When in the gardening section the gentleman there was giving great advice, but mentioned he wished that someone else was there. He stepped away to call the person whose day off it was, who agreed with his advice, and then came back and followed up with us to ensure that we were doing the best thing for our new landscaping. I don't know when I've had better customer service, these people know their stuff and actually care about your home. Do not hesitate to give them your business!

While they advertise that their prices are significantly less for designer pieces, I do not see much financial savings, HOWEVER, I am willing to pay their prices because, as I said, mostly everything in here is extremely unique. I will say this - I saw a coffee table here made out of a Russian boat propeller with a glass top (super cool and different!) for $2300 and it was $4000 at Restoration Hardware ... so that's something, right? :) They constantly get new pieces in, so you have to check back frequently. They are only open Thursday-Sunday, so you really want to try to get there Thursday to see the best things that they have to offer for the week. For the most part, you buy right off the floor. Sometimes they will have a few duplicate items from the floor back in their warehouse, but this is one of those places where when you see something you like, you better buy it because it may not be there next time. *Note: They are connected to The Dump, however, the styles/ selection is nothing like the The Dump. I've gone here for 25 years. Recently fell in love with Big Green Egg and purchased one from them. They delivered and set up. Then I got a DigiQ DX fabulous thermometer that keeps the Egg going at the set temp all night for long slow cooks. When I checked the Egg in the morning, the temp was 50 and meat only 160. I foiled meat and finished it in the over. But what happened to my DigiQ? In cleaning probes etc, I noticed no wired to it fan. There were two wires not attached. I immediately went to Jabo's Ace Hardware. I handed it to Rocky who looked at the whole thing. I know he had never taken one apart, but he did right in front of me. The wires had loosened from the fan (unscrewing the housing), and when I detached the rest of the equipment, had just come off. Now what? Rocky said he would have to strip the wires and re-solder them to the terminals. Which he DID! It is all fixed and they did not charge me anything (I had purchased the DigiQ from them a year before). There is no way I would have EVER been able to figure out what to do. Their service has always been great, but this was above and beyond. They are also close to my house, so it is convenient to go there. They have a Girls Night Out in November (which is where I fell in love with the Egg!). I've gotten gas logs from them, lots of yard supplies, and oh, yes, any size nail, screw, and gasket you could want. And, also, they have "movie" type popcorn every day!! read more

If you think you can return something that breaks in one week to Jabo's Ace Hardware in Coppell forget it. David McMurry is not only not nice but he doesn't care if you come back. I've purchased hundreds of dollars of equipment from the store and I tried to return one pair of Sthil sunglasses and he bascially said, he didn't think they were Sthil sunglasses because they didn't have Sthil's logo on them. I went to Sthil's website and the exact glasses, that did NOT have a logo either, in amber color are listed including a picture. David is the manager of Ace and his attitude is that of a 12 year old spoiled brat that doesn't know how to communicate. I will never go back to Jabo's Ace Hardware in Coppell. ( I did forget to mention that I had a printed email from the Regional sales representative from Sthil that told me to return them to Ace and ask for David for replacement. I was in the market for a new grill. The one I wanted was cheapest at Ace so yesterday I went to the Lewisville store to pick it up. Everyone there was very nice but not helpful at all so I left frustrated. I went straight to the next closest Ace(Jabo's). It was a night and day difference. I had three people ready to help when I arrived and they all smiled and shook my hand. They answered any and all questions I had even the tough ones they had to use the computer for. I got in and out of there in less than 10 mins with the grill I wanted in hand. Well...then I got the grill home and opened the box to set it up and the hood was really badly damaged. I called and spoke with the store manager (Michael) just now and he eased my concerns and frustration quickly. Him and I had an enjoyable conversation and he agreed to order me a replacement hood. If there were 10 stars I'd give them to Jabo's Ace Hardware. I recently needed assistance locating a specialized screw and bolt, to repair a walker, but have very limited experience with mobility devices. Michael made sure I received the assistance I needed from the experts. The staff must have spent 10 minutes helping me find just the right screw and then helped put it in place! Total cost 54 cents. This was such a different experience than two weeks earlier, when I went to one of the big box stores. $3.00 later I left with screws and bolts in hand,, but upon arriving home I found they didn't work. From now on it's Ace Hardware for me. A business that appreciates the customer and doesn't stop until they know you are well cared for and satisfied. read more

Ace Hardware in Coppell. Well what can you say about the place. It IS the place. Love the store. Michael, Zack (hope I got the spelling right) and all the rest are very helpful. I always get a hello and an ask if there is something they can help me with. I like that, but the more important thing to me is they don't hover if you tell them your just looking, but they are there when you need them. What I am here to say is that the system works. You can hit the store up on a very busy day and not have to worry about lines. It is an easy in and out to get your purchases pay for them and get back to your car, which is a major accomplishment for any of these big box stores.

A few special things about this location include *FREE* car wash for Plus members, though sometimes the line can get long like at any car wash. This location is one of the few locations nationwide where they make fresh tortillas daily. They're as good as Rosa's, but you get 20 instead of 12 and for much less $$. Worth it just for that. ;-) It's also an app focused location, so plan to use your app. However, they will still help you if you are not app savvy, and will assist you in installing the app as well if you'd like. Overall selection here is mixed. It's kind of a test location, but unfortunately the purchasing manager here is fairly clueless in that this store has many holes in product selection that you'll need to go to other locations to find products that should be at all locations. For example, you had to wait MONTHS after the location reopened in order to find an olive oil other than the MM 3 liter bottle! Most locations have at least 5 to choose from. Sams pickup here is pretty efficient. So if you gas, pickup and go, you are golden! Gas prices are consistently cheap here. Just watch out for either the clueless or entitled drivers who seem unable or unwilling to follow the arrows. Unfortunately those people are also the same people in the parking lot going the wrong way in the angled parking aisles, so just be sure to keep your head up at all times.
