On the rare occasion when I want to take on a DIY project, this Home Depot is where I go first. Although, if you ask me how handy I am on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say I'm about a -1, so maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt! Plus, the reality is that my buys are usually limited to command hooks, and houseplants. Nevertheless, I think this store has a decent selection and plenty of employees ready to assist. I noticed that other Yelpers have complained about the scarcity of workers and/or their unhelpful nature. So far, that hasn't really been my experience, but It might be because I always look so bewildered whenever I'm there that they feel compelled to stop and offer assistance. Another reason I'm partial to this store is because it's nice and quiet, especially compared to the perpetually busy Lewisville location. read more

This is the best place to go for Christmas decorations. They have tons of Santas, reindeer, and trees. If you get a really tree, they will trim it and attach it to your car for you. And they are way cheaper than some of the other places I have bought trees from in prior years. read more

I really like this Home Depot for smaller items or for renting the occasional Rug Doctor. For these normal shopping trips, I have no complaints. However... I came here recently hoping to replace my aging or already dead kitchen appliances as a package (broken dishwasher and microwave, refrigerator barely works, etc). All of my kitchen appliances are home originals (old), so I was hoping to save a bit of money by buying in bulk. The savings do (sort of?) exist in theory, but it turns out that Home Depot will charge you around ~$150.00 to deliver EACH item (see photo of pricing below - The lower price is the delivery price for that item). So, even if you purchase an entire kitchen and utility rooms' worth of major appliances as a package, they will still charge you for each item! That seemed ridiculous to me and would have ended up costing me around $1,000.00 for the delivery! This obviously would have more than negated any potential "bulk" savings I had been trying to attain. I was honestly surprised this is the company's policy, since I assumed a large business like this one would want you to purchase as much as possible directly through their store (warranties, large and expensive items, loyalty, etc.). I also would have thought that most obvious way to achieve this would be to offer a discount on certain things..., like delivery, but what do I know?? This would seem especially true if you're paying for each item to go to the same place right down the road! I couldn't get past this issue, so despite finding everything I needed in stock right then inside the store, I left empty-handed. Yes, I was disappointed, but I just couldn't justify spending almost a thousand dollars (and that's NOT including the new appliances' hook-ups or removal of old appliances) for a literal 1.9 mile trip to my house down the street! Checkers at this place are rude and hate their jobs. I have been accused of stealing or violating store policy on 2 occasions now. Because I actually stand in line and pay for my items. While others walk out or vandalize the store get nothing said to them. I have heard an elderly checker complain while I was in line to her manager that she was getting too many people in her line and that that is not fair she is sick of it. Like it is my fault! That same lady yelled at me because we had multiple carts and she was upset about us having too many items. We tried to get some of the items out of the way and she freaked out like we were trying to steal! So we just stayed back to let her finish. Then when she started to struggle she wanted our help. We said no way not after being accused of something! Then she had a meltdown and had a manager come finish. He did not handle the situation very well either. He stood up for his employee and her emotions. When he was done we kindly told him that someone spending $2800 on supplies 2-3x a week is not trying to steal anything and that employees are not allowed to make those allegations! The real problem is that an elderly woman is physically or mentally capable of that job and she did not want to be there and was making it everyone else's problem. Not to mention the problem of the manager not identifying the real issue. I will happily just drive a few more miles to Lowes. read more

MILITARY VETERAN ADVISORY It's been a while since I've shopped at THD because I do t live near one. This was on my way home so I stopped here. I had about $300 worth of items I wanted to buy. Went to the front to pay and asked for someone to give me my military discount. The employee told me he could t give me a discount unless I downloaded the app. I asked if he could manually give me the discount and he said he's not allowed to anymore because I needed to download the app. I found the supervisor and explained the situation. I said I don't want to download the app but wanted to use the military discount. She seemed annoyed and said we won't override for you me and if I wanted to get my military discount I had to get the app. THD - if you are not going to genuinely thank the 7% who served just don't offer a discount. We not only have to offer up our lives for your freedom but now we need to download your dumb ass app. You can shove that app you know where. I'll take my business somewhere else. Are you honoring our vets or using us as a gimmick? This happened 6/22 at 6:30. Your cashier coach needs a CSR lesson. There are very very few employees that actually know what is in that store, how to do even the most basic home maintenance and what tool does what. Im not talking about the high school kids, im talking about the grown adults. Customer service is extremely low. Try and return something and youre treated like a criminal until they realize how it actually works. In April 2023, we went to this location to purchase a replacement front door. We experienced several delays and finally on install day we were given the incorrect step/frame cover. At this point, I approved it (because no one would notice) and I thought the project would be complete. Well over four months later, we are still waiting on this location to submit the information to the city to complete the inspection. Yes, for over four months the door we paid $1000.00 for has had the documentation on it. When you contact the city trying to expedite the process, they tell you this is a well-known issue with this location, and they have to wait until the HD notifies them the work was completed. The 1-800 number just wishes you luck and transfers you to the store. My husband has made two visits to the store, and we are still waiting on results. When they cannot get something small done correctly, why would we trust them with any of the larger updates we need to have completed? read more

This Home Depot has some of the laziest employees I've ever seen. No manned checkout lines open, so I have to do your job for you. When I ask for my military discount I'm told they won't give it to me because I have to go online to register for it even though I have my military ID in hand. All I ever hear from Texans is how people from California are stupid and lazy. I have come here on several occasions and the store is most always clean. It can be difficult to find someone to help you out here. And the customer service is hit or miss. On one occasion my husband and I were here looking to buy wood to build our own headboard (which turned out AMAZING BTW) and we found someone to help us. We needed pretty precise cuts so we thought we'd get some help as my husband has had help with cuts in home depot's before and the project turned out fantastic. The guy told us to pick out the wood we needed and then he'd be happy to cut it. He looked at our list and gave us the general direction of what we were looking for. About 10 minutes later we were ready to cut. Some other employee was talking to him at this point. We went up to him and let him know we were ready. The other employee asked what we were doing and we let him know. He said first, the cuts would not be exact. He could get them within 1/8 inch. OK. Second, he can only cut up to 10 pieces. First two are free, every one after that is twenty-five cents. He said, "I'm not gonna do your project." At that point the other employee mouthed "Sorry." He didn't know. It wouldn't have been as big of a deal if the man wasn't so rude about it and had we known we might have gone to Lowe's but we were already committed. We declined the cutting offer and figured we'd just do it on our own. Bad experience with service. Other times here I've had employees go above and beyond to help me find something I couldn't locate on the sales floor. Other than that, I enjoy the store. read more

I went in to buy a mini fridge for college and I went to appliances and the box was all damaged. I went to find someone who could help and they said Anthony can come help me, well 10 minutes pass by and still no Anthony. I then called the store and requested to talk to someone in the appliance section and could hear the phone ringing. Since no one answered I got transferred back to the main line and spoke to someone. I told them that Anthony was supposed to help me 15 minutes ago and it was Anthony on the other line. He seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed with all of the attitude I received. I love the hospitality or should I say hostility I got today. Don't come here because they are under staffed and not nice. I will be going to another Home Depot. read more

We went to Lowe's after they quoted us over $1,000 and they came out and measured and said Home Depot was way way off with their measurements, and we are paying about $700 with Lowe's. I have been frequent this Home Depots for years and I am normally pleased with the service I receive. Even when I occasionally received sub par service, I always gave the benefit of doubt to the customer service agent without complaining or writing a review. But this time is different. On 7/5, I bought two Husky Cherry Tomato plants on sale for $4.00. It was rang up at $6.98. I went to the plant location and took a picture of the price label to show the cashier. I was told that he could not do anything and I needed to go to the customer service which I did. After explaining the situation to the first customer service agent at the Returns counter who told me that he did not know what to do with the cash back and needed to wait for the second agent to take care of it. I patiently waited for 15 minutes and I was told to get the physical price label by the second agent even I had take a picture of it already for their convenience. She was even trying to explain to me that the sales may have ended by the weekend and hoping for me to accept her lame excuse and go away. There is nowhere indicating that the sale has ended. I ended up returning these two plants since it was so DIFFICULT for the agent to deal with the price difference. read more

"No" means "Yes, please continue to bother me". I had been traveling store to store in order to complete an home improvement errand. Near the lighting section, an employee asked if I needed assistance. When I saw the light bulbs behind her, I told her I didn't. Rather than assist someone else, she started asking about my furnace and air conditioner. When I told her they both were recently replaced, I thought her questioning would cease. She then asked how I could be sure if they were properly maintained. She was here to sell me a service contract and wasn't planning to accept no for an answer. I realized I had to be firm when she wouldn't leave me alone. With my palm toward her, I told her "Thank you, but I'm not interested." At least with telemarketers, I could hang up the phone. I later discovered she was assigned to the district rather than a store employee. Yikes! I may bump into her at a different location. read more

This store has some great employees but the Halloween displays are unnecessarily gruesome, i.e. headless, life-size figures holding their own severed head. 90% of the time HD has what I am looking for. The employees are friendly and happy to help. Really love the fact that HD let's the pet's come in. The employees are always happy to see our little Boston Terrier. I bought light fixtures for a remodel I went with a different look (black finish instead of the stainless steel I originally bought) and tools for a reupholstery job I was going to do. I bought an electric staple gun instead of using the manual one I got because it was hard to use.... was told I could return the items when I came back in. I also bough the wrong size staples. Well. They wouldn't take back ANYTHING. Even for store credit because I didn't have my receipt. I do hair and use cash for in person purchase as much as possible so there's no credit card lookup available. I have never had this happen to me. And I am really upset about it and honestly was so embarrassing! They lady cashier was really nice and felt bad. But I will never be shopping at Home Depot again after this experience. I have bought thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff here, as does my husband and father. This is a Home Depot. They sell things for your home. It's probably cleaner than your average Home Depot with better lighting, and the people work here seem extra friendly and knowledgeable--which is not a guarantee at most Home Depots these days. I remember going into one years ago in college and telling a guy "hey, we need help making a beer funnel." And he hooked us right up. Lots of employees and everyone was very helpful and friendly. Does anyone remember when home depot had stuff you wanted. Now they seem to have what the vendors want to sell ,and will stock, to save them labor. Of a list of twenty five items they had one. I'm not sure what this company has been up to lately because they have really gone out of their way to give customers something they are not used to at other places customer service. I have yet to run into a single person at this store who isn't polite and seems like they honestly WANT to help. It's nice to be able to go into a store that sells many items that I have no clue as to what they are or how to use them and have someone there who listens to me and understands what needs to be done. I like the fact that many of the employees are older and experienced in more areas than just running a cash register. It's very clear that the store takes the time to teach their staff skills that they may not have known before getting hired. I really enjoy going into the Home Depot. BUYER BEWARE!!! After much consideration and research, approx. 7 years ago, we purchased 2 custom iron doors from Home Depot Flower Mound at a cost of over $6000. We decided to go through Home Depot because of their "we stand behind what we sell" way of doing business. We chose these doors for several reasons (i.e.- ease of care (no painting), security, beauty, etc.). We waited 4 months for our new doors (as expected) and were so happy with them and the knowledge that Home Depot was there to stand behind their product. FAST FORWARD to approximately 3 months ago when I, while coming in one of the doors, notice that the paint is peeling off both doors and exposing bare metal underneath. I tried touching up the doors with the paint provided (for nicks, scratches etc) but the paint did not match. So I called Home Depot and spoke with a very nice man who tried his best to be helpful. Through many conversations with him I find out that the company that manufactured the doors is no longer in business but, not a problem (I'm thinking) because I'm dealing with Home Depot, RIGHT?...WRONG!!! After many back and forth phone conversations and even a personal visit from the man I was dealing with (to assess the situation) their recommendation was to have their local "go to" iron door people come out to see about re-painting our POWDER COATED doors. OK, I was leery about this idea but was looking for a reasonable solution. I was told they (the "go to" door people) would have to come out to have a look at the doors. Meanwhile, I make a call to "my guy" to ck on the status and I am told that the "go to" door people WON'T TOUCH IT because they have made paint repairs on these doors before and the PAINT WON'T STICK TO THEM!!! Then he goes on to tell me that Home Depot is "willing" to offer me $500 towards having my $6000+ (powder coated) doors repainted when I (through my research) know it will cost AT LEAST $2,500-3,000 to have the job done. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT ASSUME THAT BECAUSE YOU PURCHASE FROM HOME DEPOT IN FLOWER MOUND THEY WILL STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL!! This was just a small portion of what we spent with this store as we were remodeling the entire house. read more

More knowledgeable, helpful associates are present M-F during regular working hours. Evenings and weekends, store is staffed by a bunch of kids who could care less. I have had very bad experiences with home depot and they don't care. We both a hot water heater and it only lasted a year and a half. It had ten year warranty, followed instructions to a tee for replac ement with a plumber. It cost so much more. Second time, ARS was contracted thru home depot to put in a completely new hvac system. Three times it didn't work. They said it had a one year warranty but they insisted I pay a $ 79 service call after two months after installation. Each of the three times I asked for a new filter, it never happened. After the one year was up, they wanted $ 169 for the same great service. I laughed, I gave them a year to try to rectify the situation . Nothing. I believe the employees write their reviews cause I never got the service. Home depot never sent me a bill for the two years, I have to call to get my balance. Home depot has forced m e to go elsewhere. I have been to this Home Depot on several occasions and have always found that employees were helpful but tonight big difference. My husband went In one side and I went through the garden center. I was asked if I needed help and I said yes , I asked if they had anymore of a particular flower. I was told by an employee that he wasn't able to tell me if they had anymore of those flowers because if he scans them they won't show up in the system. I said really I just wanted to know if he had "visually" seen more in the store ( since he works there) and ...No, he couldn't tell me if they had more. Hmmm Well I did find more about 2 minutes later. The problem I have, was that this employee did not care to assist me in finding what I was looking for. Not acceptable. The other teens working there were too busy chatting to know what else was going on. When I met up with my husband, the first thing he said was that he couldn't find anyone concerned about what he was looking for. He said they people he ran into were a little rude and not concerned in helping him find a solution to his issue. I hope this is not going to be the typical service from now on because I will not continue shopping there. There might need to be a customer service class in the employees future. read more

Interesting experience with customer service, or lack thereof, at this Home Depot. I was looking for adhesive that would instantly stick the manufactured stone to hardy board and I wandered into the area with the stone. A employee offered to help me and I described my application and he wanted me to nail a board at the bottom because, according to him, there isn't a adhesive that bonds the stone in place without it falling. I told him that it wouldn't be possible because there isn't a place to attach the board since it is an outdoor grill. He evidently didn't understand and told me that my gill look like shit and he walked off. Well, I did find some glue that worked as I had wanted, so he was wrong and no it looks quite well. I, in no way was I argumentative, I simply tried to explain that it was feasible and that I believe there was an adhesive that would work. I guess Home Depot doesn't care what kind of person they have helping their customers. I for one will not darken their door unless it is the last resort and I will drive out of my way to go another location. If you visit this store and a short middle aged Hispanic man offers to help look for someone else. read more
