I haven't been impressed with a breakfast in Leavenworth in a long time, so I'm SO GLAD this place opened up! There was a short line when we got there but it moved fast and they were staffed well to handle it. I got a gluten free bagel and it was fantastic. Perhaps one of the best I've had. They are generous with toppings and serve both breakfast and lunch style. I went with a classic lox bagel and it was so so good. Super quick to get the bagels and they were delicious and filling. I added egg to mine and it was no problem. They also offer vegan bagels and spreads, in addition to the gluten free bagel options , so any of their offerings can be modified to be dairy free and or gluten free. They had two small tables but it's a busy spot, so I'd plan to get these to go. They are pretty easy to transport and wrapped well. Grab some napkins and eat them somewhere gorgeous! Will definitely be back, and might try to recreate some of these menu items at home-yum! Kind staff and some street parking out front- no harder than the rest of town. Easy, reasonably priced, and friendly service! I was looking for a quick bite in Leavenworth before a day of Bavarian-style adventure. I didn't want a full breakfast, I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and Bavarian Bagel was exactly what I needed. The menu features a ton of bagel breakfast sandwich options, probably a dozen different kinds of bagels, and maybe 8-10 different cream cheese spreads. I went simple - a rosemary and sea salt bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. Toasted. It was the perfect amount toasted - crunchy enough to make eating it easy, not over toasted to the point there was no softness left in the bagel. They were fairly busy, but I had my bagel order within 4-5 minutes of ordering. I overheard the cashier telling someone else that they're usually sold out of everything by 11 or 11:30 every day, so if you have a bagel on your mind, definitely go on the earlier side! There is limited seating - a small bar and maybe a table with chairs inside, and a few more tables and chairs outside, so be prepared to take your order to go. read more

I got the lox bagel (4.75/5) and a build your own bagel with turkey and egg (4.5/5). The lox bagel was great with a decent portion of lox. The egg and turkey bagel was well loaded! I got salt bagels for both, and they had a slight crunch and weren't too salty. Overall, the bagels were great! It was so good that I've come back 3 days in a row! These bagels are the best I've ever had. I started with the lox bagel (incredible and very addictive). The next day, I had it again. Today, I had the cheddar dill bagel which was delicious as well. Each time I went, I ordered a pistachio latte which was made perfectly. Another place that was a must. As expected there was a line out the door, but it moved really quick. They don't run a huge menu, but thats good as it made it easier to decide. My bf & I decided to get 2 different ones & half it so we'd get one of each. I got the icicle gorge grinder & he got the lox & chose asagio bagel for both. Wow, that bagel was amazing! Had a short stay in Leavenworth during the week and looked for a breakfast place nearby. Bavarian Bagel was one of the few places that were open, and the reviews were spectacular, so I had to give it a try. Upon looking at the menu, it has some interesting bagel sandwich choices! They were a bit too pricy for me, and I wasn't feeling like eating that much on this particular morning, so my partner and I opted for a bagel and shmear ($5), and the "Alpine Avocado" ($7). We had the white cheddar dill bagel with chive & onion shmear. I couldn't taste the white cheddar but that dill definitely stood out! The cream cheese was pretty good, but not better than other places. The Alpine Avocado is a toasted bagel topped with smashed avocado, chili crisp, pickled red onion, and everything seasoning. We had it with a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Altogether, wooo this was delicious! My partner absolutely loved it. I really enjoyed it too, but might need something else creamy on it in addition to the avocado, to balance all that tang and spice. You are able to customize toppings on a bagel, which I think is pretty cool. I took a photo of the Build Your Own menu for you to view. Oh also you can get coffee drinks here! The cafe is small, so, not much seating, and they were very busy... but for all the hustle and bustle, I thought service was welcoming and it felt like they cared about each customer. Get there early--these bagels fly off the shelves! By the time we arrived, the only options left were the vegan jalapeño cheddar and white cheddar. We got them toasted with butter (heads-up: the butter is a little on the sweet side, which didn't pair well with the jalapeño bagel IMO). That said, the bagels themselves were fresh and tasty. The coffee held its own too--we tried the mocha, cappuccino, and dirty chai, and all three hit the spot. My friends planned a day trip to Leavenworth to celebrate my birthday and the one place I knew for sure I wanted to stop by was Bavarian Bagel. I LOVE bagels. I was receiving TikToks and Instagram Reels about Bavarian Bagel and how good the bagels/spreads are. Luckily, we arrived before they closed. We got there a little after 2:30PM and during the winter they close at 3PM, so we barely made it. Since it's based off first come, first serve, but the time we arrived a lot of items were already sold out. Given the limited options at that time, I decided on a sweet bagel. I ordered a blueberry bagel with strawberry schmear. The strawberry schmear was so GOOD. It wasn't too sweat and the texture was amazing. It was light like almost whipped cream. Seeing as they had sold out of 3 flavors the first time we stopped in I was going to order them online the night before to make sure I got the flavors I wanted. However the only things you can order online are the sandwiches, sides, & drinks. You cannot place an order for just bagels and schmear in advance. I don't know exactly when this showed up in Leavenworth, but I am so happy to have another option. I visit the area at least annually and always love having new things to eat. Part of the fun of Leavenworth is walking around and eating all the food, while I have not eaten everywhere, I have eaten a lot of places. Parking in this area is paid and can be challenging, but the town is very walkable. The interior is not super large, but there are a couple outdoor seats as well. It can feel crowded if there are already people there when you arrive. Sure bagels are available all over, but it is not as easy to find places that have vegan cream cheese, vegan breakfast ingredients and vegan deli meats. On my first visit I enjoyed a vegan cheddar jalapeno bagel with garlic and herb schmear. It was toasted and wrapped up perfectly. A teeny bit messy, be sure to grab napkins. It was quite filling, both me and my partner could only eat half at a time. It did take awhile to have made, but it was a busy weekend late in the morning. Coffee is also available. I was so excited to finally come here in person and bring my grandma. We were just wanting to buy bagels to go, maybe some of the fun cheeses. I have only had the bagels given to me from friends when I was sick. We were rudely and abruptly bordering barked at that they were closed and taking no more orders after standing and reading the menus for a minute or two. It happened to be 2pm on the dot the moment the dark haired employee said this to us. She made zero efforts to be polite, apologetic, or even remotely friendly. As someone who lives here, I will be back, but that girl will never get my kindness or a tip. She's lucky my husband loves these bagels so much and that I happen to know of, and feel supportive towards the owners. Based on her tone alone, I would have never come back. We had the absolute joy of stopping at Bavarian Bagel on our last morning in Leavenworth. We arrived around 9 AM on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a line. About 30 minutes later, a more substantial line had formed, so I'm glad we got there when we did! The service was friendly and incredibly efficient, and the menu offers plenty of options. I went with the Summit Sunrise--a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich--on an everything bagel. The addition of spicy mayo was a fantastic touch, adding just the right amount of heat. I also tried one of their espresso drinks and opted for their specialty Raspberry Shortcake Latte. It was absolutely delicious, and I'm so glad I gave it a try. Overall, these were some of the best bagels I've ever had. They were clearly made fresh--soft on the inside while still perfectly crunchy on the outside. My wife discovered this relatively recent breakfast bagel bistro in the "back streets" of Leavenworth on TikTok, I think...which would explain the rather absurd lines during its somewhat limited operating hours. It was our first choice for breakfast on our first full day in town, and despite being only about 15 people back, our total wait time, including line, ordering, and waiting for pickup, was about 40 minutes. Granted, this was on a Saturday morning, on the second Saturday in December, so we were there pretty much during peak pilgrim population, so that's likely a worst-case scenario. The wait was worth it, though: I had the Icicle Gorge Grinder, while my wife had her perennial favorite, the Lost Lake Lox, both of which were formidably sized, juicy and delicious, toasted lightly but still pliable - everything a good bagel sandwich should be! Well, other than the bill that accompanied them - expect tourist-y prices here, as my grinder was upwards of $17, which is pretty steep for a bagel. Good thing is was tasty enough to justify such an alpine asking price, as our two sandwiches and two small black coffees ran us north of $40 bucks! Very recommended if you can stomach both the wait times (I'm sure they're not nearly as bad during the work week, or the off-season) and the costs, because everything else about this cute little bagel nook is exceptional! read more

I will be comparing every bagel place I visit to Bavarian Bagel from here on out! It is the pinnacle of bagel shops! My husband and I were staying in town last weekend. It came with scrambled eggs, choice of bacon or sausage (I selected bacon), cheddar cheese and spicy mayo on a toasted bagel. (I picked the everything bagel). This was hands down the best bagel sandwich I've had, and I have had many! The bagel was so good, perfect crunch, bursting with the everything bagel flavors! The eggs were perfect and light. Bacon was thick and plentiful. Just the right amount of spicy mayo to give it some depth and a little kick! Stopped in to try this place, they had some pretty decent bagels I would say. I had the summit bagel with chive cream Garlic, herb, cream cheese. I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. My wife says she thoroughly enjoyed hers, we got the same thing except she had sausage instead of bacon. She gave her a.10/10 So I guess we'll average it at 8 out of 10. The coffee does suck though . Also, they don't do blended coffees for your information. Service was pretty decent, although it does take a little bit of time for your bagel to be prepared .
