I had a very positive experience at J5 Coffee today! My husband and I ordered some fancy lattes as an afternoon pick-me-up from here. My husband enjoyed his maple bourbon latte but the latte I ordered tasted off. I hemmed and hawed about going back to say something, and I'm so glad I ultimately decided to! They refunded my order and made me a new drink (which was delicious!) and were extremely gracious about the entire thing. Thanks for the awesome customer service. read more

These guys weren't very friendly and made a golden milk that tasted bitter and terrible. When I tasted it and asked for some sort of sweetener they looked at me like how dare I ask... I'd rather make my own than drink this stuff. None of my friends finished their coffees, unimpressed. read more

This is a super cute family owned coffee shop. What a great creamy and good roast coffee. Definitely tasted like a high end coffee, one of the better ones we've tasted from around Leavenworth. The people were very friendly, personable, and even gave us recommendations on where to get the best pretzels which we're super serious about. read more

Meh, Cold winter town in December and wanted a tasty holiday coffee. For 6-7$ for a medium Coffee it was meh. The pepermint I could barely taste. for the price it fell flat. If I was in a smaller party and could have I would have asked them to remake. Maybe this was just a one off. Inside was cool and trendy some small gifts. read more

I ordered the maple bourbon latte! It was sooo nice! I think it's one of the best lattes I have ever had. The place is super cute and the people over there are super nice. I really enjoyed this coffee shop! They have a unique menu that consists of bourbon maple latte and pumpkin spice. They use real ingredients and don't rely on artificial sweeteners like most commercialized coffee houses. I give their coffee specialty drink a B-! The drinks do take slightly longer than they should and the process is a bit slow. I think the baristas need to speed it up more. The only thing great about the coffee was its warmth and the heat it provided to my freezing hands. Talking about the coffee itself, the espresso must have been brewed out of a tad burned coffee beans. I won't call the beans just subtle borderline burnt but they were over roasted. The 8oz. coffee was 4oz froth. And I mean large bubble froths and not lather. read more

I took off one star as one of the customer was not wearing a mask in store which was making me uncomfortable. The staff saw him but did not say a word about it which kind of bothered me. read more

Best latte ever especially coming during Christmas time with family visiting from sunny California. Sister in law had a ginger bread oat latte she was obsessed with, the nieces had gingerbread hot milk, brother in law a nice cortado, husband and I got the white chocolate latte. We got it everyday we were there and were sad it's only in Leavenworth! We went an ordered the white chocolate powder from the vendor they get it recreate it at home it's sugar free made with stevia! Very cozy chic perfect anytime! read more

Ordered the Chai Tea Latte and it was good but not great. I guess they are known for their coffee and not their tea. This is a family ran business. The husband and wife works in the coffee shop. The owner is very friendly. The owner, Jesse said he roast the beans himself and yes they didn't grow the coffee beans. They have a high tech expresso machine. The decor is interesting. Very spacious only issue not much seats. Unless you stand and drink your coffee. They have a few stools at the counter and no other seats. Not like that typical coffee shop where you can relax and sit and chat with friends. I am giving 5 stars for awesome friendly service. read more

My husband and I always stop by when we are visiting Leavenworth. The quality of the coffee and people are amazing~. Almost don't want to write such a good review so that it could be my little secret coffee place, but they deserve all the best! Looking forward to my next trip here. This place has good coffee but too bad they're NEVER open when they say they are. When you pull up ready to get your coffee 20-40 min after they say they open and they're not there it's very disappointing and it's happened several times. One time some guy there non chalantly said they'd open an hour late. Seems like poor management and lazy employees / owner. I'll be taking my business to Argonaut from now one. Also who opens for coffee at 9am?! People have to get up at 6am get your lazy asses up and make this money! read more

I am giving one star just because the service was ok. My sister and I ordered a panela sugar + cinnamon latte and a pumpkin spice + honey latte and what we both had were just milk sugar flavored lattes. Definitely they need to change their recipes or do it right. read more

One of the best cups of coffee I've ever had is J5's German Chocolate Mocha Latte. Normally not a latte girl, I found this drink a delightful dessert drink after a hearty breakfast - without being too sweet and skimping on the coffee flavor. Established in 2013.

In September of 2013 J5 opened the Leavenworth location, primarily offering coffee tastings and selling our freshly roasted, whole bean coffee. The storefront also provide the opportunity to display a variety of coffee brewing equipment and coffee related items. In 2014 we launched our Espresso Bar; allowing us to serve a full range of espresso based drinks, while still continuing to offer freshly roasted coffee beans and related items.

Meet the Business Owner: Jesse and Courtney W.

A long time resident of Leavenworth WA, Jesse turned a personal hobby of coffee roasting into a growing business. Courtney grew up in Leavenworth, dreaming of opening a coffee shop in the Upper Valley. She has a serious love for espresso and a great eye for curating unique retail goods. Together they started J5 to supply the region with freshly roasted coffee, hand-made espresso and coffee drinks, along with coffee brewing equipment and education.

No fudge has ever come close! The fudge costs $5 per 1/4 pound. If you buy 1 pound, you get a half pound free. Meaning you get 1.5 pounds of fudge (6 squares) for $20. They also sell and ship their fudge online. My favorite fudge flavor is the chocolate peanut butter. I've also tried the s'mores and it was delicious! Their coffee is quality - not burnt or bitter, just right. The baristas are always friendly. They also sell some cute souvenirs and have a few tables for seating. This will become a tradition and must visit spot for all our future Leavenworth stops.

All in all, Iconoclast is a great spot for guests and non guests alike to grab a drink, browse the shop, or just hang out and enjoy the modern yet cozy atmosphere.

Remember to register for parking even in the free 15 min because there are patrols out a lot.

There was a short line when we got there but it moved fast and they were staffed well to handle it. I got a gluten free bagel and it was fantastic. Perhaps one of the best I've had. They are generous with toppings and serve both breakfast and lunch style. I went with a classic lox bagel and it was so so good. Super quick to get the bagels and they were delicious and filling. I added egg to mine and it was no problem. They also offer vegan bagels and spreads, in addition to the gluten free bagel options , so any of their offerings can be modified to be dairy free and or gluten free. They had two small tables but it's a busy spot, so I'd plan to get these to go. They are pretty easy to transport and wrapped well. Grab some napkins and eat them somewhere gorgeous! Will definitely be back, and might try to recreate some of these menu items at home-yum! Kind staff and some street parking out front- no harder than the rest of town. Remember to register for parking even in the free 15 min because there are patrols out a lot.

Located on front street, this brewery is a must when you visit the area. What Ioved - Great beers- Dirty face amber and Akoya Japanese rice lager Delicious food- The tomato bisque and grill cheese was amazing! Not to mention the warm Bavarian pretzel with beecher's cheese sauce was the best! Lots of seating and cool decor in the brewery. Friendly bartenders and servers Pet friendly establishment Events throughout the week- Be sure to ask your bartender for the events at the brewery throughout the week. We had a great time visiting this brewery while in the area. Definitely a must visit during your stay in Leavenworth

I typically go for the Alpenhaze but the server recommended the seasonal Enchantments Jabberwocky and it was delicious. Pretzel was decent but I think there are better ones in town. Next time I will order an extra side of cheese sauce, I didn't have enough but didn't want to get up to order more. Such a spacious location with seating outside looking at the main street or inside, upstairs is super cute too. Super friendly crew and fun merch and to-go beers in the fridge.

We ordered the combo Lone Star BBQ platter; smoked brisket and pork roast slices, pinto beans, slaw and a full order of their house Mac&Cheese. The meats were a generous portion, a warning, the M&C was huge and delicious. The meal was hot and served within 15 minutes. Although the pork was very good, the brisket was fantastic. Haven't had that good of smoked brisket since we were in Houston, TX last year. Turns out the owners, the husband is the chef, are from Texas. All their desserts; cakes, pies, danishes and cookies are made in-house. We shared a large slice of Cherry Pie, just excellent. We will definitely return and try the smoked ribs !
