Grabbed a cappuccino and mocha to go--both were really good, but I especially loved the cappuccino. Smooth, well-balanced, and just the way I like it. The place itself is adorable. It's a shop + coffee combo with tons of cute items that had me wanting to browse way longer than planned. Perfect little stop if you're in town and want good coffee with some charm on the side.

Friendly and quick service. Just off the Main Street in Leavenworth. I tried the spiced apple cider with Topo Chico sparkling water. A fun alternative for a refreshing iced drink in the summertime.

It was about a 5-10 minute wait to order on a Saturday afternoon. The interior is super cute with merchandise for sale. Unfortunately there isn't indoor seating. I ordered a small iced bourbon maple latte. It wasn't too sweet and the maple flavor was great. I'd come back and order the same thing in the future.

This shop feels artisanal which was a delight. There are a lot of really fun gifts on the shelves. I purchased guava and passionfruit chocolate bars. They were pretty good. I got a mocha and it was pretty good but not as rich or dark as I hoped for. A bit too sweet. The two baristas were cute which restored my faith in attractive young adult men existing. They were nice and very helpful. Worth the stop in. Parking can be a bit hard to find. They have a good amount of latte flavors too.

Carmel Late tasted like hot milk. No flavor of coffee or Carmel. One of the worst coffees I've ever had. Tired making all kids of excuses as to why it might taste that way instead of just making a new one. Got a coffee from icicle coffee and chocolates it was100% better. read more

Such a cute little coffee shop I stumbled upon in Leavenworth! The interior is super, super cute and I loved that they also had local-made trinkets, etc for sale too. The baristas were kind as can be, and made deciding on a drink super easy. The only drawbacks are that there isn't any seating inside and it is a little on the pricier side. However, still definitely worth checking out if you want to try something new! read more

After a 2 hour long drive from Seattle we needed a cuppa and this place popped up on my yelp. The place is neat and clean with very friendly workers. We tried the bourbon maple latte, iced mocha and the Italian soda blueberry flavor with creme. Everything was very good and refreshed us perfectly for the walk. If you are looking for a grab and go, I would recommend this place. read more

Visiting from Renton, WA, my girlfriend and I were wandering through the shops, and I came across J5 coffee, seeing the most amazing coffee tumblr I had ever seen. Well, what I hadn't noticed, is the store was already closed, and were not going to be open the next day, due to it being Sunday. A little pouty, we just moved on, walking back into the square, but then saw a J5 walk up, and I asked, if the products were sold at his location too? He said no, but he would be happy to contact his wife, to open for us, to make my purchase. Now, happily owning two tumblrs, one in red, and one shown in teal, I am SO happy. Favorite coffee shop in the little city of Leavenworth. I first heard about it from my little brother who used to work here, and both the coffee and tea did not disappoint. They have a variety of coffee and teas. Almost every time we make a stop here, the owner is there and always makes the experience very fun and memorable and always engages in conversation with all the guests in the coffee shop. We've tried the teas and lattes' both iced and hot and were pleased. The beans are also one of a kind. I have ordered the beans from here a few times as well. Not only Is it great tasting with nice baristas, but its also super cute inside. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. Cant wait to come back and enjoy the drinks. read more

Why 5 stars? Because this was my favorite stop of our entire trip. --- --- --- If I could custom-make a coffee shop in a video game, J5 Coffee would be even better than what I could create. Basically what I'm saying is that they've done a better job than I could even imagine. Let me list the reasons: 1) They have the best Con Panna I've ever had. 2) They roast their own beans. 3) They have the coolest decor I've ever seen, even down to the details like coasters and notneutral glasses. 4) This is legitimately a family-owned business. The employees during my visit were husband, wife, and kid - all of whom were as friendly as they come. 5) Yes, they have their kid greeting people and ringing up orders... until he remembers he's a kid and decided to abruptly leave his post, in an adorable fasion :) 6) I left my chocolates at the bar, and said kid-employee came running down the street after me to make sure I did not leave them behind. J5 is deserving of their 5-star average, and I hope others continue to post rave reviews to help them with their continued success. You guys are awesome!!! read more

Skip Starbucks and go here! Excellent coffee made how it is suppose to be made. We're total coffee snobs so it's hard to impress us but this coffee reminded me of when I was in Europe. I got a Con Panna and it was amazing. There was also a dirty chai, mocha and Italian soda involved and they all got rave reviews. The barista was very friendly and the shop was cute. I took a bag of beans home and just might have to return to Leavenworth for more. read more

Our visit to J5 Coffee during a recent trip to Leavenworth was simply a delight! Walking around Leavenworth seeking some iced coffee, we found the little gem of J5 down one of the tiny streets and decided this is where we needed to stop in. Jesse the owner greeted us with a smile and adorable little man Caed was manning the cash register. Our coffee was hand pressed and poured over ice with a shot of vanilla added to sweeten the already delicious and refreshing treat. Jesse shared his story of J5 and how they prefer to roast fresh coffee beans in micro batches to keep the full flavor of the beans, providing a superior coffee. I have been missing my local cafe and then I discovered J5. Wow! Super smooth espresso. They do their own small batch roasting and are clearly putting the effort in to get top notch beans. Friendly and prompt service as well. They have beans for sale, single origins as well as their espresso blend. I'll definitely make sure to buy a bag or two before I leave town. read more

Awesome coffee shop! My Fiancé and I were visiting Leavenworth and decided to stop in at this shop because of the good Yelp reviews. We have both worked in the coffee industry for several years and really enjoy a GOOD cup of coffee (we are pretty picky about the quality). First, the atmosphere of the J5 shop is a relaxed, open feel. We got the feeling that this was a classy coffee shop when we walked in due to the avalibility of pour-over, maximum of 16oz drinks, and options like a Con Panna and Cortado. The shop was spotless, despite the busy Saturday rush. We were quickly served by the friendly staff! We quickly realized why this shop is rated so highly! The staff was friendly and easy to talk to and the coffee was excellent!! My Cortado was made perfectly with the shots pulled correctly and the milk steamed well! It was one of the best Cortados that I have had! My fiancé was also very pleased with her order of a mocha. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping in J5 if you appreciate quality coffee! So much better than Starbucks! And your supporting a local business! If your visiting Leavenworth, stop in and enjoy an excellent cup of Joe! Portland coffee in Leavenworth. Great coffee and great service. They offer standard espresso drinks made with attention to detail. They use fresh flavorings if that is your thing. They also roast their own coffee and it was well done. Not burnt or too acidic. They also offer teas. The owners and staff were very friendly. Girl that rang up my order and made my coffee had a clear joke of a mask on. It didn't cover her nose and wasn't sealed under her chin - literally a thin piece of plastic hanging off her face, not really sure what the point of it is. I don't understand how that is OK when she's making drinks during a pandemic. I always go to J5 when I visit Leavenworth but thanks to their lack of safety today was my last visit. read more

Some of the best coffee you will find around. The service is amazing, the staff is always friendly and very quick. I guess the only downside to J5 is opening at noon. Sometimes you need that pick me up at 7am. read more

First time here , since it is my first time in Leavenworth ! Needed an iced coffee so stopped into J5 Coffee and I'm happy I did , my partner and I got a caramel Macchiato (iced) and it was really good . The service was good as well very nice and friendly staff . The only down side was I was expecting to be able to sit somewhere and there was no tables or any sort of chairs/stools . But overall is was good ! read more

My wife and I always search for our "go-to" coffee place when on vacation and we were lucky enough to find J5 at our first stop. Extremely friendly no matter who was behind the counter, J5 ensured we had a good coffee every time. They made a special bitter mocha for me as I am not a fan of most chocolate syrups used in coffee shops. My wife enjoyed an Americano with a touch of bourbon syrup. We were not only delighted with the outcome that day, they wrote down the recipes for our drinks so it was repeated every time we visited. I would have expected something like this to occur for a regular at the shop - not for someone only there three days. If visiting the area or even driving through, if you need coffee, J5 is worth the extra time and effort. read more

Hands down one of my favorite stops during my trip up to Leavenworth! I am a huge coffee fan, and enjoy experiencing the different brewing methods. Therefore, when I saw this place, I was intrigued. They have an impressive selection of brewing equipment, gifts, tea, coffee beans, honey, and snacks. In addition, they have a coffee shop with teas and espresso drinks. Everything they sell is reasonably priced. I ordered pour over, which was well worth the $2 I paid, but not that great. It was good, but it lacked body. The barista said it was the Colombian roast. Maybe I'm just not a fan of that one. I would have loved to try a different roast. If you love coffee and/or cute gift shops, stop in! read more

We are just visiting like most around here in Leavenworth but we always love to have great coffee on our vacations. J5 did not disappoint both in the iced and hot arena, the americanos were great as well as their lattes. The ingredients were top notch and flavors that we don't find on average at other coffee shops. The service has been awesome and it's a short walk from our hotel right in the heart of the area! read more

Was just playing tourist in Leavensworth for the day and had to get my coffee fix. Shea helped us and let me tell you, what a awesome human! I got a double oat milk latte with a touch of their bourbon maple syrup and I have to say probably the best latte I've had! Cute cafe, amazing employee, what more can you ask for?!! My husband got a pour over and I got the bourbon maple latte. My husband enjoyed the light roast, and my latte was ok. Didn't have a ton of flavor but gave the latte a little more sweetness than usual with a hint of maple. Service was great! read more

Great customer service! We got to meet the owners, a small young family. They are great and have started a specialty coffee shop. Amazing coffee. My personal favorite for the summer is their almond vanilla latte. So delicious and perfect! They also offer a variety of unique coffee gear to make great coffee at home. History

Established in 2013.

In September of 2013 J5 opened the Leavenworth location, primarily offering coffee tastings and selling our freshly roasted, whole bean coffee. The storefront also provide the opportunity to display a variety of coffee brewing equipment and coffee related items. In 2014 we launched our Espresso Bar; allowing us to serve a full range of espresso based drinks, while still continuing to offer freshly roasted coffee beans and related items.

Meet the Business Owner: Jesse and Courtney W.

A long time resident of Leavenworth WA, Jesse turned a personal hobby of coffee roasting into a growing business. Courtney grew up in Leavenworth, dreaming of opening a coffee shop in the Upper Valley. She has a serious love for espresso and a great eye for curating unique retail goods. Together they started J5 to supply the region with freshly roasted coffee, hand-made espresso and coffee drinks, along with coffee brewing equipment and education.

No fudge has ever come close! The fudge costs $5 per 1/4 pound. If you buy 1 pound, you get a half pound free. Meaning you get 1.5 pounds of fudge (6 squares) for $20. They also sell and ship their fudge online. My favorite fudge flavor is the chocolate peanut butter. I've also tried the s'mores and it was delicious! Their coffee is quality - not burnt or bitter, just right. The baristas are always friendly. They also sell some cute souvenirs and have a few tables for seating. This will become a tradition and must visit spot for all our future Leavenworth stops.

It was smooth and not overly sweet. The cafe seems to have a decent selection of coffee and espresso drinks and hotel guests can get complimentary black coffee. Based on the photo of the menu I took, it appears you can also order cocktails.. Staff were helpful and friendly and while prices were about what you would expect for a boutique hotel cafe, I paid for my matcha without much of a second thought. All in all, Iconoclast is a great spot for guests and non guests alike to grab a drink, browse the shop, or just hang out and enjoy the modern yet cozy atmosphere.

Will definitely be back, and might try to recreate some of these menu items at home-yum! Kind staff and some street parking out front- no harder than the rest of town. Remember to register for parking even in the free 15 min because there are patrols out a lot.

Haven't had that good of smoked brisket since we were in Houston, TX last year. Turns out the owners, the husband is the chef, are from Texas.
