Jabri was definitely a great choice. Great food reminiscent of New York Halal Food. Definitely worth every penny.

Was in town visiting family and this place was recommended by some local friends, so we decided to…read moretry it out.... just something different for a change, especially since we'd never tried authentic Turkish food before. Upon entering, my first impressions were that that place looked quite nice. A bit dated, but clean, cozy, warm, and casual. We showed up at about 6pm and the place was very quite, but in short time, the place became packed, and fit good reason.... the food was prepared and presented wonderfully, was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly, polite, helpful, and attentive... despite it being very busy. Being rather unfamiliar with Turkish food, we had a very nice and helpful chat with our server who made some great recommendations. We ended up ordering Mixed Grill Family Plate for 2, which came with a good variety of skewered meats like Beef Shish, Chicken Shish, Chicken Adana Kebab, Adana Kebab, Kofte Kebab, Doner, all served with house salad, Bulgur Rice, White Rice, Grilled Pepper and Tomato. In addition, we ordered the Lamb Chops, a Cucumber Salad, the Lahmacun.... best described as a Turkish pizza, Red Lentil Soup, and to top it all off, the Kunefe dessert. The word WOW! pretty much sums up the quality, flavors, and presentation of the dishes. Nothing was too salty at all... like I've often found with many similar such dishes found elsewhere..... just great flavors all around, witty tender, juicy, and perfectly marinated meats, and served, hot, fresh, and very well presented. As for that Kunefe dessert... a traditional Turkish dessert made with angel hair pastry, sugar, cheese, and pistachios.... Yummeee! ....now that was something different indeed. I'm not typically a sweet tooth kind of person, but I just wanted to taste just a bit of it. So unique and had very nice textures, unique flavors, and big time sweetness to it...ok, I'll admit it was VERY sweet, and I'll likely not order it again... not because it wasn't good...it was very good! ...just too sweet for me. But if you're into sweet desserts, I'm sure you'll love this dessert. Now that we have a better idea of what Turkish food tastes like, and my family was thoroughly impressed by the food quality and service, we're definitely coming back here again, for sure.

Think of it like a Turkish equivalent of an enchilada. If I can make it during lunch GREAT. But the dinner prices are pretty normal for Turkish restaurants, but I will usually order for the table so we can all try a little. I know the location isn't great but it's absolutely worth the inconvenience of the drive.

There were slow for the evening service. We order Meza for starters... mixed appetizers with feta cheese, smoked beef, egg, roasted peppers and eggplant among others. It was delicious. It also came with some kinda bread pancakes. I ordered the lamb shank that our friend recommended. It came with rice, carrots with tomatoey sauce. Lamb shank was super tender like fall off the bone tender and the sauce completes the picture. My wife loved the Greek salad. There are other items in the menu that we look forward to try. We arrived late and they were super accommodating and friendly. We stayed past closing and they didn't shoo us out. They have been around for 6 years but it's kinda hidden. Restaurant has some marble table and benches. Gave off a comfy neighborhood vibe. We will back to try out the other items on their menu or even just for the lamb shank.

Something different. Something out of the ordinary. Friends, let me tell you about Hamsa. House made Baba ghanoush? Addictive. Lamb Hummus? One of the best appetizers I've ever tasted. I could eat that lamb hummus every single day. Shaved tomatoes and feta? Scrumptious. We also shared the ribeye skewer and the shrimp skewer. As a couple, this allowed us both to enjoy a middle eastern version of "Surf and Turf." Both were fantastic. I've written a few reviews for Yelp. I only write a review if my experience was 5-star worthy. If I have an average meal, I'm not going to take the time to write about it. Hamsa was definitely one of the special ones. Give them a try. You won't be sorry.

I will tell you that is highly recommended to have a reservation because even though they have plenty of room, these restaurant is very popular, and they also have a beautiful bar. The food is outstanding with several traditional Mediterranean dishes but with their own and unique twist. You definitely must try the hummus with lamb and the Labneh with couscous, definitely might talk to favorite appetizers. Their non-bread is very fluffy and soft. I will say that the service is also wonderful, we were very well taken care of and their drinks are very tasty and strong! My only complaint is that it was very hot. We were seated in a booth by the wall and we were sweating, Looking forward to come back when it's not hot inside.
