What a wonderful surprise to find a Bosnian restaurant close by. Never tried Bosnian before. It was highly recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. There were slow for the evening service. We order Meza for starters... mixed appetizers with feta cheese, smoked beef, egg, roasted peppers and eggplant among others. It was delicious. It also came with some kinda bread pancakes. I ordered the lamb shank that our friend recommended. It came with rice, carrots with tomatoey sauce. Lamb shank was super tender like fall off the bone tender and the sauce completes the picture. My wife loved the Greek salad. There are other items in the menu that we look forward to try. We arrived late and they were super accommodating and friendly. We stayed past closing and they didn't shoo us out. They have been around for 6 years but it's kinda hidden. This is a Bosnian spot so I would say more Balkan than Mediterranean but wow it hit a spot - phenomenal food! They also have some great choices when it comes to European wines. I was looking forward to coming back since my return. The food did not disappoint. I would say this is probably the best Bosnian place I know or have eaten in the Houston area. The menu is pretty much the same or consistent to what was there before I left. A couple fail safe choices I would recommend to anyone for their first visit is their CEVAPCICI and their Burek. Other recommendations is their Sarma and Japrak. Most Bosnian dishes are beef and protein forward dishes so get ready to exceed your protein intake for the day. All the options are very healthy, either grilled or don't have an excess high starch / fatty additives. They have a good assortment of wine dishes to choose from and would also recommend adding any of their coffee choices. I should have asked what beans they use but the taste is rich and smooth and doesn't have the overheated bitter taste to it either. Overall I would suggest for all to definitely come and try any if not most of the options they offer. read more

Even though it's fried it doesn't feel too heavy. Mixed Platter - lots of meat: cevap, pljeskavica, chicken and beef skewers with some veggies. All the meat was remarkably tender and delicious. Stuffed Pljeskavica - meat patty stuffed with mushrooms and cheese, comes with fries. My favorite thing on the menu that we ordered. So tender, seasoned perfectly, and the stuffed mushroom and cheese added that extra bit of indulgence. Service was fast & friendly. Affordable prices. Taste of Bosnian food, great place to visit. In a strip mall passed the area several times but never knew the place was there. It's a nice size not too small and not too big. This is a great place to meet with friends a nice little date night. That staff was very friendly and helpful on helping you make your selection. I dined with friends who are very familiar with Bosnian food and suggested a little take of everything. Fried cheese - let me 1st I'm a cheese lover! This was good but the cheese had a bland taste for me. Nice batters and paired the sauce it was okay. Burek - we had a half and half beef and cheese. This was soo good. The pastry was light and when I added the Kajmak on top head explosion of goodness. There were other flavors that I will try. Kajmak is like a buttery cream cheese. Lamb shank- nicely seasoned and tender. Sarma - is a cabbage roll, not your regular cabbage the cabbage has a pickled taste not strong has a nice blend with the meet. The dessert was good the apple dessert they did not have any whip cream to top it but it's a spice apple taste. Great chill spot good wine and food still a lot more in the menu to try. read more

Late review but better late than never. Came here for dinner a few weeks back because I was surprised to see that they had reopened. I remember them when they used to be at their old location when my dad and I would go and get the food to go whenever my mom didn't feel like cooking. Fast forward to the new location near the Galleria area and they are so cute and the food is as good as I can remember. To start the night, we got the fried cheese (ackwai cheese), stuffed cabage, and for the main we got the mixed platter. Dessert was the tiramisu and had to end the night with a traditional Turkish coffee. The main star of the night for me was the fried cheese. In particular, the red pepper roasted sauce. I could literally eat it with anything! I actually kept it on the side until the very end of the dinner. The sarma (cabbage rolls) are a well kept secret because for as good as they were, there should be a line out the door!!! The mashed potatoes and rice were a bonus with this dish. The mixed platter consisted of several different meats including cevap (a Bosnian sausage?), a flattened meat patty, beef skewers, and some grilled chicken. The salad that it came with had a very nice dressing that kept things well balanced. Unfortunately the chicken skewers were dry and boring compared to the rest of the literal meat feast going on. To end the night we got the turkish coffee and the tiramisu. The tiramisu had just the right level of sweetness and the coffee cut right through the sweet bitter notes of the dessert. Perfect date night spot and one of Houston's hidden gems if you want to get away from the usual food scene. read more

We ordered the: 1) Greek salad: great way to break up the protein heavy meal! 2) Cevapcici: this was my favorite thing we ordered!!! Highly recommend getting this dish 3) Sarma: cabbage rolls stuffed with ground beef and rice, served with a side of mashed potatoes. The cabbage rolls were soft and the filling was flavorful. The mashed potatoes completed the cabbage rolls well. 4) Gulas: traditional Bosnian thick beef stew served over mashed potatoes. Think of a hearty beef stew bursting with flavor. Great for a meal, esp on a cold day! 5) Cheese Burek: pita stuffed with cheese!! Great app to start the meal with :) For dessert we got the Palacinke (Bosnian crepe) filled with fig jam. I LOVED the fig jam and it wasn't too sweet. But the star was the Tufahija!!!!! It's a walnut stuffed apple poached in sugar water. It was so simple yet it was one of the highlights of the meal. Please please go support this local business cooking up authentic Bosnian food. You won't be disappointed!! The employees were so nice. It's a clean restaurant and service was very good. Amazing find. While traveling in Houston for work, I was excited to see this nearby as I've never tried Serbian cuisine. The flavors are an interesting meld of southern European and Levantine tastes, focused on regional meats. They have delicious vegetarian bureks filled with cheese, spinach or potato; just two of those with an appetizer will fill you up nicely. They've also got an OG soda native to the Balkans called Cockta if you're into trying funky beverages from other countries.
