What a cute little place! The inside was all wood and decorated with the cutest gingerbread houses. They had such an amazing variety of sweets. Plenty of gingerbread options, of course, but lots of other options as well! I wish I could've bought one of everything, it all looked so good! The prices were reasonable and the workers were friendly. I just bought a cupcake and it was delicious but I can't speak to their food. I don't have any reason to think it wouldn't be just as good!
Bakery heaven! My mom said to stop by this place for the best sugar cookies in Leavenworth and I agree. We got a gluten free sugar cookie and a vanilla one. The cookie was thick, soft, and flavorful. The vanilla frosting was fresh and delicious. They reminded me of those pink sugar cookies you get at the grocery store but 10x better. Service was quick and prompt. We opted to take our cookies to go but there was some seating if you wanted to stay.

The lobby is cute with a cabinet of decorated gingerbread houses. I don't like tons of frosting so I opted for a naked gingerbread man and a gingerbread loaf. The naked gingerbread man was too soft for my taste and the gingerbread loaf was dry that I could not finish it. I thought the service was rushed; the persons behind the counter were only concerned in ringing up your order. They did not have patience in answering questions.

We visited the bakery early before it got busy and took out time exploring the bakery. I'm not going to lie, I really wanted to order one of everything! We did finally decide and ordered- Biscoff Chocolate Chip Cookie, chocolate chip cookie and German chocolate cookie. I couldn't tell you which one was my favorite as they were all so delicious! I also enjoyed a maple cinnamon coffee which perfectly complimented my cookies! Great service and delicious desserts.. I'm a fan!!!

This was my first time visiting Leavenworth -- the charming little Bavarian village tucked away in the backcountry of Washington! Walking down the town's main road, Gingerbread Factory is one of the first whimsical storefronts that catches your eye. The owners also run Andreas Keller, the popular German restaurant just downstairs. The bakery has been around since 1988 and got a fresh remodel in 2011! The moment you step inside, you're transported to a storybook scene -- think fairytale cottage vibes with a faux tree, ornate wooden window frames, and cozy indoor picnic tables. The back room houses the main bakery counter, along with gingerbread houses, themed merchandise, and treats lining the walls. They offer cookies, cupcakes, croissants, ice cream, and more! - Coffee Chip Ice Cream -- one of my all-time favorite flavors, with bold espresso notes and rich chocolate chips. My family and I ended up playing a round of Catan at one of the tables. Such a cozy way to enjoy our dessert! The line moved quickly, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop for a sweet treat and a taste of gingerbread magic!
The Gingerbread Factory was an absolute must-stop during my trip to Leavenworth. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a beautifully decorated large tree on the right, with an inviting display of bakery goods straight ahead. It instantly puts you in a festive mood. There are a few tables available if you want to sit and enjoy your treats, but I was on my way to dinner, so this was more of a quick (but memorable) stop. We were lucky to visit when it wasn't too busy, especially since I had heard this place often has lines. The selection went far beyond just gingerbread. There was an array of baked goods including cheesecake, cookies, and mini cakes, along with a small coffee menu to choose from. Since I wasn't heading back to my hotel right away, I avoided anything that needed refrigeration and opted for a raspberry scone instead. I know... coming to the Gingerbread Factory and not getting gingerbread is a bit ironic but I couldn't help myself. The scone was delicious, and the fact that it was made the same day definitely made a difference. I'd absolutely come back to try the gingerbread next time and maybe enjoy it with a cup of coffee. We got the Leavenworth really early and there was no line whatsoever. BUT when we went back like 3 hours later, omg the line was like a 45 minute wait... the service was great at both times, considering how busy it was. The place itself was cute, great for photo-ops if it's not busy, and so cute, cozy. The chocolate chip cookie was TOP TIER. Omg the chocolate chip was so f good, I ate the whole thing in a spend of 1 minute lol. I usually dislike gingerbread but they actually taste good here. We originally got hot cocoa at another place and was highly disappointed, so we got here and felt so much better lol. Worth the wait? I absolutely thing it is but that's all up to you and try it!

The employees were nice and quick. Is it overpriced? Probably, but it's not something you can have anywhere anytime and arguably this is the best bakery for gingerbread around so I thought it was worth trying. I believe the cookie was $3.50 and the hot chocolate was $7.50

For treats The Gingerbread Factory serves up some great cookies... How often does one purchase a gingerbread cookie in the big city, NEVER ! Yet I was compelled to try one when I visited this Leavenworth store.. Crunchy , robust and delicious are my feelings for this masterpiece cookie. Now when I returned they didn't have any ready to be purchased so I grabbed a heart shaped sugar cookie with frosting and it was equally delicious. Haven't tried some of the other delightful treats but I shall... I'm just full today and have no room for another cookie. Staff was very courteous in answering questions and completing the cookie purchase... For those wanting to eat your cookie you have plenty of seating in the building including a cool area in front. Now a hidden gem is the clean commode which I must say was needed, so thanks for keeping things clean.... All in all I'm a big fan of this local bakery and will stop again and again and again. Ugh as if ... Leavenworth couldn't get any cuter?! This Gingerbread shop was one of my favorite highlights and things to look forward to in this Bavarian town. My favorite holiday cookie is gingerbread, so was very excited there is a whole shop dedicated to it! It's like Christmas all year to me! The moment you walk in you are greeted by the cutest "gingerbread house" with gingerbread houses adoring the opposite wall that leads into the shop. From there, there are many assortments of pastries cookies and even coffee for you to choose from! My favorite is always the original! Definitely worth a visit when coming to Leavenworth! read more

Love this place. We don't ever plan to but somehow end up coming here everytime we're in Leavenworth. Seems a little boutiquey inside, maybe a cross between a Leavenworth store and a chain cookie shop. Theres food items, like the biscuits and gravy special they were running the last time we were in, and drinks - including alcoholic - but I usually go for the sweets. For one, their cinnamon rolls are soft and thicc - just like how I like 'em. The gingerbread cookies are yummy, more sweet than gingery though I'd be cool with either way. Our favorite is the espresso frosted gingerbread cookie. They also make a spot on pink sugar cookie. The prices are fair, not like a Crumbl cookie where the name is more about your wallet and not the cookie. Everything we order here is delicious. Only critiques are that the line is always long (a good sign) but always quick, the better options are toward the register, and the floorplan there is very narrow. Still quite a few places to sit of course. read more

If you're visiting Leavenworth, the Gingerbread Factory is definitely worth the stop--but try to time your visit carefully. During peak times you may find yourself waiting in line for 20-30 minutes. The good news is the line moves quickly, and there's plenty to look at while you wait. The main line is for the incredibly tempting cookies and drinks, while a separate counter to the right is dedicated to food orders and is usually much shorter. Near the entrance, there are charming displays of gingerbread houses and detailed dioramas that serve as a fun distraction while you wait your turn. Once inside, the display cases are filled with an amazing variety of treats--cupcakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, Linzer and gingerbread cookies, and many other delicious options. Everything looks so good it's hard to choose! We ended up ordering three cookies per person and happily stretched them out over the next few days. Before heading back to Seattle, we made one last stop to grab a to-go box for the road and for home. Totally worth it. Yummo! Also, there is a small Gift Shop all things Gingerbread. read more

What a hidden gem! The name of the establishment is Gingerbread Factory, but there are so much more sweets selections inside! It's a child's favorite place for sure with all of the amazing treats. There are cupcakes, cookies, bread, bundt cake, ice cream abs so much more. The line is quite long, but it goes by quickly. There are a lot of seatings available inside as well. Saw this place as a must try when in Leavenworth. We got a chocolate chip cookie per my daughter's request and I got a 16 oz iced vanilla cold brew. Cookie was pretty big which it was $3.95. Took a bite, it was soft and still tasted fresh. They have cute sit in/dine in areas in the store to enjoy your food and beverages. Service was quick and they were pretty nice. read more

Very cute shop on Front street. I was there super early so no line and I grabbed a Biscoff cookie which was so perfectly ooey gooey. I could tell it probably gets really busy later in the day but I had a very pleasant and quiet experience! Lots of cute gingerbread cookies but I can't speak for how they taste -- hopefully not just for show! read more

The Gingerbread Factory is such a cute place with delicious options, an absolute must for anyone visiting Leavenworth! I can personally vouch for the stuffed biscoff cookie which is one of the best cookies I've ever tasted. I've also enjoyed their latte options and had a wonderful quiche. Friends have raved about the iced gingerbread cookies, black licorice ice cream, and lunch offerings including tortellini salad and a wrap. The food always looks incredible and the service is quick and friendly. read more

We stopped the Gingerbread Factory just to look around and was pleasantly surprised that they had mini vintage cakes! It happens to be our anniversary and we just got their last red velvet cake. It was beautiful, affordable, and delicious! This place is so cute, I recommend just coming in to look around and you might find a treat that tickles your fancy. Their staff are very warm and friendly. read more
One of the places you must stop by when visiting Leavenworth! My favorite was the huge cinnamon roll that was moist with just enough sweet and spice. My wife enjoyed the ginger snap cookies, again with a good balance of sugar and ginger flavor. No matter what you're in the mood for, you're bound to find it here! The staff were super nice and accommodating! We visited multiple times within a week and were able to have a mini cake for a birthday! :D The shop can be very relaxing during the week, but our first experience was very busy on the weekend. The offer cookies, ice cream beer, different types of milk and more. Regardless of the day, we were able to find seating and enjoy our sweets. They have a ton of cool little souvenirs and merch. We would definitely return and recommend anyone stopping by in the area. read more

This place is so cute I felt like I walked into a fairytale when I entered. There's a tree in the entryway with ornaments and a few mushrooms at the bottom. There are some seats in this area and more in the main room. Besides baked goods, they also have lunch items, but we were there for the gingerbread. Wow, these are the best gingerbread cookies I've ever tasted. They were a little soft with just enough sweetness and ginger flavor. After finishing our cookies, I had to go back and get a few more to bring home. read more

The cookies were very tasty if very over priced. However, stay far away from the drinks!!! The roast tastes like they burned the coffee beans. We got three espresso-based drinks, one raspberry mocha (no raspberry flavor), a brown sugar cinnamon latte (just tasted burnt but could taste the cinnamon), and another cinnamon latte that had NO flavor - they evidently didn't add ANY flavor whatsoever. The fourth drink was an Italian soda with 2 flavors where they forgot one of the flavors. They did 2 drinks at a time and we were the only customers in there. So it wasn't like they were overwhelmed. Maybe that should have been a clue. It's unfortunate because I was so looking forward to trying this place since they have good reviews. read more
