at most shops. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Would highly recommend. read more

This is a must when you visit Leavenworth. They brew a delicious cup of coffee. Their roasted coffee beans are simply the best. Also, they can make just about any kind of iced coffee or tea drink you want. We bought a bag of coffee and loved it. We are looking into having another bag shipped to our home. read more

Great place with friendly staff excellent customer service and awesome coffee, what more could you ask for. I did an iced coffee with stevia white chocolate powder and almond milk and it was delicious. I was only passing through Leavenworth but we made a point to go twice and itd definitely be my go to coffee place if I lived around there. 5 stars for coffee and personality in Leavenworth- a nice breath of fresh air after walking around town for a few minutes during a road trip east... we weren't expecting the tourist trap that is Leavenworth when we stopped for a break to stretch our legs and get some coffee. The shop is clean, simple, neat, and modern, and the owner welcoming but not overwhelming. Small batches of beans roasted by the owner, who is extremely friendly, professional, and quick to strike up a low-key conversation about the town, where to get lunch, and coffee. The medium-roasted Guatemala beans had a lot of deep fruit and chocolate notes, and extremely well-balanced. For the record, I normally drink my coffee (Stumptown or 7 Coffee Roasters in Seattle) black as long as it is well-roasted/prepared, which this was--- not some dinky espresso stand quality coffee, but the real deal. Please support them, they are good honest roasters that pour a great cup of coffee. read more

Its not just the best coffee in Leavenworth, but some of the best you will find anywhere. Roasted in small batches by the owners and served in the store with such a warm personal touch. This year they got a new espresso machine so they can make just about anything you want. They even offered to ship us some of their coffee that they were out of at the time. If you love really good coffee forget Starbucks and go here. 5 stars is not enough. read more

Established in 2013.

In September of 2013 J5 opened the Leavenworth location, primarily offering coffee tastings and selling our freshly roasted, whole bean coffee. The storefront also provide the opportunity to display a variety of coffee brewing equipment and coffee related items. In 2014 we launched our Espresso Bar; allowing us to serve a full range of espresso based drinks, while still continuing to offer freshly roasted coffee beans and related items.

Meet the Business Owner: Jesse and Courtney W.

A long time resident of Leavenworth WA, Jesse turned a personal hobby of coffee roasting into a growing business. Courtney grew up in Leavenworth, dreaming of opening a coffee shop in the Upper Valley. She has a serious love for espresso and a great eye for curating unique retail goods. Together they started J5 to supply the region with freshly roasted coffee, hand-made espresso and coffee drinks, along with coffee brewing equipment and education.

I didn't want a full breakfast, I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and Bavarian Bagel was exactly what I needed. The menu features a ton of bagel breakfast sandwich options, probably a dozen different kinds of bagels, and maybe 8-10 different cream cheese spreads. I went simple - a rosemary and sea salt bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. Toasted. It was the perfect amount toasted - crunchy enough to make eating it easy, not over toasted to the point there was no softness left in the bagel. They were fairly busy, but I had my bagel order within 4-5 minutes of ordering. I overheard the cashier telling someone else that they're usually sold out of everything by 11 or 11:30 every day, so if you have a bagel on your mind, definitely go on the earlier side! There is limited seating - a small bar and maybe a table with chairs inside, and a few more tables and chairs outside, so be prepared to take your order to go.

They had two small tables but it's a busy spot, so I'd plan to get these to go. They are pretty easy to transport and wrapped well. Grab some napkins and eat them somewhere gorgeous! Will definitely be back, and might try to recreate some of these menu items at home-yum! Kind staff and some street parking out front- no harder than the rest of town. Remember to register for parking even in the free 15 min because there are patrols out a lot.

The moment you walk in you are greeted by the cutest "gingerbread house" with gingerbread houses adoring the opposite wall that leads into the shop. The cookie was thick, soft, and flavorful. The vanilla frosting was fresh and delicious. They reminded me of those pink sugar cookies you get at the grocery store but 10x better. Service was quick and prompt. We opted to take our cookies to go but there was some seating if you wanted to stay.

We visited Schocolat after it was recommended by a friend who lives locally and enjoys fine wine…read moreand food. The service was friendly and helpful. Our friend gifted us a box. The chocolate was excellent. The exterior is very high quality and the fillings were rich and fresh. The chocolates are not cheap but definitely with it for a special treat.
