JACK is your basic casino with a game for everyone. They have plenty of table games and slots, but the buy-ins are usually pretty high even during the week. There could definitely be more options for food and drinks but overall it's a good time if you're downtown. They do also have a sportsbook if that's more your thing. Visited the buffet at the Jack Casino for lunch. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the buffet with drink and no tip is $15.00. That is a very good price for what you get. You get access to a wide variety of quality food. There are not a lot of buffets in the area these days. By default, this buffet is, therefore, one of the best buffets in the area. It wasn't very busy and we got through the non-member line quickly. We were excorted to a table and then we went to the buffet. The buffet is long, so it's a little walk to get from one end to the other. The food all looked good. We skipped the Mexican and salad sections. There was a tasty looking hamburger buffet, but I skipped that too. The pizza looked good as well, but since my life is full of pizza, I skipped that section as well. Finally, I saw the stuff I like - veggies, pasta, and meat. I didn't get any fried chicken, but I loaded up on pasta and various sauteed veggies like green beans, sweet potatoes, broccolini, and mashed potatoes. When I returned to the table, our drinks still were not delivered, but they arrived within a few minutes. The veggies were delicious, but the brocollini was a little tough. The mashed potatoes were awesome. I loved the veggies. On my second trip, I got some more veggies and mac n cheese. I didn't want to over eat, so I kept it to two plates. On Wednesdays or Thursdays, I will definitely be making a visit to this buffet because it is so much better than some of the other food in the area and in some cases, cheaper. Take for example, two summer rolls, a glass of water, and some noodles and veggies is $24 at a nearby restaurant. While this meal is tasty, it's not a good value. At yet another nearby food stand, I can get a bottle of water, veggies, meat, and noodles with sauce for $7 - a great value. I almost didn't come to this casino after reading all the reviews. So glad that I did. Located right in the middle of downtown, it was very easy to get to, signs were direct of where to park, plenty of parking with an overpass ramp to walk directly to the casino without having to cross the street. If you play over a certain time (either 30 mins or 1 hr) with a Players Card, your car is also validated for free at the parking garage! The casino looks small from the outside, but it's huge! 3 floors, plenty of games, new ones too, clean facility (along w/the restrooms), and so many choices! I have been here probably 10 times over the last two to three years. I have to come to town for work how and again and was bored one night and figured I'd pop in to entertain myself. I only play the slots, first time I came, I won a little money. 2nd time I came I won some more. Ever since my first two visits, I've never won again on the slot machines. So I mainly come to hang out, the sports book area with TVs is a nice spot to see a lot of games. The bar on the first floor is pretty nice. The bar on the 2nd floor however is disgusting. It wasn't as bad the first couple times I was here. But now, it just reeks of mold and dirty beer and booze. As someone who's worked at restaurants and bars before. I know that smell, it means they are not cleaning the floors, counters, drains and soda guns correctly. The smell is stale beer and mold that has not been cleaned properly. I don't know how the bartenders can stand to be back there. I place my order and stand back waiting till they're done because it stinks so bad. The managers must smell it, you need to take care of it, it's so bad. The other negative is there are a lot of homeless people that hang out in front and around the casino. I get that it's a public street, but it would be nice if you had security outside. Aside from the begging, multiple times I've seen homeless people yelling at people walking by. On more then one occasion I saw people follow behind customers who wouldn't give them money yelling at them for like a block. Gets shady real fast once it's dark. The restaurant on the 2nd floor that makes burgers is good though. I've eaten there several times. If not for the smelly bar, the homeless people and the terrible luck I've had the last several visits. I'd rate it higher, the casino in Pittsburgh is 10 times nicer. I wish I'd had time to stop in a play. Unfortunately, my visit was a brief viewing of both floors and picking up a $1 chip, a personal thing that I do at every casino I visit. JACK has literally every table and video machine known to man. If you can't find your gambling vice here, I'd be shocked. Craps is my personal favorite, and they have plenty of tables to facilitate the masses. I was also surprised to see a new format for craps which features a pit employee operating an automated dice roll, with horseshoe shaped seating area around a half table and video boards to place your bets. Very large casino in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Staff were very nice and helped us navigate to the players club. First time members can get free play for signing up but you must download an app to do so. This is not advertised as part of the promotion and we only learned this upon signing up. The casino has gaming machines and table games to choose from. We took a look at the Buffett which was available for a special rate on Thursdays. The quality of the food we saw lead us to pass so I am not able to speak on the food options, but for entertainment Jack Casino is fine; just your average casino Parking is also available but we walked over from our hotel to save money. read more

As someone was who frequents Vegas, I was not impressed. It was difficult to find the front door. It's located by a bus stop so there's interesting people hanging around the building. We got asked for money three times before finding the front door. You have to provide your ID to get inside but I did see security allowing for older people to walk-in without showing their ID. They have a buffet and a small food court with overpriced food. They offer slots, tables, and there was a sportbook. Overall it was small but filled with locals. One of the worst casinos!! Very tight slots! Would not surprise me if they are going below mandatory RTP and just accepting a small fine! They have to be programming the auto shufflers! It would be impossible for the dealer hand to be winning outright over 80% of the time if they didn't! Horrible comping system! I am a K card status player and receive next to nothing for promotionals. My friends who are the base J cards receive far more than me. Sleigh bar Very festive! I was in downtown Cleveland and had heard about the Christmas bad and wanted to check it out. It is on the third floor so you have to go thru the casino to get there. I don't know.......they allow a lot of rif-raf in off the street and that seemed a little off with all the security staff lingering around. This is NOT like Vegas. Drinks are NOT complimentary if you are spending your time and money at a blackjack table. That came as a surprise to me and also an annoyance. Our friend had a free pass for the buffet and we inquired if we could get one as well if we signed up for their player's club. NOPE. Sure can't. I ordered Starbucks online, and it happens to be in the Jack casino. I'm waiting in line, and a security guard (guy A) calls out to everyone, stating 35+ can come to the short line. I'm 35, so I did. The other security guard who was managing the line (guy B) told me to go to the back of the line, I asked if this is the line for 35+, he said yes, I said I'm 35. He looks at my ID for a good 30 seconds, then sends me to the back of the line anyways, with everyone who is younger. I ask guy A, why he didn't allow me through, guy A said he didn't know, so he went to ask, and he didn't give me any reason that I understand. it was my turn in line, I then started recording him, he completely denied me entry and he claims it was because I was recording. I told him that i wasn't recording the first time around and he still made me go to the back of the line in spite of me proving that i was 35+ and i asked him why he discriminated against me despite me proving myself. i have coffee I wanted to grab that I had ordered ahead of time, and he didn't give me any reason as to why he denied me access the first time around, and why he's denying me access to food I already paid for, and on top of that, half of the casino knows my age for no reason at all, so I went in through a different entrance. I get my Starbucks, and he hunts me down because he was that determined to kick me out of the casino, and he says it's because he has a right to deny service to anyone because it's private property. whether they have the right, I was definitely discriminated against and I have the right to report about it, and to protect myself in any instance my liberties feel threatened by recording the situation. Chris who was apparently the supervisor of the check in tried my ID 4 times and it didn't work when my friend asked to have the guy who scanned my ID the first time 20 mins before trying to reenter Chris escalated the situation. I ended up running back to my hotel to grab my passport and running back Chris had called the Cleveland police. Chris was very aggressive and did not have any reason to be as my friend was a valued member of this establishment for years. He executed very poor judgement and it seems like racial profiling. They were going to charge me $7 for a Tom Collins , so I settled on the FREE Pepsi. It was flat and wasn't very good. I loved the atmosphere and will definitely go again. Now I carry pepper spray with me....security checks do not really check anything. But this month the casino was cleared of homeless....amazing! No one was sleeping on the machines!! Decent size casino with plenty of table games and slots and the best part about the casino is that it's SMOKE FREE! My wife and I stayed in Cleveland for a few days and, obviously we had activities planned, but one of the best parts about our stay was that we stayed in a hotel that was only 1 block away from JACK Cleveland. For tourists staying in the downtown area, this casino couldn't be any more convenient as it's located in the heart of the city. For a downtown casino, it's a good size, with 3 floors and lots of gaming spaces. Their slot machines were in good condition and fairly new looking and the atmosphere inside was lively, especially on a Friday evening. There were also a lot of table games too, with plenty of $10 blackjack tables. On the ground floor, the casino houses a buffet, but avoid it and eat somewhere at nearby East 4th Street instead. The buffet is not worth the admission. In addition, it's common to always be careful at a casino, but the outside of it was a bit sketchy with a lot of people hanging around. Overall, JACK Cleveland was actually a solid casino and one of the better local casinos we've been to domestically. read more

It should be zero stars. I recently went to the goodbye Teto baseball lgame. Not only was there a ballgame that evening. There was also a concert. The only available parking garage was Jack Casino. There was no signage as to special event parking. After the Guardians game we headed back to the parking garage. I noted to my spouse how grungy the entrance to the parking garage was. Disgustingly dirty. Anyway, upon exiting the garage I was totally surprised about the $60 parking fee. That's $20 per hour. I guess the Jack Casino doesn't make enough off of gamblers so they have to charge $60 for parking. Great goodwill to out of town guests. They only made $20 million last year. Randomly when your up all night flying across the country you sometimes catch the train out of the airport and where does it end up The Casino! Yeah I really just couldn't not walk in here with two huge bags of luggage to stop to play some roulette for a minute because why the hell not it just sounded like a good idea and walking out a few dollars richer than I was when I walked in it was then that I did feel this was totally worth it! They had some table games some slot machines craps and all the goodies you find at a typical casino including my favorite roulette which is the game I usually tend to play because it's just what's good for the time being as it's one of the ones I usually win at. Of the games here they had a good assortment for the size of the casino as it didn't really feel that big but it had enough to keep me happy and win a bit for the time being. They also had a check-in offer for one of the restaurants here so if your going to be here for a good amount of time definitely take advantage of that! One of the best things I found about this casino is that it was smoke free so you don't have to cough up a lunge wile you throw your money away or take theirs so that's definitely a huge plus! I don't know if they changed owners or what but lately our experience has not been good. They switched loyalty cards and the redemption machines didn't alert us, they kept saying user not found, tried a few machines before realizing we needed a new card. I then went to the card reprinting machine and it kept timing out and returning my ID without any reason. I got in a long line to get a new card and the representative couldn't print me a new card for some reason. I had to wait for the guy next to him to do it. We had a free buffet that is originally $34.00. The buffet was a mess, all the tables were dirty. The food was all empty and what was there was cold. The slots just took our money so it wasn't fun at all. Usually you win som and loose some but this time it was all loose. There are less and less people going there, I think they are on the way of going out of business. read more
